As life become busier and busier with the start of the new year, TingTing and KaKa began to question: Does work-life balance actually exist? How to effectively prevent burnout? Do we have to work 24/7 , 996 (9am to 9pm, 6 days per week) to be successful? To answer these questions, we bravely invited 2 friends from our professional world to explore this topic. === Introducing our guest === Alanna La Cioppa Alanna and Tingting clicked through laughters and being almost "absurdly" happy in the office. As Tingting embarks on her creator journey full-time and Kaka strives to grow her side jewelry business, we became curious about: How do business owners/entrepreneurs work? What are the challenges? Is there really more money and freedom when you "work for yourself"? And what is better -- working for others or working for yourself? To answer these questions, we invited 2 friends who are business owners. === Introducing our guest === Issa He Issa is a return guest from Season 1 Episode 3 and she was KaKa's teacher in interpretation. Despite living miles away from our birth country -- China, we are curious about: What is the biggest difference between working in China and working in other countries( Australia, USA and Canada etc)? What do we need to know about the people and work culture if we want to work in China? How about the salary difference and lifestyle changes? To answer these questions, we invited 2 friends who've experienced both sides but made different choices. === Introducing our guest === Ge Qu Having lived in China, the USA and Canada, Ge (pronounced as gəː) is a deep thinker and explorer. On the first day of secondary school in China, Tingting sneakily stood next to Ge as she ranked number 1 in the entrance exam. Luckily the friendship matured beyond grade and status in the next 10 years, during which Tingting moved to Australia and Ge completed university in China then pursued further study at the University of Pennsylvania. Ge is now working in China and faces the unique challenge of a 'haigui' or 海龟 (sea turtle) meaning “return from abroad.” Wendy Bai Wendy Bai is a good friend and trusty advisor of KaKa. They get to know each other through work and then the friendship grew rapidly from all the common value and interests. Wendy has a very impressive resume in both China and Australia. She graduated from one of the elite universities in China. Subsequently, she went to work for some of the most iconic global companies. In early 2010, she left her comfort zone and built her own tech start-up. About 6 years ago, she made another courage move to bring her family, career and dream to Australia. ===Join Us=== We would like to invite you to join the growth journey with a lot of fun, laughter, and deep conversations.
