Our players stage one final attack against the Ancient Oak. With Heather fully under its influence, she feels herself losing grasp of her body and mind. Fighting through dense underbrush and vigorous growth, the battle in the city park ends with the Ancient Oak fleeing back toward the city to finish the reclamation of nature. After Heather relinquishes herself to the Ancient Oak, the sheer power and presence is enough to dismantle the Arcane Citadel, threatening the security and safety it provides toward the city and the realm. The city guard decides to unlock her prison, freeing Heather and the Ancient Oak into Telemorah. A few clever spells and some tracking skills reveal that Heather has fled to the gardens surrounding the capitol building. The path is treacherous and ravaged by robust and vigorously growing nature. Vines and roots tear through the gardens an the canopy begins to obscure any visual of the city. Blaine utilizes several sword bursts to cut a clean path but not before the curse of his wild magic unleashes some devastating consequences. With the city walls crumbling, buildings collapsing and its citizens fighting for their lives, will our player's plan work? After narrowly escaping death several times over, our players fight their way back toward the Arcane Citadel. With very few feasible plans or any tangible strategy for saving the city, Heather decides to bring the fight straight to the source. By tapping back into the root connecting her to the Ancient Oak, Heather attempts to lure it out and stage a surprise attack. After a failed attempt she is left vulnerable, leaving a route for the Ancient Oak to bury its roots further into her mind. Heather feels her will dissipate. Nature and carnage continue to unravel and consume the city of Telemorah while our players fight for their lives on top of the Sunrise Tavern. With Bim at the helm of combat, he formulates a plan to lure three conjured bears into the tavern, bolt the door and burn it to the ground. All is going according to plan until Bim risks his life to save Sylvester, getting himself pinned underneath a grizzly bear in the process. Bim shouts for Sylvester to escape while holding his ground underneath the grizzly bear as the tavern begins to burn. The city of Telemorah is under attack. Ancient druidic sigils are being activated throughout the city, conjuring dozens of Feyborn grizzly bears. Without much in the way of a plan, the city guards struggle to form a concrete strategy against nearly 50 bears. With no choice but to take up arms and slay whatever comes their way, our players pave a safe path to a dark and forboding tavern. With access to the roof, they get a better visual. A city overrun by nature. Bears pillaging through homes and mauling citizens, homes destroyed, giant cranes collapsing onto the city, desolation floods the city. Our players manage to conjure a message over the city warning a handful of citizens form their vantage point, only to gain the attention of three freshly summoned grizzlies. The rain begins to pelt down as our players race to Telemorah's only library, a safe haven of knowledge, artificer's wonders, and Ariella's overdue list. With a storm underway and fifty sigils ready to erupt with arcane terror, our players pore through book after book trying to learn anything they can about the impending threat, bears, and more importantly, the Ancient Oaks- primordial druidic entities that connects all things in the natural realm. The realities of an impending threat escalated far quicker than anyone could've been prepared for. Once the threat was realized, the Grizzly Wizard was moved to the Arcane Citadel- a prison that houses some of the realm's most dangerous magical terrorists. After some interrogation Theydor and the city guards learn that there are 50 sigils hidden throughout Telemorah. Upon activating the sigil with water our players find themselves face to face with a fey born grizzly bear. Draped in moss with a mouth full of foam, the grizzly bear immediately beings to maul Sylvester. After a brutal skirmish, the players are able to race their way back to town- but not alone. Herds of animals parade their way toward the main road and begin to form a solid perimeter around the city walls. Panicked, our players dash past the gate and shut it, leaving an army of woodland creatures flanking Telemorah. What does this foreboding ritual mean? And will it rain? After narrowly escaping the horror that resides in the forest, our players find themselves at the Quarry. While still under the influence of a mind altering mushroom, Ariella stumbles down a 60 foot cliff, barely surviving. After tending to her wounds, the party begins to explore a simple dwelling at the base of the quarry. Piles of etched parchment and bark, a moldy mossy bed and a wall full of sigils would indicate that the vandal does indeed live here. With a bit of investigating, Sylvester takes a full water skin and sprays some of the contents onto a fully drawn sigil, activating it. A trek through the forest devolves into an ill omen. Ariella consumes a psychedelic mushroom and is pulled through roots of the realm while the party learns they're not alone. Woodland creatures stand their ground just a few feet away. They feel as if the forest itself does not welcome them. Tensions and anxiety heighten as a large and vengeful presence approaches them from within the trees, sending most of the party fleeing toward the quarry. All except Heather. As Heather pays her respects and reverence to the forest and nature, she feels this presence try to overcome her mind, filling her with rage and vengeance toward civilization. After barely shaking it off, she rejoins the party on the edge of the quarry. What lies at the base? And could this be the home of the mad vandal? After the vandal is apprehended and brought back to the barracks, our players learn that there are many more sigils around the city. A frustrating interrogation filled with ominous warnings and high pitched laughter leads the city guard to an important witness, Bim. Bim informs the guard that he had seen this man on two separate occasion dwelling deep within the woods outside Telemorah. Bim informs the city guard that he had followed this man to what would presumably be his home, an abandoned quarry hours outside of the city wall. The city guards of Telemorah stumble upon some vandalism on the Baron's house- a sigil surrounded by runes with a single oak leaf drawn in the center exudes an ominous warning. When Blaine tries to remove it, the magic is deflected and the sigil is preserved. Its at this moment that our players respond to terrified shouts and the scattering of cityfolk as a Naked man donning a mossy and lichen vest inscribes more sigils on the library steps. Welcome to the city of Telemorah. A bustling and developing locale where wooden cranes, glass and towering stone high-rises replace the once thriving forests and rivers. Luyu and Korlin get a closer look at a camp riddled with abuse and trauma- tielfings held captive in the desert with no realistic means of escape. Eve and Smandra discover a mass grave containing the bodies of most of Mubem's hunters as well as a disfigured tiefling child desperately in need of liberation. The realization dawns on our adventurer's that Dregadorah and his men attacked and killed the hunters while entrapping innocent women and children deep within the vast desert. With nothing left to lose- Eve, Smandra and Turt unleash a surprise attack in hopes of saving as many innocent lives as possible and reuniting with Korlin and Luyu for one final heroic act.Support the show
Thousands of feet apart, Luyu utilizes her innate Tielfing abilities to project her voice across the sandy horizon to communicate with the camp. Our adventurers soon realize that the inhabitants of the camp possess the same ability. After hours of negotiating, an agreement is set. Bring Dorin halfway through the sandy plain with two members from each party.
