We have finally come upon this historic moment, the fighting for the life of the last of the Western nations. The shaping of a new Republican Party concedes the war in favor of protectionism and populism over biblical principle. We take a look at the history of the Republican Party, and the moment of decision come to at the 2024 convention. This program includes: 1. The World View in 5 Minutes with Adam McManus (Biden withdraws and endorses Kamala Harris, Trump: “How did somebody get on that roof?”, Nigerian Fulani Muslims killed 12 Christians) 2. Generations with Kevin Swanson
It's Monday, July 22nd, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Nigerian Fulani Muslims killed 12 Christians Tragedy struck in Nigeria on Sunday, July 14th as Fulani Muslim terrorists continued their reign of terror in a Christian community in the Benue State, murdering 12 people and wounding another 11, reports TruthNigeria.com. Andy Itodo, an eyewitness, said, “The terrorists, up to 20 in number, appeared from the forests of Egwuma on motorbikes, wielding automatic rifles, and started shooting indiscriminately. The carnage lasted for over 1 hour and 30 minutes. He added, “The worst part was that we were in our churches when the terrorists attacked us. We were not prepared.” Gideon Ehoda, another eyewitness, said, “They showed no mercy as they gunned down seven of our youths before they retreated to the bush.” Mary Otache, a 36-year-old eyewitness, said, “Even as they were shooting into the churches and people were running away, they were chanting Allahu Akbar and speaking in Fulani.” Augustus Adaji, age 28, said, “When they thought they had gotten the upper hand, we shot at them, and I know that I personally hit two of the terrorists. My colleagues shot many. Initially, they tried to resist us, but they broke up, and some fled on foot, leaving their bikes and guns.” Please pray that Amos 5:24 would come true in Nigeria. “Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.” According to Open Doors, Nigeria is the sixth most dangerous country worldwide in which to live for Christians. Biden withdraws and endorses Kamala Harris After nearly 31 House Democrats and five Democratic senators publicly called on President Joe Biden to withdraw from the presidential race, he withdrew on Sunday. In an open letter addressed to “My Fellow Americans,” he wrote, “While it has been my intention to seek re-election, I believe it is in the best interest of the party and my country to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.” In a subsequent post, President Biden wrote, “Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala [Harris] to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it's time to come together and beat Trump. Let's do this.” Democrat senator cried over Biden's withdrawal Appearing on CBS News, Democratic Senator Chris Coons of Delaware – the co-chair of the Biden for President campaign, cried about Biden's withdrawal from the presidential race. COONS: “Joe Biden is grounded. He's grounded in his faith, in his family, and in our state. (Coons gets choked up and pauses) Excuse me. I'm sorry. This was a very difficult decision. And one that I think reflects the very best of who Joe Biden is. Someone who, as you put it Bob, comes home -- comes home because it's where his strength is. His strength is in his family. His strength is in our community. His strength is in his faith.” Democrat elite pushed Biden out Appearing with talk show host Charlie Kirk on Sunday, "Just The News" founder John Solomon took issue with how the Democrat elite powerbrokers ran roughshod over the 14.5 million Democrat primary voters who selected Joe Biden to be the party's presidential nominee. SOLOMON: “We're back to the days of Tammany Hall. The Democrats no longer regard the 14.5 million people that voted for Joe Biden -- the power brokers, the Barack Obamas and the Nancy Pelosis and Chuck Schumers. They've decided who's going to be their nominee by forcing Joe Biden out. That is not going to play well in a party that often claims that ‘democracy' is being ruined. Well, they may have just contributed to that.” Kamala Harris funded bail for BLM rioters, a failure as Border Czar Solomon responded to the coronation of Vice President Kamala Harris as the replacement presidential nominee, saying she is further left politically than Biden. SOLOMON: “As for Kamala Harris, if she is the ‘Anointed One,' because it saves them $200 million in the bank that they don't have to fundraise, there is a lot of research that the American people need to become familiar with, with Kamala Harris. “What she did in California, the fact that her [Political Action Committee] bailed out [Black Lives Matter] rioters from prison in jail, the fact that she had only one job in the Biden administration to secure the border, and she