We strip it down simply, without the gambling jargon, so you can understand why this battle matters far beyond sports. And to close the episode, we hit you with a classic Did You Know that will change how you see the holidays forever: why Coca-Cola is the reason Santa Claus wears red.Enjoy The Show, Check out our YouTube page at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoqz3s_B_VYHuQtuVIDxpiQTikTok at https://www.tiktok.com/@therealoshow?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pcTweet @zacharyowings2 with your thoughts on

In this annual Christmas episode of Rector's Cupboard, the cupboard is opened for seasonal tasting, spirited conversation, and a few holy disagreements. Over glasses of wintery mead, the hosts reflect on Christmas songs they love and those they would happily never hear again, exploring how nostalgia, repetition, and theology shape the sounds of the season. What begins lightheartedly soon deepens into a conversation about nativity scenes, immigration, resistance, and why the Christmas story continues to unsettle cultural and political certainties. Along the way, inflatables are stabbed, Randy Savage offers unexpected wisdom, and familiar carols are reframed through histories of abolition, protest, and hope. The episode closes by returning to the heart of Advent and Christmas alike: a reminder that comfort and joy are not sentimental escapes, but promises spoken into a dark and waiting world. As a small gift to you this season, we offer a version of O Holy Night, produced and recorded by friends of the podcast, Mark Woodyard and Rick Colhoun, for the conclusion of the episode. Do you aim to create real change in your community, country or the world? Are you driven to make the kind of impact that leaves a legacy - something that matters for future generations? If you've ever found yourself thinking, “this has GOT to change, and I'm going to do it!”, then this episode is for you. I'm sharing the three unmistakable signs that you're meant for thought leadership, and the steps to help you step into those shoes much sooner than you imagined. Most women - especially coaches and experts -,tend to underestimate themselves. We convince ourselves it's just a “marketing” issue that keeps you feeling invisible, or believe it's an execution problem … and try to post more content. In reality, the problem often lies with how far you're playing below your true potential. What if your ideas are simply too big for the box you've put yourself in? What if your positioning is lacking the authority you deserve? In this episode, I'll help you spot the signs you're ready to lead and guide you to create the clarity you need to finally take your place as a thought leader. Ready to stop hiding in plain sight and claim your space? Let's get into it! You'll hear me cover: Why the ideas you're passionate about might feel “too big” for your current audience - and what that tension is really telling you. What's happening when your clients rave about you behind closed doors, but the wider market just hasn't caught on yet. How boredom with what everyone else is sharing is actually a sign your brain is craving a higher level of conversation and challenge. Why playing it safe with a vague or general niche keeps you stuck - and how you can start shifting into a space that's truly yours. What first step to take to move from hidden expert into your own “thought leader” zone - and how you can claim your advantage, starting today. Curious if this is what's been holding you back? Listen in to find out - the episode just might be the nudge you need to finally stand out and lead with confidence! =================================== The NICHE Buster 7 Day Program For coaches, creatives, consultants who want to rise above the crowd with unique expert positioning! https://www.jessicaosborn.com/nichechallenge ................................................. Ever wish you could skip the sales calls and still see your business grow? Selling can feel a little awkward – alight, it can feel a LOT awkward – for so many of us. I've been there too. But, when selling is literally essential to having a successful business, it's one of those hurdles we've got to overcome. Imagine if selling could actually feel easy, authentic, maybe even enjoyable? In this episode, we're going to tackle your nerves around selling head-on and get you geared up with practical tactics you can start using today. If you want to confidently share your offers without that icky, pushy feeling, then this is for you. I invited Andee Hart to join me for this conversation because she's an absolute expert in sales while also deeply understanding the challenges that women face when we come to make an offer. Andee is a seasoned sales strategist, entrepreneur mentor, and the host of “She Sells Differently.” With 17 years in Fortune 500 tech sales and a thriving candle business she started in her bedroom, Andy's seen both sides – corporate and creator. She's dedicated to helping other women sell with integrity, confidence, and true enthusiasm for their product or service. Here's a bit of what we cover in this exciting episode: Why it's essential to love what you're offering – and how real belief changes the whole energy of your sales conversations (and even your website