In the opening take, Lee takes a look at some interesting developments in the movement of the OU-Nebraska betting line. Then Grant joins to go over some of the latest news surrounding the Sooners including the upcoming return of Wanya Morris, an injury update from Brent Venables, and future series with Georgia and Tennesse getting canceled (3:00). Turning our attention to OU-Nebraska. This will be the most hostile environment Dillon Gabriel's ever played in (13:45). Nebraska's offense is very good, led by Casey Thompson (26:10). Nebraska has the worst defense in P5 football (40:00). Lee tells you his OU-Nebraska prediction, although he doesn't love the pick. Plus we give final thoughts on the matchup (51:05). We read questions and comments from the "West of Everest" Facebook page (58:25). Let's talk about the Big 12, but first Lee has to rant about hating Iowa. K-State blew out Missouri last week, Kansas looks competent, and we were both dead wrong about the Texas-Alabama game (1:02:40). We do our weekly picks which include BYU-Oregon/Penn State-Auburn/Texas Tech-NC State/Michigan State-Washington/Miami-Texas A&M (1:14:25). Fresno State-USC could be interesting (1:27:40). | Like the show on Facebook: @westofeverest | Follow Grant on Twitter: @GrantBenson25 | Follow Lee on Twitter: @LeeBensonNews9

When most people outside of Europe think of diesel performance, Cummins, Chev, or Ford probably come to mind. As this week's Tuned In podcast guest tells us, however, there's a lot more to the performance diesel world than the big 6BTs and 6.0 Powerstrokes.Use ‘PODCAST75' for $75 off your first HPA course here: https://hpcdmy.co/hpa-tuned-inOriginally hailing from France and now based in Nashville, Tennesse, Grégoire Blachon has built his business, Boxeer, off the back of Volkswagen Audi Group's impressive family of TDi four-cylinder diesel engines. Boxeer's journey began with TDi conversion packages for VW's Vanagon overland vehicles, and having always had an interest in motorsport, Grégoire always felt the urge to start pushing these stout engines in a motorsport environment — specifically hill climbing. Podcast host Andre Simon and Grégoire get stuck into exactly what makes these little TDis so good, and how he gets the absolute most out of them utilising obscure standalone ECUs, triple compound turbo induction, in-cylinder combustion pressure monitoring, and more. Grégoire goes on to break down the TDi-powered build he's best known for — his tube-frame Beetle hillclimber — which he's used in the last few years to come tantalisingly close to clinching the diesel win at Pikes Peak. After breaking the Bug down, Grégoire talks Andre through his new build, which he hopes will absolutely smash the diesel record at this month's 100th running of the Pikes Peak International Hillclimb. Based on a Radical chassis, the new car runs the same triple turbo TDi setup (with some extra added spice) and the same Porsche PDK gearbox, but with a considerable drop in weight and aerodynamic drag, as well as far superior handling and braking. The European diesel world isn't one that we've discussed much — if at all — on this podcast, so this conversation with Grégoire is a really interesting look at what makes these platforms tick, and how builders like Boxeer are getting serious performance out of them. As mentioned in this episode, you can find Skynam, the ECU Grégoire uses here: www.skynam.com And if you want to follow Grégoire's progress, check out the Boxeer social channels below:IG: @Boxeer_FB: Boxeer - Diesel Motorsports and OverlandingYT: Gregoire S. The New England Patriots defense was really good last year ranking in the top 10 in several statistical categories. The Patriots defense however struggled against the run as they had the 24th ranked run defense last season. New England's defense was also slow and needed to add speed over this off-season to better matchup with teams that have a dual-threat QBs and teams that can stretch the field vertically. What adjustments will Bill Belichick and DC Steve Belichick make to improve their run defense this season? JT Sports discusses how good the New England Patriots defense will be in 2022. The Dolphins defense got off to a slow start last year but turned it around during the middle of the season and became one the best units over the second half of the 2021 NFL season. With the firing of Brian Flores and the hiring of new HC Mike McDaniel will the Miami Dolphins defense take a step back this year? McDaniel retained DC Josh Boyer but how much was he responsible for the success Miami had on defense last year which is a big question many fans are asking. The Dolphins have one of the most talented defenses in the NFL with star CB