How to get more, do more, and be more by Wanting Less
The Wanting Less Podcast is one part of a platform designed to encourage and teach us all how to start fresh, focus our efforts, and follow through on that which we want most. In this episode, I speak with Reshma Bhojwani, a money wisdom coach and author of “Pandemic Budgeting & Finances: How to Use Piggy Banks and Stop Counting Sheep” available on Amazon.Reshma’s book tells her story of experiencing mental abuse by her first husband of an arranged marriage, then experiencing what she came to learn was financial abuse by her second husband.Because of what she went through, she formulated a system, a methodology for women going through the same thing. Thanks to her book, her clients can: 1) Plan for the future, 2) Establish a financial foundation to be independent, and 3) Grow wealth for years to come.I love Reshma’s story of heartbreak, starting over, and rebuilding her own legacy.Where to Find Reshma:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/reshma.bhojwani.376/Instagram: @flourishbizcenterLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/reshma-bhojwani-1ba5811a3/Book: https://www.amazon.com/Pandemic-Budgeting-Finances-Piggy-Counting-ebook/dp/B08KHQ7YL6/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=reshma+bhojwani&qid=1606309825&sr=8-1Email: reshmabhojwani1@gmail.comWebsite: flourishbizcenter.com My Website:WantingLess.org Join the Facebook Community: https://www.facebook.com/groups/183178326225122Follow me on Instagram: @WantingLessPodcastEmail me about episode thoughts or ideas at wantinglesspodcast@gmail.com Music featured on the show:"Closer Together" & SENTINEL (Original Mix)By: Nicholas Alexandur

This is a special ELECTION DAY episode - My guest today is Dan Munro of Brojo.org. He is an Australian born author, coach, and student of Stoicism. Over the years, Dan has helped countless clients live a more fulfilling life by tapping into their own integrity and promoting radical honesty within themselves. This episode was recorded the morning of November 3rd, the day of the 2020 Presidential election, and by design, my plan was to capture some raw thoughts about what to do with the chaos in front of us. What if Biden wins? What about Trump? How does America compare to other countries regarding race, hospitality, kindness, and media consumption? In the midst of it all, regardless of what happens, we want to answer these questions: What are we responsible for? And what is worth spending our time thinking about? Keep an open mind and remember that this is coming from two guys with their own unique Perspective on the world. I don’t know if you’ll agree or you’ll disagree, but if you seek it, you will grow a little from this conversation. Enjoy You can email Dan at dan@brojo.org or visit his website at brojo.orgAnd don't forget! His Amazon Book page can be found at https://www.amazon.com/Daniel-Munro/e/B01GIT9ZKM%3Fref=dbs_a_mng_rwt_scns_share His new book "The Naked Truth: Using Shameless Honesty to Enhance Your Confidence, Connections and Integrity" is available for preorder now!
Everyone, by default, is unique. Few embrace and grow it. Just a quick reminder of what you already know. wantingless.org
Episode Overview:In this episode, I speak with Author, Coach, and Podcaster Dan Munro. Dan is an expert in Integrity Coaching – meaning that he teaches his clients to embrace incredible honesty with one’s self as a means to achieve a more fulfilling life. Dan grew up as a people pleaser, the funny guy striking out with women everywhere he went. When that didn’t bring him joy, he became a wildly successful pick-up artist (Yes, that’s a thing) where he could practically convince any woman he wanted to go out with him. Two different personalities; both dishonest versions of his true self. Listen in to hear how Dan find his way to finding peace and purpose through radical integrity. If you've ever felt like you've had to fake it to be accepted, you will find strength from this episode. That’s a Teddy Woolsey guarantee. Episode Overview:If you’ve had a lot to overcome in life, you might resonate well with this guest: In this episode, I speak with the OG Ted Woolsey, my father. He tells the story of growing up in rural Missouri, fighting through sickness, poverty, abuse, illiteracy, and alcoholism. After years of hopelessness, he found faith, love, family and purpose. I grew up hearing these stories in fragments, but today I was able to listen and learn in a new way. This was an emotional episode, especially towards the end. Today, he’s a successful Entrepreneur of an online Fitness and Supplement company – earning well over six figures. In this episode, Joe tells the story of how he went from getting fired, to moving across the country, working 16-hour days, and even a phone call between him and me from the desk in the bedroom of his mother-in-law’s 600 sq. foot home where he was living…to where he is today. With the Stimulus Check/CARES Act/SBA Loan Changes, etc. coming in...I talk less about WHAT to use your government check for and more about HOW to think about it. Hey there all you cool cats and kittens ~ In this episode, I speak with a funny, driven and very intentional comedy writer named Christian Santiago out of New York. Additionally, he is 1/3 of the Neapolitan Ice Cream Podcast. I reached out to him via Instagram when I saw just how seriously he took his brand, his platform, and his passion. Christian and I discuss his lofty goals, the struggle of (and importance to) narrowing his focus, and how he just wants to forge his own path. It is people like him who push me even more to get after my dreams. We can all relate to his story, and we hope that this conversation moves you closer towards your own path, not