Another old friend is back on the show, to give our Dearest listeners an update on the ever evolving situation in Syria - so welcome back the gallic tones of France 24 journalist and fellow of the Soufan Centre, Wassim Nassr! In this conversation, Thomas Small and Wasim discuss the current state of Syria, focusing on the recent lifting of sanctions by Trump, the implications for President Ahmad Al-Shara's government, and the historical context of Franco-Syrian relations. As the remnants of ISIS loom in the east, they touch on what Sharra has been doing to ensure transitional justice in a post-war society. They also look to the geopolitical dynamics at play, given the complexities of the current political landscape in Syria and its neighboring regions - from the influence of Turkey in Syria, to the shifting geopolitical dynamics involving Israel, and the evolving situation in Lebanon and Iraq. The last episode of season two has aired and been reviewed, which means it's time for the wrap-up episode! Kat, Liz, and Tansy have gathered to give their opinion on Ncuti's time as the Doctor, the wonderful companion Belinda Chandra, and create their wishlists for the future of Doctor Who. As for the future of Verity! the podcast is taking a break for now, but we'll let you know what's next as soon as we know. Lynne and Erika couldn't make the episode, but they've given their Doctor Who future wishlists: Erika's Wishlist: 1. I want MORE WRITERS! My favourite eps have been the non-RTD eps, and I would like more of those (preferably from a very diverse set of writers). 2. I want new blood at the helm -- someone who grew up on the modern series not the classic series. And for the love of Susan, not a white dude, please. 3. Speaking of Susan, I'd like Carole Ann Ford to get an actual, proper appearance that genuinely works and isn't weird nonsense. (Yes, I'm referring to both her onscreen appearances and the rumours of what was supposed to happen before the rewrites. I think it's all nonsense.) Lynne's Wishlist: 1. I wish that the BBC would openly recognize Doctor Who as a unique and wonderful thing that only the BBC could have created and be proud of it instead of treating it more often than not as something they grudgingly tolerate. 2. I wish for a sufficient number of well-crafted episodes to directly match up with the time and money that are available to create them. 3. I wish for more bold and inclusive storytelling. This season felt like Doctor Who was starting to find its groove again, and I would hate to lose that momentum. 4. BRING BACK RIVER SONG! Dearest listener, what does your wishlist for Doctor Who look like? What have we missed in our reviews? Leave us a comment or join the discussion on Instagram and Bluesky. Listen to Liz (and Paul's) podcast Telefantasy Time Jump! ^K

Somebody get him a tie for Father's Day.We'll dive into the build for Cena vs. Orton at Backlash, the arrival of a powerhouse new tag team from NXT, a must-watch clash between Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill, and Jacob Fatu staking his claim as the new U.S. Champion. Expect wild takes, wild laughs, and maybe a few paternity jokes as we navigate the SmackDown madness. Don't miss it!

Today's episode is a new ramblings and musings! This one feels reminiscent of a more chaotic time in the podcast where I talked about way more than four dramas at a time in these episodes, but it's still not as bad as it used to be! But in this one, I will fill you in on Kdramas that I'm currently watching, like My Dearest Nemesis and, yes, Chunhwa Love Story. And then I also give you some insight on what I'm still hoping to watch, but just having gotten around to, like The Potato Lab. Let's also let you in on two upcoming dramas that have me beyond excited like Way Back Love. Then I close the episode to update you on the only drama I recently finished watching and spoiler alert...it wasn't a Kdrama! The WitchBuried Hearts (11:51)Chunhwa Love Story (22:11)My Dearest Nemesis (37:10)UndercoverHigh School (45:46)FlourishedPeony(59:02)
