Brooks Nuanez and Colter Nuanez drop the first of an array of Skyline Sports content leading up to Saturday's showdown for the outright Big Sky Conference championship in Missoula as No. 2 Montana hosts No. 3 Montana State in the 124th meeting between archrivals. The Nuanez brothers recap Montana State's 38-17 win over No. 9 UC Davis on Saturday (5:44) and Montana's 63-17 win over Portland State (10:27) before diving into five big questions.12:14 - How much will the momentum of a season play on Saturday? 17:20 - Two of the best quarterbacks in the league in Montana's Keali'i Ah Yat and Montana State's Justin Lamson will each make their first rivalry game starts. What team does that favor? 24:35 -Montana has the top scoring offense in the league (42.2 ppg) and Montana State is the top scoring defense (16.2 ppg). Something has to give...27:50 - Montana State has the most veteran defensive line in the Big Sky and one of the top graded offensive lines in the FCS. But that disparity has been the case for a few years against the Griz and it hasn't mattered. Will it matter on Saturday? 32:31 - Since 2019, the road team has melted as the opposition in hostile territory. Why hasn't it been more competitive the last five rivalry games? 37:53 - Which head coach - Montana's Bobby Hauck with his 7-6 record against the Bobcats but 2-4 since his return or Montana State's Brent Vigen, who is 2-2 against the Griz but 0-2 in Missoula — has more to gain and more to lose from this year's clash? 41:13 - Final thoughts heading into the 124th showdown between the 'Cats and the Griz.

SEASON 3 EPISODE 128: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:45) SPECIAL COMMENT: Trump wants – and his Republican Whore House of Representatives could give him, as early as today, more likely tomorrow – a LAW letting him not only ignore the courts and their injunctions or temporary restraining orders - but immunize himself and his minions from even BEING subject to CONTEMPT CITATIONS. The law, cutting the legs off every judge in this country including all of them on the Supreme Court, is sitting deep in the MAGA multi-trillion dollar budget bill, curled up like a snake ready to attack and poison the judiciary. At Trump’s sole discretion. Any court issuing a T-R-O against Trump or his pack of wolves with titles decimating safety regulations or firing tens of thousands of essential government employees; any court issuing an injunction against Trump kidnapping and renditioning people off the street; any court doing anything Trump doesn’t like could rule whatever IT likes but when it came to the only teeth such orders have – the threat of putting somebody who ignores them, IN jail, FOR contempt, would be GONE. The gist of this is the Trumpists found another loophole, about a cash bond requirement if you seek to enjoin the government. It’s normally set by the judge at Zero Dollars. This bill would make any such Contempt of Court findings or Injunctions set at zero… unenforceable. SO ICE has accelerated the renditions, now dismissing old charges that are currently being ajudicated and seizing the defendants at the courtrooms and putting them on flights to South Sudan or Libya or wherever because, if there's no Contempt of Court, who's going to stop them? ALSO: Kristi Noem having no idea what "Habeas Corpus" is? That was the SMART part. She also doesn't think "suspend" means "enact." Why is Trump investigating Andrew Cuomo? So if he gets elected Mayor of New York they can blackmail him into selling OUT New York. CBS is warned by Senators that its "settlement" with Trump may be a criminal bribe. And the bad news for CNN is, it's become a 24/7 Shopping Channel selling Jake Tapper's crap book. The good news is, they'll be televising George Clooney's live Broadway show about Murrow, "Good Night And Good Luck" so at least there'll be some pretend journalists on the network. B-Block (40:27) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Musk's "Grok" thinks Kristi Noem was talking about the WNBA. The guy Jeopardy fired as host after a week is now running Ben Shapiro's Propaganda Channel. And karma gets Bill Maher back for praising Trump and dissing Larry David: his "uncancellable" podcast studio? Cancelled. C-Block (52:00) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: The arrival of a piece of the fabric roof ripped off Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg last October by Hurricane Milton has inadvertently reminded me why I do this podcast, because it reminded me of the day nearly half a century ago when my dad the architect warned me not to go into an arena with another fabric roof that he (correctly) predicted was about to come off because of bad weather.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Ger and Trevor are gearing up to be the supporting act for Richard Thompson at the Galway International Arts Festival.