Xavien Howard, DE Emmanuel Ogbah, Jaelan Phillips, and Jevon Holland but with uncertainty at DC how good will the Miami Dolphins defense be in 2022? The New York Jets entire offense struggled last season, from dealing with several injuries to key players and Zach Wilson having an underwhelming rookie season this unit could never find their stride. This off-season the Jets took major steps to improve their offense by drafting Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall, and signing OG Laken Tomlinson to pair alongside their young core. With Zach Wilson going into his second season how much will he improve? What impact will second-year players Elijah Moore and Alijah Vera-Tucker have and could they be in for breakout seasons? Will OC Mike LaFleur also improve in his second year as the Jets offensive play-caller? JT Sports discusses how good the New York Jets offense will be in 2022. The SEC Football conference is widely considered the best conference in College Football with talented players coming and going every year. JT Sports gives his breakout players for every SEC team for the 2022 College Football Season. Who will breakout for Georgia, Tennesse, South Carolina, Florida, Kentucky, Missouri, Vanderbilt, Alabama, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Mississippi State, Auburn, and LSU? --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/jtsports/support

The Tennesse Titans went 12-5 last season, clinching the one seed in the AFC before losing to the Bengals in the Divisional Round. After trading away star WR AJ Brown to Philadelphia and suffering a couple of losses on the offensive line many NFL fans feel Tennesse will miss the playoffs in 2022. JT Sports gives his thoughts on the Titans current roster and how good are there playoff chances going into the 2022 NFL season. The Dolphins made a lot of moves to improve the offense this off-season. Trading for star WR Tyreek Hill pairing him with fellow wideout Jaylen Waddle couple with singing Cedrick Wilson and star LT Terron Armstead in Free Agency. JT Sports feels the Miami Dolphins have done a phenomenal job building around young QB Tua Tagovailoa and with the hiring of Mike McDaniel this offense could explode this NFL season. Baltimore suffered a lot of injuries last season, especially on the offensive side of the ball. However, the Ravens traded away Marquise Hollywood Brown to Arizona and many fans are skeptical about OC Greg Roman. The Baltimore Ravens do return RBs JK Dobbins and Gus Edwards and Lamar Jackson comes back fully healthy after missing the second half of last season. JT Sports gives his thoughts on how good the Ravens offense will be in 2022. With the departures of WRs Tyreek Hill, Demarcus Robinson, and, Byron Pringle who will step up at WR for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2022? Will Mecole Hardman finally breakout? What about Chiefs Free Agent signings JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdes-Scantling? Kansas City also drafted rookie wideout Skyy Moore in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft and signed UDFA Justyn Ross. Sylvester Jenkins III from Tennesse, is an Army veteran, author, mental health advocate and speaker. He empowers the next generation to thrive and not just survive. Sylvester is no stranger to adversity, he grew up in a single-family, low-income household surrounded by gang violence in a drug-infested neighborhood, where a young man was only expected to do 3 things, die, go to jail, or make it out by luck. With four tours in Iraq and one tour in Afghanistan, he suffered from PTSD, anxiety and depression after 21 years of military service as First Sargeant and combat and he also went through a devastating divorce. It took working with behavioral health resources and being put in a leadership position over others in the military, for Sylvester to fully tap into his limitless resilience. With self-exploration and the right resources, he's not only been able to harness it further, but he's been able to help thousands do the same. He is a phenomenal author & speaker who has empowered 1000's of people by helping them reach their goals, both personally and professionally.Sylvester has dedicated himself to sharing his life's work to help others become the best version of themselves. Transcript:Hey Pod lovers. If you're joining us for the first time: Welcome! The Mastercast is a podcast recommendation show that brings you a brand new non-spoiler binge-worthy review every week of the best podcasts in a short and sweet 2-3 minute summary on everything you could want to know, from the number of hosts to on average how long you can expect each episode to be. New episodes come out every Monday. You