copy). What gets in the way of sales confidence – and practical ways to get past the anxiety and just show up as yourself. How to recognise the difference between an objection that means “not right for me” versus a hesitation that's actually fear or uncertainty. What simple shifts help people naturally say yes, without pressure or regret (think: making it easy, clear, and welcoming for your customers to buy). Why following up isn't pushy – it's actually a service, and the missed opportunities if you skip it. Andee also shares her favourite sales tools you can use right away – whether you sell services, products, or both. We cover honest mistakes, surprises, and real tips that make selling simpler. You'll leave with fresh ideas, confidence, and maybe even excitement about your next sales conversation. Listen in – I promise this one's packed with insight! About Our Guest: Andee Hart is a dynamic sales strategist and entrepreneur mentor, renowned for her practical approach to selling with integrity and confidence. With over 17 years of experience climbing the corporate ladder in technology sales for Fortune 500 companies, Andee transitioned into entrepreneurship during the pandemic, founding Heart Design Co., a successful candle-making business started in her bedroom. Her side hustle quickly flourished, landing her products in over 120 retailers within three months, which enabled her to step away from her corporate role and pursue entrepreneurship full-time. Drawing from her extensive experience in both product and service sales, Andee now specializes in coaching other entrepreneurs and product businesses on how to sell authentically, connect with their ideal clients, and overcome sales anxiety. She emphasizes the importance of believing in one's product, following up diligently, and learning from feedback to improve sales strategies. Andee also hosts the "She Sells Differently" podcast, where she shares actionable sales tips and advocates for selling with heart and genuine connection. Is it possible to narrow your business focus too much? I get this question all the time, especially from the smart, ambitious women inside my Business JAM program who worry that niching down means saying “no” to too many opportunities. In this episode, I'm reframing that fear, and showing you why saying ‘no' to some of your potential clients is the secret and totally counterintuitive catalyst for growth! We'll explore what really happens when you get specific about who you help and how. Hear some real-world stories (including a recent chat I had online with a financial planner who wanted to do it all) and the signs that indicate your message might be too broad and keeping you stuck in obscurity! If you're still unsure about your market positioning or you're stuck attracting the wrong clients, no matter what you try - this episode is made for you! Here's what you'll walk away with when you listen to the full episode: Why it's almost impossible to make your niche too small - and the pre-wired thinking that's keeping you broad. What the common fears are (like missing out on clients) and why most people get clarity, not scarcity, by specialising. How blending too many roles or services can confuse potential clients, and what it looks like when your audience can't figure out what you do best. Why holistic sounds lovely, but real expertise and trust are built through clear positioning, not trying to be everything to everyone. What steps you can take right now to sharpen your message, clarify your niche, and attract dream clients who see you as the clear solution. Curious to find out if you've actually gone far enough with your niche? Or maybe you know it's time to stand out as the clear choice for your best-fit clients. Tune in to this episode—I'll walk you through what works, what doesn't, and how to finally feel good about your unique spot in the market. .....…….. If you're addicted to external approval - or worrying that your work isn't “good enough” - this episode is one you can't miss! Today, we're chatting about the best ways to find success when you have “people pleasing” tendencies, especially for creatives, who commonly identify as people pleasers! Why does this instinct run so deep, and how is it shaping your results (without you even knowing)? We're going behind the usual surface level fluff, sharing real habits and practical solutions for rewiring those old patterns. Here's just a taste of what you'll hear in this episode: Why do creatives (and business owners) fall into the “chameleon” trap - and how can it hurt you in the long run? What's the difference between adapting for clients' happiness and losing sight of your own goals? How does perfectionism sneak in, making it nearly impossible to finish or share your work? Why saying “no” (and picking a specialty) leads to more freedom, better results, and happier clients? What simple mindset shifts can pull you out of comparison mode so you can finally trust your expertise? If you've ever hesitated to market yourself or struggled to set real boundaries, this episode will help you see things differently - and get you excited about showing up as YOU. The first meteorite to crash land into Earth - and have its date recorded - impacted the hamlet of Ensisheim (in modern-day France, then Austria) on 7th November, 1492. The stone's descent created a crater in a wheat field, captivating villagers who believed such occurrences were cosmic signs. A striking deafening noise accompanied the meteor's descent; the bright trail it left was blinding. A young boy witnessed the fall and alerted the townsfolk, leading to a frenzy of villagers rushing to collect souvenirs and good luck charms from the impact site. The local magistrate intervened, preserving the meteorite by having it relocated to the church for safekeeping.  