Today marks a special episode as we honour Women in Construction and International Women's Day. Joining us are two remarkable women from Gleeson: Alice Best, our Head of Organisational Development, and Sarah Rochelle, our Senior Ecologist. They are here to celebrate and advocate for women in the construction industry, sharing their experiences in a predominantly male environment.This year's Women in Construction theme, 'Keys to the Future', highlights the strength and expertise of women, emphasising their pivotal role in shaping the construction industry's future. Additionally, as International Women's Day coincides with Women in Construction week, we will delve into the 2024 campaign theme, ‘Inspire Inclusion'.

Back by popular demand... We sat down with one of our Senior Site Managers, Gary Davies and Systems Trainer, Debra Bargh (who was formally a Field Sales Executive) to talk through our 21 build stages, and what happens at each point whilst your dream home is being built!

In this episode of the Gleeson New Homes Podcast, we had the pleasure of speaking with retired couple Damon and Frankie, both 66 who relocated from Brighton to Cumbria to downsize and enjoy the peace and beauty of the region.

As part of our commitment to sustainability, we're proud to say that all Gleeson homes built from June 2023 onwards will feature an Air Source Heat Pump. In the last nine months, you will have seen a lot of changes in the housebuilding industry. At the start of this year, we saw rising mortgage rates dominate the headlines with both fixed rates and variable deals becoming more expensive and as a result, the housebuilding industry saw a slight decline in first-time buyers, and a shift towards second-stepper, ‘right sizers' and downsizers.  In this episode, we are joined by Steve McElroy, Group Sales Director, and Amanda Parkinson, Group Marketing Director, who are here to talk about how Gleeson is evolving in this ever-changing market.