can find the week's other reviews on the show's social on Instagram @themastercast and Twitter @mastercastpods I'm your host Marie and before we get to this week's review it's announcement time. This episode is actually the last episode that will be appearing under the KCSU network. KCSU is a student-run radio station from Colorado State University and while I was a student and worked there they hosted the show but now that I'm graduating I'm bringing the show with me and continuing it on my own. I'm really so grateful for everything KCSU has taught me and wanted to so thank you and I can't wait to see what the station continues to come up with because it is in really good hands. If you want to see what they're up to you can head over to KCSUFM.com and if you'd like to help out this newly independent show you can find me on buy me a coffee and pateron by searching The Mastercast. I'd really appreciate it. But on this week's review which is..Cowper This 2019 podcast could be pegged as true crime but it listens more as an investigative journalistic piece. Looking into who could be culpable in the second-worst road disaster in Australian history, the show by the Daily Examiner is a six-part series. 30 years ago near the small town of Cowper sometime between 3-4 am a semi-truck carrying pineapples drifted onto the opposite side of the road and collided with a commuter bus carrying 45 people. This caused the entire right side of the bus to be sheared off, passengers to fall out onto the roadway, and the vehicle to flip into a roll. 21 of the passengers were killed and the incident led to calls for upgrades to the road that would take three decades and hundreds of lives to make. This pod's intimate details of the last moments of the victims lives as well as those following the crash, is something I had to hear to get the gravity of. It is the brainchild of Jenna Thompson and narrated by Mary Gardiner with interview help from Kathryn Lewis, and Lesley Apps. The script writing was done by Michelle Gately. Side note: I LOVE when all involved with a show are credited both in audio and written somewhere. Not only is it easy to give them the credit they deserve in reviews like these but makes for a searchable text on the interwebs. Apple Podcasts has 5.0 out of 5 stars BUT ONLY ONE RATING which I can not believe. Episodes are all 29 minutes and commercials are average. One thing I do like about the breaks in this show is they have mental health hotline PSAs which with the topic covered is needed. The music is fitting and there's only one instance of the host seeming to use heavy emphasis for dramatic effect (just once). Trigger warnings for descriptions of injury, suicide, fear, and hopelessness. It's a hard listen but worth hearing the stories told of those affected. Mario Cristobal and Billy Napier were brought to the sunshine state with Cristobal being hired by the Miami Hurricanes and Napier getting hired by the Florida Gators. Both coaches have impressive resumes and did a great job with their previous programs but which Head Coach will have more success in year one with their new programs? JT Sports feels the Pittsburgh Steelers are being slept on once again. The Steelers had a very good off-season addressing several needs on the offensive side of the ball like WR and OL and also improving on the defensive side as well signing CB Levi Wallace and LB Myles Jack via Free Agency. Pittsburgh also found their franchise QB by drafting Kenny Pickett 20th overall in the 2022 NFL Draft. The Steelers are playing in the AFC North one of the toughest divisions in the NFL this season with many pundits projecting Pittsburgh to finish in last place behind the Ravens, Bengals, and Browns. JT Sports explains why you shouldn't sleep on the Pittsburgh Steelers this season. Hendon Hooker quietly was one of the best QB's in College Football last season throwing for 2,895 yards, completing 68.2% of his passes, and had one of the best TD-INT ratios in the nation with 31 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions. Hendon Hooker returns to Tennesse along with eight returning starters on offense. If Hooker picks up from where he left off last season the Tennesse Football program could be in for one of their best seasons in recent memory led by their breakout star. After trading away longtime QB Matt Ryan to the Colts, the Atlanta Falcons are starting a new era at QB. The Falcons signed Marcus Mariota via Free Agency and drafted rookie QB Desmond Ridder in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Who will be the Atlanta Falcons starting QB this season Marcus Mariota or Desmond Ridder? --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/jtsports/support