the one that someone else chose for you. For the original Blog Post and detailed explanation, visit: WantingLess.org/BoredAsHealthThe #BoredAsHealth Project/Challenge was born out of the realization that, during the Coronavirus Pandemic and being "Stuck at Home", we have been given the gift of MORE TIME during our day. Oddly enough, what has come of that extra time is a wave of new complaints of BOREDOM. Well, what if we now use that extra time we all wanted (and now have) to exercise and prepare healthier meals? The challenge is to create a reasonable, sustainable set of habits that will help us 1) Look better, 2) Feel better, and most importantly 3) Protect us from the next virus to attack our immune/overall health systems. After all, experts say that maintaining or achieving a healthy weight is possibly the most important thing we can do to live an overall healthy lifestyle. The positive effects can hardly be counted. So here we are, turning tragedy and boredom into health and a higher quality of life.If you're annoyed with me for creating a challenge during an opportunity to be lazy and complain, #SorryImNotSorry Let's move together. There is something beautiful about tapping into the suffering of discipline. It teaches us to embrace the inevitable pain that is required to come out on top. After all, we can't feel pride without first overcoming something holding us back. If there is one thing I hope you glean from this episode, it is that when we LOOK at reality for what it is rather than what we want it to be, we begin to know peace. And then, when we ACT intentionally on that reality rather than what we want that reality to be, we begin to conquer.Endure through the pain that you know brings prosperity. Do you realize just how much money you will earn over the course of your life? Have you ever sat down to calculate it? Even conservative numbers? What could you buy? What could you invest? What could you do? Better question: Where does it all go? PEOPLE! I am not special. I am not smarter than you. I just pay attention to what happy, wealthy, fulfilled people do...and then I do what they do...then I tell you. Man was this fun to record. My good friend James Moore and I sat down to talk, during which we consumed several adult beverages and discussed what got him into his growing comedy career, what he has had to give up along the way, and what continues to drive him. You'll laugh with us from beginning to end, but the conversation also takes turns to more serious topics that I am still thinking about since the night we spoke, including a little known fact about my personality that left James completely surprised. Stay tuned for Part 2 of our conversation coming out soon!!! Technology is supposed to make things more convenient so we can re-invest that time back into the things that GIVE us life - Reading a good book, exercising, spending time with loved ones, engaging in a hobby, etc. It feels, however, like we just take that time saved and spend more time in technology. Don't get me wrong, memes are God's gift to mankind, but they don't make us better friends, partners, co-workers, family members, individuals. They make us laugh for 2 seconds, and we scroll to find the next one that gives us the same effect. This episode is simply about the importance of choosing what truth we want to be apart of...then spending time with it in order to become one with it. We drive ourselves crazy because we're supposed to care more, no...be content and mindful....no...never be satisfied...wait, no, be happy and forgive yourself.......Well maybe, just maybe...it's about both. Maybe it's about getting really good at taking ALL of our capacity to care and love and do and....just be, and apply all of it to ONLY that which is going to build something we can be proud of. But what do I know? I'm just a guy who managed to be happy. Music featured on the show:"Closer Together"By: Nicholas Alexandur"Thin Ice"By: Nicholas Alexandur - featuring Kelsey Veillette
Part 2 of 2 - James, Holland, and I finish our discussion with a conversation on what we've learned while working in Sales as well as how it ties into the "Wanting Less" way of thinking. The episode starts a little weird...by us ordering a pizza and sipping some more on our adult beverages. You'll have a laugh or two for sure, but you also might find that there are a few points that hit home to you. If you find this enjoyable and/or helpful, please tell others about it. And stay tuned for my next episode on getting more by "Caring Less". Music featured on the show:"Closer Together"By: Nicholas Alexandur"Thin Ice"By: Nicholas Alexandur - featuring Kelsey Veillette
Part 1 of 2 - Friends of mine, James and Holland, join me to discuss our three perspectives on personal finance, investing, and wanting fewer..."objects"...as James puts it, in order to achieve a lifetime of freedom before most people have grandchildren. We're just normal guys who stumbled into extraordinary knowledge. Oh, and wait until you hear what Holland does to save a buck or two on his out of town trips. It's no surprise to anyone I've spoken with in the past 6 months or so that I am a zealot for financial wellness. This episode tells you why. It isn't just about the fact that I was forced to make a change, it was that the change made sense...and it was something that transformed my perspective on how I view money, wealth, and budgeting for life in general. This is my WHY just as much as it is my HOW. I learned that I can eventually have more, do more, and be more in the future, by wanting less today. Don't worry, Dr. B is not a stuffy intellectual, even in spite of all that she knows. We had a great dialogue that left me laughing, thinking, and fired up about what's next for me.