failed miserably at that. It's going to be very easy to link Kamala Harris to all of the deaths, all of the mayhem, all of the frustration that Americans have with the border because that was her one job that Joe Biden gave her. “And Biden endorsed her today quickly, because he knew that there is not unanimity in the party for her being the nominee. So, he tried to force that unanimity with his endorsement.” Trump campaign released anti-Kamala Harris ad The Trump campaign released this anti-Kamala Harris ad. NARRATOR: “Kamala was in on it. She covered up Joe's obvious mental decline.” HARRIS: “Our president is in good shape, in good health, tireless, vibrant, and I have no doubt about the strength. of the work that we have done.” NARRATOR: “But Kamala knew Joe couldn't do the job. So, she did it. Look what she got done: a border invasion, runaway inflation, the American Dream dead. They created this mess. They know Kamala owns this failed record." Trump: “How did somebody get on that roof?” In their first joint interview, Donald Trump and his VP pick, Senator J.D. Vance of Ohio, talked to FOX News host Jesse Watters about the security breach that led to the assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania. WATERS: “They were monitoring this guy for an hour beforehand.” TRUMP: “Yeah.” WATTERS: “No one told you not to take the stage?” TRUMP: “No, nobody mentioned it. Nobody said there was a problem. I would have waited for 15 [minutes]. They could have said, ‘Let's wait for 15 minutes, 20 minutes, 5 minutes, something. I think that was a mistake. “How did somebody get on that roof? And why wasn't he reported? Because people saw that he was on the roof. I mean you had Trumpers screaming, the woman in the red shirt, she was screaming, ‘There's a man on the roof!' And then other people, ‘There's is a man on the roof who's got a gun!' And that was quite a bit before I walked onto the stage. So, you would have thought somebody would have done something about it.” Pro-abort Democrat Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee died Democrat Representative Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas, has died at the age of 74 after a battle with pancreatic cancer, reports NBC News. Born in Queens, New York, she first won election to Congress from Houston, Texas in 1995. She was known for her rabid support of abortion. Most recently, Congresswoman Lee: opposed the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act to protect babies who are born alive after a botched abortion. opposed Rep. Chip Roy's amendment that prohibited Department of Defense funding for soldiers to travel to get an abortion. and opposed a resolution that condemned the violent attacks on pro-life groups. The life of the late Congresswoman Lee embodied Isaiah 59:7. It says, “Their feet rush into sin; they are swift to shed innocent blood. They pursue evil schemes; acts of violence mark their ways.” Global computer systems outage caused chaos here in America And finally, services from airlines to healthcare, shipping and finance were coming back online on Friday after a mistake in a security software update sparked hours-long global computer systems outages, reports Reuters. The incident highlighted the vulnerability of the world's interconnected technologies. More than 2,200 flights were canceled across the U.S., with nearly 7,000 delayed, as of 1:23 pm ET on Friday, according to data tracker FlightAware. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 377 points, the S&P 500 lost 39 points, and the Nasdaq Composite lost 144 points. George Kurtz, the founder and CEO of the cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike, explained on NBC's "Today Show" how their company took down millions of computers --including air travel, banks, and more -- around the world with a single faulty software update. KURTZ: “The system was sent an update. That update had a software bug in it and caused an issue with the Microsoft operating system.” Businesses face questions about how to avoid future blackouts triggered by technology meant to safeguard their systems. Taking a page out of the Trump How to Steal an Election handbook, Congressman Bob Good, of Virginia, is going to try to stop the certification of votes in his district's largest city. Good, who is also the chair of the House Freedom Caucus says he has a lack of confidence in the election results. Good is behind by 344 votes and is blaming RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) for backing his opponent. He's not the only candidate that is pulling a play from the Trump book. Arizona's Kari Lake also refused to believe that she lost. It's Monday, May 27th, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus American missionary couple killed in Haiti Last Thursday, two American Christian missionaries were killed