Ever feel like you're doing everything right and life falls apart anyway, like God went quiet at the exact moment you needed Him most? Joseph knew that feeling. Betrayed by his own family, sold into slavery, thrown in prison for something he didn't do. And four times the Bible says the same thing about him: the Lord was with Joseph. Even in the pit. Even in the cell. This week we're talking about how God does His best work in the dark, and why the hardest season of your life might be exactly where He's doing the most.Recorded live at Word of Life Church in Le Sueur, Minnesota, on Sunday, May 31, 2026, with Pastor Nick Olson preaching.
How do you make Jesus your priority when life is full of competing voices, habits, desires, and distractions? Rich Greene continues the Jesus + Nothing series with a message from Colossians 3. Paul moves from belief to behavior: since we have been raised to new life with Christ, we set our hearts on things above, put to death what belongs to the old life, and put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, forgiveness, and love. This message will help you examine what your life is communicating. If someone looked at your calendar, finances, phone, family, friendships, and daily choices, would they see Jesus as your priority or something else? In Week 8 of the “TEN: Not Just Rules. A Way of Life.” series, we explore the deeper meaning behind “You shall not steal” and discover that theft is often far more than taking money or possessions. From stealing peace, trust, honor, and attention to living with scarcity and self-protection, this message reveals how the enemy works to rob us of the life Jesus offers. Through the gospel, God transforms closed-handed people into people who reflect the heart of Christ.

Ephesians explodes with treasures of truth in every chapter. Paul's description of our blessings in Christ Jesus will stir our hearts to worship him (1:3-14). His exposition of God's amazing grace in raising us from death to life will humble us and move us toward devotion and ministry (2:1-10). Paul's vision of the church—a new society united by Christ and under Christ that causes cosmic creatures to stand in awe (3:1-13)—will strengthen our commitment to God's people. The gifts Christ gives to his church for ministry will strengthen our ministry—to one another and to the world (4:7-16). The book is full of precious promises and radical grace. We study it to strengthen our love for Christ, for one another, and for all who are yet to hear of Christ's grace. This week we are in Ephesians 3:1-6.Life Church exists to glorify God by making disciples who treasure Christ, grow together, and live on mission. Some days, Life is Brutal! Suffering is all around us, but it seems to hurt more when we are suffering, or even worse, when our loved ones are suffering. What do we do when we are suffering? Does God notice? Does God care? God is with you, even when life is brutal. We worship a God who suffered for us and gives us a hope of eternity without suffering.Recorded live at Word of Life Church in Le Sueur, Minnesota, on Sunday, May 24, 2026, with Pastor Jason Lang preaching.
How do you trust God when you are suffering and cannot make sense of what is happening? Pastor Rich continues the Jesus + Nothing series with a message from Colossians 1-2 on the mystery of Christ in us, the hope of glory. Paul writes about suffering while he himself is in prison, reminding us that struggle is not evidence that God has forgotten us. In Christ, suffering can become a place where we experience His presence, depend on His strength, reject counterfeits, and focus again on what is real. This message names the ways we often reach for substitutes when we are hurting: control, blame, escape, positive thinking, busyness, and trying harder. But Jesus is not a supplement to add to our lives. He is everything. May 24th 2026 The presence of God has always been the “one thing” humanity was created for. In this message, Scott Anderson unpacks the story of Pentecost and traces God's presence throughout Scripture — from Mount Sinai, to the Tabernacle, to the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2. Through David's words in Psalm 27:4, we're reminded that what he longed for, we now have access to through Jesus and the Holy Spirit. The greatest gift of Pentecost wasn't power — it was presence. https://www.lifechurchwilm.com/

Brian Zahnd joins me to talk about his new book Unseen Existences — and we get into why modern Western people suffer a kind of spiritual homelessness, how philosophical materialism has convinced us the spiritual world isn't real, and what it looks like to recover a sense that heaven and earth actually overlap. We also dig into the Incarnation as a doorway into mystery, wonder and awe as non-negotiables for living faith, and what it means to hold onto a God who intervenes without turning prayer into a transaction.Brian Zahnd is the founder and lead pastor of Word of Life Church in St. Joseph, Missouri. Do you ever feel overwhelmed? There are just so many things going on in your life, in your head, in your heart and some days it feels like it's too much. What happens when you're feeling overwhelmed? How do you react? God is with you even when you're overwhelmed. God meets you when you're overwhelmed and stays with you. Today Pastor J shares a message of encouragement for us when we are feeling overwhelmed with life.Recorded live at Word of Life Church in Le Sueur, Minnesota, on Sunday, May 17, 2026, with Pastor Jason Lang preaching.
What do you really believe about Jesus? In Colossians, Paul reminds the church that the gospel is Jesus plus nothing. Jesus is not simply one part of the Christian life. He is supreme over all creation, the one who rescued us, the one who defines our identity, and the one who holds all things together. Pastor Rich teaches that we often treat faith like a buffet, choosing the parts we want while leaving surrender, patience, generosity, forgiveness, and obedience behind. But if Jesus is truly enough, then every area of life belongs to Him. This message will help you ask whether Jesus is the foundation you are building on, or decoration you add to make life look better. You may have never committed murder… but what about your heart? In this powerful message, we explore how anger, contempt, and indifference quietly shape the way we treat others. As Jesus exposes what's beneath the surface, He also invites us into a life marked by mercy, where even the deepest brokenness can be transformed by His grace.
May 17th 2026 In this message, “Ready or Not,” we dive into what Jesus taught about the end times and His return. From wars and earthquakes to spiritual deception and the spread of the Gospel, Scripture reminds us that the signs are not meant to create fear, but readiness and hope. Through Matthew 24, Genesis 6, and other key passages, we're reminded that judgment is real, but so is grace. No one knows the day or hour of Christ's return, but every believer is called to stay watchful, faithful, and prepared. The end is not the world falling apart it is God putting everything back together. https://www.lifechurchwilm.com/
