I often get asked questions about scripture, theology, Bible, etc. From time to time I make that into a podcast or video. Today's video on a question I recently got asked; "What does the Bible say about Heaven and Hell and the afterlife/" Turns out... not that much really.
The Gospel of John could be the most loved book of the New Testament. In this video, I share with you how John compares Jesus to the Passover Lamb. There are a few problems with this motif.
Outside of my mother, Ashley Ingram is the first person to return to the podcast. You may remember her from Episode 014. At that time she had just won the title Ms. US World and me knowing nothing really of pageants and her being local I invited her on the podcast. A year later and Ashley has just won the title Ms World 2019 and she has also gotten engaged... we have a bit of fun with that. Be sure to follow Ashley: Instagram: #msworld.2019Her Boutique: www.shophermajesty.comFacebook: Ms. World 2019 - Ashley Ingram

Three and a half years ago, after years of struggling with opioid addiction, Paige entered a program called Celebrate Recovery. Paige has an amazing story and I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed my time talking with her.
What is going on you beautiful people?Today we sit down in the home of Skye Miu Steppe. Skye has a rare genetic disease called Fibrous Dysplasia. In this episode, she shares her lifelong journey of living with the disease and how that led her to become an advocate for other rare childhood diseases as well. Prior to meeting Skye, I had no idea of just how prevalent things like this was. She first reached out to me because her mom had been on my podcast and Skye was interested in starting her own podcast. I asked her what she wanted her podcast to be about and she said rare childhood disease. That's when she started telling me her story. I suggested that we should do a podcast about it and that way she could get an idea on how to do this. A few days later I learn that a family member had a child suffering from a rare skin disease and they had asked that I do a podcast on it. Weird, huh? Coincidence, huh? Or, maybe, just maybe, all things are spiritual. If you would like to learn more about Fibrous Dysplasia, rare childhood disease and how you can get involved in raising awareness, go visit Skye's website "FD Warriors". I wish I could say that this was a definitive message, it's not, with every answer came even more questions. The paradox, the contradictions, the allegory, and metaphor... I may be more perplexed than when I started. Here is the YouTube version: https://youtu.be/w9gWJaSLkhQ As always, don't forget to like, share, subscribe and comment.

First things first, in the intro I mention a Go Fund Me for a local family that lost 3 young children this week. You can go here to find out more. I grew up watching pageants, not because I wanted to. We had 3 channels and mom liked watching them. I never really got the whole purpose of them, I mean I knew they provided scholarships, entertainment, etc. however, it wasn't something that interested me at all. Later on in life we had a daughter and she isn't the girly girl type so entering her into something like this never entered the equation. My entire view of pageants is summed up with what I know from the Movie Miss Congeniality and reality tv. The other day a news article came across my feed about a local woman who had won the national title of Ms. US World 2019. Her name is Ashley Ingram and she's from Sweetwater, TN. At first, I didn't think much of it. Later that day as people were talking about her, I thought; Hey, this would be a good chance for me to dive a little deeper and find out what is the attraction to pageants. At the beginning of the podcast, I share the thought that I'm actually surprised that pageants are still a thing in today's era. I even ask if they aren't a bit degrading to women. Follow Ashley: FacebookInstagramHer Majesty Boutique Learn More About the Ms World Pageants Here A very special thank you to Cup Runneth Over Coffeehouse for letting us use your space. Today we visit the Philpott Farm in Englewood, TN. Our guest is Dr. Sarah Philpott. She earned her Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Tennessee. Sarah is one of those people that, when you hear her name spoken it's always is a positive light. She's a wife, business owner, and mother of three. Sarah and her husband, like many, have also experienced pregnancy loss. Out of that experience, she began a project of reaching out to other women who had also experienced the same and that research resulted in her book, "Loved Baby". It's a 31 day devotional from a Christian perspective on dealing with the pain and grief associated with that. We did record this in her home and her kids were there. So, in this podcast, you're going to hear them a lot. Which, is one of the things I love about this podcast. You can find Sarah here: All American Mom Here is my affiliate link to her book: Loved Baby by Sarah Philpott

This last Sunday, August the 5tth, I woke up to a phone call with my mother screaming for my help. I immediately ran down to the house to find her over my dad. He had passed. Needless to say, this week has been rough. Thankfully, my children, who live in the Pacific Northwest, were able to make the flight and be here for the funeral. On Wednesday night I spoke at my dad's funeral and once we got home we all sat down over a few beers and had a great conversation. Here is my dad's obituary.