by gang violence in Haiti, reports Fox News. In one Facebook post, Missions In Haiti documented that Davy and Natalie Lloyd, full-time missionaries to Haiti, “were ambushed by a gang of three trucks full of guys. Davy was taken to the house tied up and beat.” Tragically, they were shot and killed at 9:00 p.m. Natalie was the daughter of Missouri State Rep. Ben Baker who said, "My heart is broken in a thousand pieces. I've never felt this kind of pain. They went to Heaven together. Please pray for my family. We desperately need strength." Former President Donald Trump said, "Such a tragedy. Haiti is totally out of control. Find the killers NOW!!!" Haiti, an island nation plagued by poverty, natural disasters, and corruption, has plunged into further turmoil since February 29, when gangs launched coordinated attacks, burned police stations, opened fire on the main international airport, and stormed Haiti's two biggest prisons, releasing more than 4,000 inmates. Plus, the country's largest seaport remains paralyzed as food and medication dwindle. At least 1.4 million Haitians are on the verge of famine. Trump holds Bronx rally, endorsed by black Puerto Rican politician Former President Donald Trump did something unusual. Last Thursday, he held a campaign rally in The Bronx, a Democratic borough of New York City where 85% of residents are black or Hispanic. TRUMP: “Hello New York City! And hello to all of the incredible, tough, strong, hardworking, American patriots right here in The Bronx. (cheers) Who would think? Who would think?” Although Trump has been leading President Joe Biden in polls of battleground states, Biden has been outdistancing Trump by at least 9% in New York, reports The Epoch Times. New York's voter registrations are lopsided in favor of Democrats. Statewide, Democrats outnumber Republicans 2-to-1. In Bronx County, there are only 43,000 registered Republicans—less than one-tenth the Democrat total of 507,000, according to the New York State Board of Elections. That's why Democrats scoffed online at the significance of Trump's audience in the Bronx. Crowd estimates ranged from 7,000 to more than 20,000. Even in a best-case-scenario, the rally attendance doesn't begin to dent the voter-registration deficit in a state that has 13 million voters. But Trump made his best case on how his presidency financially benefitted all racial groups because of lower taxes, energy independence, and a strong economy. TRUMP: “We had the greatest economy in history. Everybody had the best they've ever had. African-American jobs were the best in history. Asian-American, the best in history. Hispanic, the best in history, women, people with the diploma, people without a diploma. People that went to the great Wharton School of Finance, MIT, Harvard -- they were doing better. And the people that didn't have a high school diploma were having the, everybody was better. There wasn't one group, not one that went down. And it was bringing our country together.” Voter surveys show an increasing number of young, Hispanic, and black voters shifting toward Trump. After Trump's speech, former New York City councilman Rubén Díaz Sr., a Democrat, endorsed him. Listen. DIAZ: “Mr. President, I want to join you in having the Bronx great again. (cheers) Please accept this Democrat, this black Puerto Rican with the kinky hair and the broken English, please accept my endorsement for you as president. Thank you very much.” (cheers) TRUMP: “How nice was that. I didn't expect that, really! That was beautiful!” Senator Graham objects to Justice Alito's “Appeal to Heaven” flag Republican Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina recently lectured Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito for allowing his home to fly an upside-down American flag and the Appeal to Heaven flag dating back to the early stages of the American War for Independence, reports The Blaze. The hornet's nest was stirred up when Obama biographer, Jodi Kantor, wrote an article in the New York Times centering on an American flag that was displayed upside down outside Alito's New Jersey vacation home back in mid-January 2021. Alito said that his wife – Martha-Ann Alito – flew the flag in their yard for a short time "in response to a neighbor's use of objectionable and personally insulting language on yard signs." The New York Times then ran another article highlighting that an "Appeal to Heaven" flag was displayed outside Alito's vacation home in July and September 2023. The paper attempted to frame the flags as having negative connotations because some protesters carried the flags during the January 6th rally in D.C. The Appeal to Heaven flag was commissioned by George Washington, and has been in existence since 1775. The flag was first used by the Massachusetts Navy during the American Revolutionary War. It was