SEASON 3 EPISODE 126: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:45) SPECIAL COMMENT: Buyer's Remorse on an unprecedented scale. New polling from the new site of the last chief of 538, Elliott Morris: If the 2024 election were held again today, Harris would win by FIVE. And Trump isn't just underwater he's DROWNING: Net -16 on Approval. STRONGLY disapprove scores twice as highly as strongly approves. Net -34 on his economic decisions. Net -32 on inflation. Net -21 on tariffs and trade. Net -20 on cutting programs. Net -17 on the economy. Net -16 on foreign policy. Net -16 on health care. Net -16 on education. And the Democrats are up in the House midterms by +6. If this were this Obama or Clinton or Carter the right wing press would be DEMANDING the president either fire his entire cabinet or resign. ALSO: Democrats eviscerate Kristi Noem on Kilmar Abrego Garcia and she slanders him by calling him a terrorist. Look in a mirror, witch. BUY mirrors, Chief Justice Roberts and A.G. Sulzberger. Two of the most guilty perpetuators of Bothsidesism point fingers at everybody but themselves because we're all trying to find the guy who did this and as the commentator Darth notes, these two guys are fighting over who gets to wear the Hot Dog Suit. PSAKI PSHOW PSTINKS: MSNBC is trying to spin otherwise, but her ratings in the Maddow slot are, simply, not survivable. B-BLOCK (39:35) SPORTSBALLCENTER: What the heck? A White Sox fan gets elected Pope and five days later White Sox tragic anti-hero Shoeless Joe Jackson is suddenly made eligible for the Hall of Fame? (44:19) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: I'm sure it's delicious and healthy but doesn't a plant-based product called "Protein Puck" make you think of the movie "Soylent Green"? Politico thinks it's got any remaining credibility. Andrew Cuomo thinks HE'S got any remaining credibility and is accused of being backed by MAGA. C-BLOCK (54:10) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: If you want to skip this, please do. But I have a story about an inexplicable hockey card, why they made it in the first place, and why it took 40 years for me to obtain it. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
SEASON 3 EPISODE 125: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:45) SPECIAL COMMENT: What do you like least? Suspending Habeas Corpus? Breaking the law by threatening to arrest members of Congress for obeying the law? Or Trump accepting a half billion dollar impeachable illegal bribe from the government of Qatar that the Attorney General has ruled ISN’T illegal and by the way the Attorney General used to be a lobbyist FOR the government of Qatar? They’re all nation-destroying events but bluntly there is no way back from a suspension of Habeas Corpus. It’s a one-man dictatorship then – because if you think SUSPENDING Habeas Corpus ‘just for undocumented immigrants’ is somehow acceptable on its face, remember two things. One is: that there would be NO HEARINGS and NO LEGAL RECOURSE for ANYONE seized in this way so that all they would have to do is CLAIM that YOU are an undocumented immigrant to rationalize disappearing you, and you would not have a hearing at which you could prove you were a citizen, and you would not have a lawyer to appeal the decision not to GIVE you a hearing. And Stephen Miller didn't even say 'we'd only suspend it for undocumented immigrants.' Of course threatening to arrest members of Congress for exerting their legal right of oversight to the Concentration Camp ICE just opened in Newark by accusing them of assaulting agents (you know: The Congresswoman hit my fist with her face!) is bad and it mainlines back to the idea that they could just arrest them and under suspended Habeas Corpus just disappear them. As Congressman Michael 'I'm Too Dumb To Realize I'm Calling For My Own Arrest' McCaul now says of the Jersey Democrats "you cannot be complicit with gang violence against our law enforcement. And I think perhaps that’s what it comes down to.” ALSO: Trump's new Qatari plane is an illegal, impeachable offense but since the AG already registered as a Qatari agent, just hit the shrug emoji. They've accused The Secretary of Scotch with plagiarism at Princeton. They fired the Librarian of Congress and Karoline Lie-vitt is so stupid she thinks kids check books out of the Library of Congress. Trump now wants Jeanine Pirro as interim U.S. Attorney in DC, which allows us to flash back to the time she lost a page of her speech announcing she was running for Senate and just stood there until they found it for her. And of course, there's a new Pope. Father Bob. Father Bob the White Sox fan. Meaning our Nancy Faust, who went back to the White Sox games yesterday to reprise her role as the greatest stadium organist of all time, is right when she says "Who knew? All those years I literally had a papal audience!" B-Block (46:27) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: This time they're all people I know and used to respect who have failed the world. Gavin Newsom has again proposed appeasing Trump. Bob Iger has again carried an immeasurable amount of propaganda water for Trump. And Claire Shipman, whom I adored, has stood by as Columbia University (you know, the place with the Journalism School) suspended four of its own student reporters for...reporting. C-Block (1:02:00) OUR PAL SMILES again needs your help.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Part 1:We talk with Linggong Kong, aa Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at Auburn University. My research focuses on international relations, including U.S.-China relations, China's grand strategy, and Northeast Asian security, as well as comparative politics, with a particular emphasis on political culture. We discuss the tariffs being imposed on Chines goods, and how this is likely to be perceived by the Chines government. The Chinese economy has been weakened, and now Trump may be perceived as the cause, thus helping the Chinese government shift blame, if any, on him. Weaknesses in the China are due to to export orientation, depopulation, the influence of Russia. However, China has many advantages that it can use to counter the problems. We discuss these advantages and opportunities that can help China "win" this trade war.Part 2:We talk with Chris Lehmann, who is the DC Bureau chief for The Nation and a contributing editor at The Baffler. He was formerly editor of The Baffler and The New Republic, and is the author, most recently, of The Money Cult: Capitalism, Christianity, and the Unmaking of the American Dream(Melville House, 2016).We discuss the pattern of the Trump administration of RENDITION, as opposed to deportation. Americans should be worried, because the pattern seems to be to simply kidnap people from their lives, and WITHOUT DUE PROCESS, or any evidence of wrong-doing, send them to another country, such as El Salvador. Trump has already raised the idea of doing this to American citizens. Music David RovicsWNHNFM.ORG PRODUCTION

