David Hockney is remembered for swimming pools, sunlight, and some of the most recognizable images in modern art. Less often discussed is how deeply his work was shaped by the politics of the naked body. From underground physique magazines to gallery walls around the world, Hockney helped move unclothed bodies out of the shadows and into public view, treating them not as scandalous subjects but as part of everyday life.More at www dot planetnude dot co. A split within Toronto's naked cycling community has produced two rides, two visions, and a debate that echoes far beyond a single afternoon on city streets. At its center is a question many social movements eventually face: when a space is meant to belong to everyone, who is responsible for making sure everyone feels welcome there?More at www dot planetnude dot co. The British government is pushing Apple and Google to create device-level systems that would block nude images on children's phones by default. While framed as a response to grooming and exploitation, the proposal raises broader questions about how technology defines nudity, whether software can meaningfully distinguish context, and what it means when the human body itself becomes the target of automated detection.More at www dot planetnude dot co. Many agency owners proudly hold the pitchfork of independence, but if your firm isn't growing, you are literally losing wealth every single year. The days of treating an agency like a personal lifestyle business while expecting a massive private equity payout are coming to an end.My guest, James Graham, Managing Director at Marsh Berry, joins me to give a "State of the Union" on the M&A landscape in the insurance industry. We break down why the M&A market has shifted from an era of "free money" to highly disciplined buying, why acquirers are intensely scrutinizing Quality of Growth (QofG) and EBITDA margins, and why the drop in public broker organic growth is a massive wake-up call for independent shops. We also discuss the biggest deal-killers in the 11th hour and why the most successful founders have mastered the art of delayed gratification. If you are an agency principal trying to decide whether to scale, partner, or sell, this episode provides the exact roadmap buyers are looking for in 2026.▶▶ Sign Up For Your Free Discovery Callcompletegameu.com/agaTimestamped Outline(00:00) Introducing James Graham(03:17) Why Do Agencies Sell? From his days as an Airborne Ranger and Infantry Sergeant Major to earning two Bronze Stars, the Legion of Merit, and the Order of Saint Maurice, EJ's story embodies grit, leadership, and an unbreakable will. After retiring from the military, EJ became a breakout star on Discovery's Naked and Afraid, surviving six brutal challenges with a combined 206 days in the wild — and zero taps, even after a near‑fatal injury. He's since hosted Dual Survival, appeared in 72 Hours, Mountain Masters, First Man Out, and more, proving that his “lead from the front” mindset transcends the battlefield.EJ now runs Skullcrusher Outdoors, co‑owns ventures like Armed Forces Brewing Company, Freedom Pickles, and Hard Working Sauce Co., and continues to give back through veteran outreach, suicide prevention, and disaster relief. His mission: live with intensity, passion, and purpose — and never quit.

Naked, clutching the telephone receiver, and with a stomach full of prescription meds, Marilyn Monroe was pronounced dead at 4:25am on the 5th of August 1962. Today, a century after her birth, the iconic “blonde bombshell” is still one of the most famous people who has ever lived. She epitomised Hollywood: the fame, the fortune, and the chaos. Rumours placed her in bed with two Kennedys – and under surveillance from the FBI and CIA. In this episode, we speak with Andrew Jensen, founder and director of Fox Jensen, one of Australia's leading contemporary art galleries and Fox Jensen Mccrory, alongside Emma Fox and Sarah Mccrory. Andrew discusses the evolution of the gallery, from its beginnings to its current presence in both Sydney and New Zealand. We explore the changing landscape of contemporary art, what makes a successful artist gallery relationship, and how a commercial gallery balances artistic vision with the realities of the art market. The conversation also touches on collecting, the international art scene, the enduring significance of painting, and the role galleries play in supporting artists throughout their careers. Andrew shares insights from decades of experience working closely with established and emerging artists, offering a candid look at the challenges and opportunities facing contemporary art today.Whether you're an artist, collector, curator, or simply interested in contemporary culture, this episode provides a thoughtful perspective on the business, passion and commitment behind running a leading gallery.'Andrew Jensen opened the gallery in New Zealand in 1988 and over the course of more than thirty-five years it has set itself aside in terms of its seamless presentation of international work alongside the most considered practices from the region. In early 2011 the gallery expanded to Australia opening a second gallery in Sydney.Multiple exhibitions by major artists such as Imi Knoebel, Fred Sandback, Tony Oursler, Helmut Federle, Günter Umberg, Winston Roeth, Lawrence Carroll, Elisabeth Vary and Callum Innes altered and enriched the local conditions. These exhibitions continued to provide the basis for an increasingly expansive approach that has seen the curated aspect of the gallery grow. There have been numerous notable projects over the last decade or more including E=MC2, Naked, The Architecture of Colour, Six Degrees of Separation, Points of Orientation, Detox, Melancholia, The Authority of Death, Farben, Saturation, There's Joy in Repetition, Portrait without a Face, Eros, Permafrost and more recently Raven, Plastic Soul, Terrain, No One's Rose & Rain. The galleries' programs have developed a welcome richness and energy with the inclusion of a newer generation of international artists including Jan Albers, Mark Francis, Hanns Kunitzberger, Sofie Muller, Erin Lawlor, Liat Yossifor, Koen Delaere, Jane Bustin and Gideon Rubin. Alongside this, artists from the region include Aida Tomescu, Tomislav Nikolic, Matthew Allen, Geoff Thornley, Robert Malherbe, Jenny Topfer, Todd Hunter and Gary McMillan. The galleries are also privileged to hold the Estate of Bill & Pip Culbert. With the opening of the major new gallery space in Sydney in late 2025 the galleries have both expanded and consolidated its program. In 2026 the galleries are presenting works by celebrated artists Ian Davenport (UK), Paul Czerlitzki (POL), Ingo Meller (GER), Ulrike Schulze (GER), Gerold Millar (GER) and Lucienne O'Mara (UK). Fox Jensen, Sydney and Fox Jensen McCrory, Auckland are run in close partnership with its artists by Andrew Jensen, Emma Fox and Sarah McCrory. Before she became a successful TV writer and meditation teacher, Laura House was getting drunk on a barely floating houseboat filled with naked Texans, animal-print speedos and enough beer to sink the thing entirely. In this Thursday Throwback from Anna's original Recover Girl podcast, Laura tells the unbelievable true story of a Fourth of July weekend spent partying on “Naked Island,” a floating hillbilly paradise created by one of her most gloriously chaotic friends. The story involves houseboat debauchery, accidental nudity, Texas-sized drinking and eventually…court.Laura is one of the funniest people alive and this episode is a perfect reminder of why these old Recover Girl stories deserved a second life.