among the first flags to symbolize the American colonies' pursuit of independence from the British. The yellow flag features a green pine tree and the phrase "An appeal to Heaven." That quote comes from British political philosopher John Locke. Graham lambasted Alito for flying the flags, saying, "Emotions are apparently high in that neighborhood. It's not good judgment to do that.” But Republican Senator Mike Lee of Utah said, “Martha-Ann Alito has every right to hang whatever flag she wants. In whatever manner she wants. She is a free citizen. And a freedom-loving, American patriot." And House Speaker Mike Johnson also defended Justice Alito. He told CNN last Wednesday, "It's George Washington's flag. It goes back to the founder's era. I've always flown that flag." Johnson features “The Appeal to Heaven” flag outside of his office door. Job 16:19 says, “My Witness is in Heaven; my Advocate is on high.” Golfer Grayson Murray died And finally, two-time PGA Tour winner Grayson Murray died Saturday morning at age 30, one day after he withdrew from the Charles Schwab Cup Challenge at Colonial, reports Fox Sports. There were no immediate details on the circumstances of his death. Murray, who had dealt with alcohol and mental health issues in the past, made a massive turnaround this year and won the Sony Open in January 2024. Previously, Murray made this comment. MUURAY: “My parents have been through hell and back basically for the last six years with me, fighting some mental stuff. It's not easy. I think our society now is getting better about accepting that it's okay to not be okay type deal. I'm not ashamed that I go through depression, anxiety.” PGA golfer Bubba Watson tweeted, "Very sad to hear the news of Grayson Murray's passing today. Life is so fragile.” James 4:14 says, “You do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Monday, May 27th in the year of our Lord 2024. There may be a misconception in the public that the transition from President Donald Trump to President Joe Biden would be a net negative for those with business in the defense sector. However, from President Biden's past statements and recent actions, that's not necessarily the case, and it's more the progressives in the Democratic Party who dominate much of the conversation about Defense budget cuts. In the sixth episode of Insider Insights: 100 Days of Biden, Jayson Wolfgang, litigation partner and managing shareholder of Buchanan Ingersoll and Rooney's Harrisburg, PA office, is joined by Jim Wiltraut, a senior principal in the firm's government relations practice in D.C. In this episode, Jayson and Jim cover: - The White House's likely approach to Defense spending and where there may be cuts to the budget - The biggest differences in approach to Defense between President Biden and former President Trump - How micro aggressions from Russia, China, North Korea change the landscape of defense and where money gets spent - How the steel industry specifically may be impacted by the new administration and its approach to Defense - COVID-19 relief bills and whether they did enough to protect and help those with contracts in the Defense industry For info on Buchanan's capabilities in Federal Government Relations, visit: https://www.bipc.com/government-relations-and-public-policy To read more about Jim Wiltraut, visit: https://www.bipc.com/james-wiltraut To read more about Jayson Wolfgang, visit: https://www.bipc.com/jayson-wolfgang And finally, head to www.BIPC.com to learn more about Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney.

Today's question is about the new executive order issued by President Trump on January 18, 2021. Just before President Trump ended his term, he signed a bunch of executive orders - one of them being Executive Order 13981 on January 18, 2021. Titled "Protecting United States from Certain Unmanned Aircraft Systems", this order places restrictions on the use of drones and drone spare parts manufactured in certain countries. And this order also enforces additional flight restrictions. But, with the blue administration now in charge, is the executive order still valid? Will the Biden team follow up on this executive order or simply scrap it? For all this and much, much more, tune in to our latest show now. Enjoy! Fly Safe! Recently crashed your drone? Apart from China, which other countries shall be impacted by this executive order? With the blue administration taking charge, is this new executive order still valid? Is it really difficult to enforce this new order? Is the new Biden administration likely to be more pro-China compared to the Trump administration? Does this new order apply to Chinese-manufactured spare parts as well? Are there any non-Chinese manufacturer's who can fill DJI's shoes? Considering the massive budget shortfall, is it advisable to replace Chinese drones?