Do asylum seekers in the U.S. have rights? Can the U.S. government forcibly deport them to a prison in El Salvador without due process? What about green card holders attending college? Since taking office, President Trump has focused on legal and undocumented immigrants alike, from Venezuelan asylum seekers to visa and green card college students—invoking the Alien Enemies Act to deport some, and even defying court orders. In this episode, Stanford Law immigration law expert Jennifer Chacón joins Rich Ford for a discussion about these unprecedented actions while also addressing the broader implications for human rights and the U.S.'s role as a refuge for persecuted individuals—and the potential for America's diminished international reputation and influence in the world.Links:Jennifer Chacón >>> Stanford Law pageLegal Phantoms >>> Stanford Law pageSurveillance Footage Shows Arrest of Tufts U. Mackenzie reviews the lyrics of the beloved Christmas song “Mary Did You Know” as well as Maverick City Music's interesting version of the song. Are the original lyrics problematic? Did Mary really know?? How should we view this sentimental Christmas ballad? Hi, I'm Mackenzie. I'm a music artist, worship leader, wife, mom (I wear a lot of hats), and host of the Godly Whistleblower podcast. I seek to shine a light on popular teachings and music in the church today and share what Scripture teaches on how we are to worship in spirit and in truth within the church gathering. My desire is to learn together with my listeners how Christians are to live lives ultimately as a pleasing worship to God. If you enjoyed this episode, I'd appreciate so much if you left me a review! Merriam-Webster's Word of the Day for October 15, 2024 is: rendition ren-DISH-un noun A rendition, simply put, is the act or result of rendering something. That thing may be a performance or interpretation, a depiction, or a translation. In US law, rendition refers to the surrender by a state of a fugitive to another state that is charging the fugitive with a crime. // Their signature meat loaf is a fine rendition of a classic recipe. // Theatergoers have been eager for an English rendition of the acclaimed French play. See the entry > Examples: "Clement Scott, Dorothy Stewart, and Maewa Kahihau wrote 'Now Is the Hour' in the early 20th century. Bing Crosby recorded one of the most famous renditions of the song in the late 1940s." — Matthew Strauss, Pitchfork, 7 Feb. 2024 Did you know? When a singer performs their rendition of someone else's song, or a chef adds a few twists to someone else's recipe to concoct their own unique rendition, each is—in a sense—returning: returning to something old in order to create something new. Fittingly, the word rendition, which has been part of English since at least the early 1600s, traces back ultimately to the Latin verb reddere, meaning "to return." Reddere is also the ancestor of the English verb render, whose many meanings include "to give a performance of" and "to give up or yield." Although render took a different path from reddere than did rendition, it's perhaps no surprise that the latter fundamentally means "an act or result of rendering something," and may be applied to everything from a performance, depiction, or translation of something, to a surrender (surrender being another reddere descendent), as in "fugitives awaiting rendition to a neighboring state."

Many people with endometriosis, including about 60% of my clients, suffer with constipation. Is this because of endometriosis directly? Not exactly. There are several reasons someone with endo can have constipation, whilst this episode isn't about that, here's a quick low down on some of the key causes: Endo – Of course, whilst this isn't the case for everyone, endo can be located on the bowel, which can cause structural changes to the bowel, making bowel movements harder. Adhesions – Adhesions from either endo itself or from surgery can attach to the intestines and cause kinks and loops which make it harder for stools to pass through the bowels. P.S. Adhesions from abdominal surgery occur in between 50-100% of patients, and if the abdominal surgery is more significant, the risk is much higher. SIBO – Small intestine bacterial overgrowth, where bacteria overgrow in the small intestine, is a key culprit of constipation, especially in people who have methanogen overgrowth. There are three types of SIBO; hydrogen, methane and hydrogen sulphide. Methane is no longer technically a type of SIBO, it has a new name, methanogen overgrowth, because it occurs not just in the small intestine and in the large too. But the testing and treatment remains the same, so honestly, it's really just a new name and a new way of thinking of it, but we would still informally call it methane type SIBO. Research indicates that people with endo have a higher prevalence of SIBO. Gut dysbiosis – gut dysbiosis is where we have an imbalance of gut bugs in our large intestine, and this can lead to IBS-like symptoms such as constipation. Research is showing an increasing link between endometriosis and microbiome changes. Luteal phase – in the second half of your cycle, after ovulation, known as the luteal phase, our progesterone levels rise (in theory, some people need to boost their progesterone, but that's a conversation for another time). Progesterone is a muscle relaxant, and as a result, it relaxes the muscles of the intestines and slows down motility. This might mean, for the average person, bowel movements are a bit slower, but that they don't have full on constipation. However, if you suffer with any of the above, this hormonal change can trigger or worsen constipation. Read more.
