Romans 12:10 ESVLove one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honour. Paul was writing this to a group of people, to a culture if you like. One where honour was something that was selectively given based of cultural expectations/norms. I think this has huge parallels to our world today.I see people picking and choosing when and how to honour based on bias, or mood, or the moment, political or religious leanings... Paul states it pretty clear that we should honour. And not just honour...he adds a challenge to it...try and outdo each other in showing honour.