It has not been a good decade for MLP investors. Even with double digit yields, total returns on the sector are at -4% annualized going back to 2010. Alerian’s Stacey Morris believes that’s all about to change as 2021 will see meaningful growth in MLP free-cash-flow and dividends for the first time in years. SS&C ALPS' Paul Baiocchi also joins the conversation and goes under the hood of his firm’s 2 Alerian MLP ETFs, AMLP and ENFR. On this episode of Let's Talk ETFs - the first to focus specifically on MLPs in an ETF wrapper - we cover everything from why companies would choose the master limited partnership structure, the unique and often confusing tax code around MLPs (and how ETFs like AMLP and ENFR manage to largely sidestep it), differences between American and Canadian Partnerships, and how various outcomes in the upcoming Presidential election are likely to affect the broader MLP sector. Show Notes 3:30 - How has the pandemic affected Stacey and Paul's work lives? 8:00 - What makes a company an MLP? What are the benefits of this structure? 10:30 - How are MLPs insulated from price movements in crude oil and natural gas? 14:15 - The outlook for MLPs in 2021 and beyond: Lowering CapEx, increasing FCF 22:00 - Dealing with the tax man: How do you get around issuing K-1s in AMLP? 26:00 - How are holdings selected and maintained for both ENFR and AMLP? 28:30 - Divergent performances: Why has ENFR outperformed AMLP? 34:45 - How much overlap is there between the holdings of these two funds? 37:00 - Biden vs. Trump: How will the outcome of the upcoming presidential election affect energy mid-stream players? Joe and Alex start by teasing another big guest Monday, walking through the messaging on display at the GOP convention (1:00), and discussing which party is doing a better job courting the independents and moderate Republicans that traditionally swing elections. Plus, should Democrats be panicking when we see polls showing Biden trailing Hillary in swing states at the same time in 2016? Then, we take a look at some of the biggest Senate races this fall (10:00), mainly Arizona, North Carolina and Maine. In general, is it possible Democrats could win states that still vote Trump? How do you thread that needle? A listener asks, is there a chance to push for a split-ticket voter (14:10)? Plus specific analysis on Susan Collins' race in Maine (19:10). Finally, what's next? Democrats reportedly have a large lead in mail-in ballot requests and Biden is outspending Trump massively on TV ads. Are these good signs, or in the world of Donald Trump, does nothing matter? (20:00) Lastly, a quick discussion about the protests around the Jacob Blake tragedy, and how the RNC didn't address it at all. In this week's episode of Adventures in Blockchain, Charles Max Wood interviews Eric Berry and Kevin Owocki, discussing open source sustainability using blockchain. Eric Berry is a panelist on Sustain Our Software podcast and runs Codefund. Kevin is the co-founder of Gitcoin. Our guests start by explaining what each of their companies does and how they help sustain open source. Kevin explains that Gitcoin is a place you can get coin if you are a software engineer working in open source. Their mission is to support open source software. Kevin discusses how blockchain creates new hope for open source sustainability. One project Kevin introduces that helps move them towards their goal is called bounties. Bounties allow engineers to collect cryptocurrency for work they do in opensource. Codefund is an ethical advertising platform that is specifically run to grow and sustain open source. Eric shares how they do this by inviting bloggers, application builders, and other maintainers, to put a small bit of code on their sites that specifically advertise what they are doing. This allows them to receive passive revenue constantly without having to spend time marketing. Gitcoin and Codefund are related, Kevin and Eric share the story of how they started helping one another. When Kevin was building Gitcoin he met Joseph Lubin, co-founder of Ethereum and was invited to join ConsenSys. Using his work with ConsenSys as a stepping stone Gitcoin was able to level up. At this point, Eric reached out to Kevin because he was looking for a way to more easily distribute funds. Next, the panel considers how sustaining open source is made easier through open source. In the blockchain ecosystem, there is a lot more liquidity and a lot less bureaucracy. Kevin explains that when people think of blockchain they only see bitcoin prices and miss all the potential that the blockchain has. There are many problems paying people with “real” currency. For example, credit card companies take fees, transfer money across borders is difficult and worst of all there are knowledge workers that don’t have access to a stable financial system like in parts of Africa. By using the blockchain to pay these great developers can work for western companies and in open source. Eric shares how he uses the blockchain to pay maintainers and advertisers. The inbound advertisers at Codefund are already using eth and dai, which is easily turned around to pay their publishers. Currently, it is not all done on the blockchain, Eric explains what it looks like paying everyone. Codefund's goal is to eventually be completely on the blockchain and to be constantly paying their maintainers. Taxation is something discussed on this weeks Sustain Our Software, Eric brings it up in hopes of hearing Kevin’s take on taxation in the blockchain. Kevin explains that he wrote an EIP or Ethereum improvement proposal, block reward funding for open source maintainers. The blockchain has miners who receive coin for the work they do. Those miners use an algorithm to show proof of work. Open source maintainers do work for the blockchain as well and his proposal says that maintainers should receive coin for what they do for the blockchain. The problem that some have with this idea is that it is hard to prove the software they are writing will directly impact the blockchain or that it even got done. The panel considers ways to prove the value created by maintainers and how paying maintainers show them they are valued. Burn out is a big obstacle for the maintainability of open source. Everyone has responsibilities, to family and other things and its a shame when those doing open source have to quit because they can’t meet those responsibilities. Over the weekend, 41st President George H.W. Bush passed away. What was his impact on the country? Could someone like him be elected in today's current political climate? How different was President H.W. Bush from President Trump? How will George H. W. Bush be remembered?
