The comments came as part of a wider debate being held at the New Zealand Economic Forum at Waikato University this week. Treasury has previously signaled that it's on track to become unaffordable unless the retirement age rises to around 72. But would any Government be up to changing the official retirement age? Pues no te preocupes, porque hoy vamos a viajar a los años 80 para descubrir qué fue este movimiento, por qué cambió la historia cultural de España y cómo se vivía en una época donde todo parecía posible. Prepárate, porque vamos a hablar de música, cine, arte, libertad… y también de excesos. Contexto histórico: ¿Por qué surge la Movida? Para entender la Movida, tenemos que situarnos a finales de los años 70. El dictador Franco había muerto en 1975 y España estaba viviendo la transición democrática. Después de casi 40 años de dictadura, la sociedad tenía ganas de libertad, de expresarse sin miedo, de romper con todo lo anterior. Y Madrid se convirtió en el epicentro de esta explosión cultural. Era una ciudad gris que, de repente, se llenó de color, de música y de provocación. ¿Te imaginas pasar de la censura total a una libertad casi sin límites en solo unos años? Eso fue la Movida. FRAGMENTO ALMODÓVAR ¿Qué era la Movida madrileña? La Movida no fue solo música. Se manifestó en la moda, el cine, la fotografía, el cómic y la televisión. Los bares se convirtieron en templos de la noche, y surgió la frase “Madrid nunca duerme”, que se hizo realidad. Era un movimiento que celebraba la diversidad, la provocación y el exceso. Si hoy ves una película de Pedro Almodóvar de los 80, con colores fuertes, personajes extravagantes y diálogos irreverentes, estás viendo la esencia de la Movida. Una de esas películas fue “Pepi, Luci, Bom y otras chicas del montón”. Decimos que una persona es del montón cuando no destaca en nada, cuando es una persona normal. Y la propia Carmen Maura participó en esa película que representa muy bien lo que fue la Movida. FRAGMENTO DE LA PELÍCULA Los protagonistas y artistas más importantes Entre los nombres clave está Alaska, icono del movimiento y líder de grupos como Kaka de Luxe y Alaska y los Pegamoides. Pedro Almodóvar llevó al cine la estética transgresora de la Movida, y junto a él, Carmen Maura se convirtió en su actriz preferida. En la música, grupos como Radio Futura, Los Secretos, Nacha Pop y Parálisis Permanente mezclaron punk, pop y new wave con letras provocadoras. En las artes visuales, fotógrafos como Alberto García-Alix y artistas como Ouka Leele capturaron la intensidad de aquellos años. ¿Conocías alguno de estos nombres? CANCIÓN DE LA MOVIDA La cara oscura La Movida también tuvo su lado oscuro. El consumo de drogas como heroína, cocaína y anfetaminas se convirtió en parte del paisaje nocturno. Para muchos, era sinónimo de libertad y experimentación, pero también trajo consecuencias graves: adicciones, enfermedades y muertes prematuras. FRAGMENTO DOCUMENTAL DROGAS Así que, la Movida madrileña fue mucho más que una moda: fue una explosión de creatividad que cambió la historia cultural de España.
