This was the first piece I sent to Champions Mindspark Radio Show hosted on Peace fm 90.5 in Jos, Plateau State. It gives me the motivation to keep going. January ended with this episode. Be reminded that you're not too young to be a champion.
That kindergarten rhyme was more than just a rhyme. It had different versions but I chose this one! You don't want to meet the crocodile in this piece. (smiles)
We love to judge. We feel righteous because it wasn't we caught in act or maybe we've classified every sin into different levels, and so our sin looks littler than the next person's. But we have no right. None. For all have sinned.
Imagine if Christ came to earth in this 21st Century in all His glory and power? I don't think He would come in form of a baby even. There won't be any need. This piece draws our attention to the reason for His humble birth.
The past doesn't just disappear. It finds sweet refuge in your mind especially when it's all cozily bottled up. It can stand in your way and become your monster. Break that bottle. Let the content run out. Expose it. Let it wash over you, yeah it all happened. Breathe and walk out of it's dark corners. It is only then that you'll be free. Otherwise, hold on to it like a stupid drunk and watch your past replay like your favorite song.
"What's next?" comes with this subtle pressure that messes your mind. And when it's asked by friends and especially parents, it's even more stressful. Those two words hold a lot of expectations you fear you might not meet. Somehow, I just hold on to hope that I'll be fine eventually.