MEDIA MANIPULATION If you only watched MSNBC or CNN, you would come away believing the worst human being on the planet is Donald J Trump and anyone who voted for him is every bit as bad or worse. Keeping in mind, we are talking about half of the country, you'd have to think are racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, bigots. Half of all Americans. In other words, when Hillary Clinton referred to "half of all Trump supporters in a basket of deplorables", if that resonated with you, you're not tethered to reality and here's why. The same country just elected and re-elected America's first non-white President. Millions of people who voted for Obama, also voted for Trump. When did they become racists? Were they racist when they voted for Obama twice? Did they become racist by voting for Trump? How does that math work? Is the country only post-racial only when it elects a non-white Democrat? Is America doomed to never be post-racial? When non-white Democrats lose elections, is the reason always racism by default? Half of America isn't racist. Nor are half of Trump's supporters racist. The LEFT, which tribalizes the country along lines of race, class and gender, is where this bigotry is primarily sourced. They are the ones balkanizing the country. Not conservatives. Not Republicans. Not independents. Trump is not a militant. Demanding stricter border enforcement is not a militant idea. Expecting the media to treat him better is something he has in common with ALL of his predecessors in office, including the most recent one who was beloved by nearly the entire media. Obama never received the kind of criticism Trump gets all the time. Even when Trump exercises his clearly defined Constitutional duties, Trump is criticized, whereas Obama violated those Constitutional guardrails regularly and the media either whitewashed it or ignored it entirely. Presidents should expect to be criticized. Nothing but criticism is nothing but advocacy. What happens to a person who subjects themselves to a constant barrage of media propaganda designed to assassinate the character of President Trump? What happens when you are told every day that the President of your country: is a tyrant a law unto himself a dictator just like a racist a sexist a homophobe a xenophobe a white supremacist a Nazi. What happens to a person when they are CONSTANTLY told, "You must hate this President in order for you to be a good American." What happens when you are told consistently that you must confront people who differ from you politically? Even physically confront them? What is the proper response of people who are convinced they need to fight a President and his followers who are "just like Hitler and the Nazis"? Because that is the message being sent every day, all day on CNN and MSNBC. When you tell people they may only talk a certain way, and then tell them they may only think a certain way, is it any surprise that those people will also be instructed there is only a certain way to behave. It would have to affect your thinking. Constant repetition of the lie is how you grow to believe it. Isn't that what Joseph Goebbels told Hitler? And didn't Saul Alinsky tell all of his followers to accuse the opponent of the very thing you are doing. That's happening here, too. If you really, truly believed the media agiprop that Trump is a maniacal, traitorous, white supremacist dictator with genocidal impulses ala Adolph Hitler, would an extreme response to that be altogether unwarranted? If all you watched was CNN or MSNBC, you might just pick up an SKS rifle, head to a baseball practice and try to murder 20 Republican Congressmen and their staffs as a Rachel Maddow admirer did named James Hodgkinson. Through their own militancy, CNN and MSNBC have demanded and have gotten the most predictable and logical response to their hyperbolic rhetoric: physical assaults against Trump, his family, administration officials, conservative media figures and their families, as well as the President's supporters. CNN and MSNBC have thus far been reflexively protected from the Trump Administration's harsh reaction to the conduct of CNN and MSNBC's "journalists". It's understandable. The press needs to be independent of government influence and control. But the media bears responsibility, too. When impartiality leads to partisanship, then advocacy and ultimately militant opposition and subversion, we are no longer talking about a news media outlet, but a political organization using the patina of a free and independent press to cloak its biases.