In this episode, Arion, Rebecca and Olly reflect on how the villagers reacted to the coming of what they called the Thunderstone, or Firestone; explain how the event was widely interpreted as a divine warning mainly thanks to the invention of the printing press; and reveal why the meteorite was affixed to the wall using iron crampons…  Further Reading: • ‘This Famous 1492 Meteorite Impact Was Interpreted as an Omen from God' (VICE, 2016): https://www.vice.com/en/article/jpgk47/this-famous-1492-meteorite-impact-was-interpreted-as-an-omen-from-god • ‘The Meteorite of Ensisheim: 1492 to 1992' (Harvard, 1991): https://articles.adsabs.harvard.edu/cgi-bin/nph-iarticle_query?bibcode=1992Metic..27...28M&db_key=AST&page_ind=0&data_type=GIF&type=SCREEN_VIEW&classic=YES • ‘World's Largest Meteorite Weights Over 100K Pounds But No One Knows Where It Came From' (Did You Know?, 2018): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lJwXquFpHw This episode first aired in 2023 Love the show? The most common complaint I hear is that marketing takes up too much time. And you're not wrong if that's you. The way most people do their marketing is highly ineffective. So today's episode is designed to fix that! There's actually a really simple principle that most people overlook, but once you know it you'll completely change the way you approach your marketing strategy… …and trust me, it's much more powerful than you might think when you hear it! It's based on a well known phrase but we're going to change one word in it to shift the meaning! The answer can revolutionize everything - from how you attract an audience to the clients you sign, and even your bottom-line results. So, what's this word swap, and why does it matter? Listen in as I break down five key areas of your marketing, showing you exactly how this change can make your efforts more intentional, effective, and (finally!) less exhausting. Here's what I cover in today's episode: The faster way to create a scalable foundation for your business Why audience quality matters more than volume for your results - and your energy! What mistakes do most people make when creating content - and how can you avoid them? Why using tools (like AI) can help, but only if you're keeping your personal touch front and center. You'll walk away with a fresh perspective, practical actions, and a whole lot more clarity about what really matters for your marketing. That “five reels a day” pressure? You can let it go - and replace it with a focused, ease-filled strategy that works. Curious about the simple shift that changes everything? There's few women who can put their hand on their heart and say that they've never struggled with their pricing decisions. If you ever found yourself agonising over your prices, tweaking numbers on your spreadsheet for hours, then dropping them by half when your prospect enquires …you're definitely not alone! Pricing is such a silent struggle, especially for women in business like me, who grew up in a household where it was considered rude to discuss money! Today on She's The Business Podcast, I'm breaking the taboo and talking openly about the topic most of us avoid: how to raise your rates ethically, keep your clients happy, and actually grow your business – all at the same time. Yes, it really is possible! I know that money talk can make us uncomfortable. It brings up all sorts of doubts, guilt, and that relentless inner critic. We worry about what our clients will think, whether we'll lose them, or if we'll sound greedy. But here's the twist: charging too little doesn't just hurt your bottom line - it can impact your energy, attract the wrong kind of clients, and even make you resent your business over time. So in this episode, I'm sharing what really works (based on years of experience and experiments!) when it comes to setting your prices right. If you've ever felt stuck, compared yourself to others, or dreaded making a change, this episode is for you. Here's what you'll hear more about when you tune in: Why do women find it so hard to talk about pricing, and what hidden consequences does undercharging really have? What are the most common fears about raising your prices, and are they as logical as they sound? How can shifting your price actually attract higher-quality clients and open new opportunities you haven't even seen yet? What mindset barriers pop up around “judgment” and how can you beat that inner critic at its own game? Why does standing out and differentiating yourself make pricing so much easier than just blending in with the crowd? All this and plenty of practical advice, without the gimmicky tactics or endless bonuses you see online. If you're ready to feel confident and energised about what you charge, tune in now ......……..
