It's Monday, March 9th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Russian forces destroyed 450 Ukrainian Baptist churches According to a report published earlier this year by Mission Eurasia, a parachurch ministry dedicated to equipping churches in and around Ukraine, Russian forces have damaged or destroyed at least 737 religious buildings since the start of the full-scale invasion in 2022. Of the 737 buildings affected, about 450 were Baptist churches. Baptists, while the largest Evangelical population in Ukraine, represent only 1 percent to 2 percent of the overall population, revealing that Russian forces are deliberately targeting Baptists in their violent campaign across Ukraine. In 1 John 3:13, Jesus said, “Do not be surprised, my brothers and sisters, if the world hates you.” Hegseth says US has ‘iron-clad will' in Iran war War Secretary Pete Hegseth told reporters on Thursday the United States will continue its attacks on Iran for as long as necessary, saying “We are in it to win it!”, reports NewsNation. Listen. HEGSETH: “Iran is hoping that we cannot sustain this, which is a really bad miscalculation. There's no shortage of American will here. “We remember and honor our fallen those six that we will soon Welcome at Dover, who gave everything for their country in this mission. We remember them, but we remember them by rededicating ourselves even more fervently to this mission. “Our commitment to our mission objectives only increases as our advantages continue to increase. We've got no shortage of munitions. Our stockpiles of defensive and offensive weapons allow us to sustain this campaign as long as we need to.” Secretary Hegseth contrasted the focused mission in Iran with other previously politically correct wars. HEGSETH: “The dumb, politically correct wars of the past were the opposite of what we're doing here. They had vague objectives with restrictive, minimalist rules of engagement. No more. Our authorities, through the President and myself, are maxed out. Our will is iron clad. We are built for this fight, and we are in it to win it.” Rep. Donalds holds Governor Walz accountable for Somali fraud On March 4th, Republican Congressman Byron Donalds of Florida asked Democratic Minnesota Governor Tim Walz some tough questions about allegations of fraud tied to the Somali community in Minnesota during a House Oversight Committee hearing, reports ZeroHedge.com. DONALDS: “Was your office notified of these fraud allegations?” WALZ: “Not me.” DONALDS: “Specifically, we have it under sworn testimony in the Oversight Committee that your former chief of staff was notified directly by these various commissioners about the fraud in Minnesota.” WALZ: “Could be correct.” DONALDS: “So, are you saying that your chief of staff didn't notify you?” WALZ: “I'm saying I don't recall whether he did at that time or not, but we took action. So, I'm assuming, when we put our budgets together, based on that, we put a package together for that legislative session.” DONALDS: “Let's talk about budgets, Governor Walz. Feeding Our Future went from $307,000 in 2018 to $199 million in 2021. Are you aware of this increase in budgetary costs from Feeding Our Future?” WALZ: “Not specifically, but I know it increased during the pandemic.” DONALDS: “The Housing Stabilization Services went from $27 million in 2021 to $105 million in 2024. Are you aware of this increase, Governor Walz?” WALZ: “Not specifically, but I know it increased.” DONALDS: “Autism Centers went from $24 million in 2019 to $342 million in 2024. Are you aware of that?” WALZ: “Not specifically again. But yes, we know the budget increased.” DONALDS: “Integrated Community Supports went from $4.6 million in 2021 to $170 million in 2024. Are you aware of that?” WALZ: “Again, not specifically on the numbers, but it's the budget.” DONALDS: “Governor Walz, you have to submit a budget to your legislature every single year, like every governor has to do. If you're not aware of these increases, what was your office doing?” WALZ: “Everyone is balanced. My budget is about $72 billion. It involves 23 agencies.” DONALDS: “Florida's budget is $115 billion, sir. But what were you doing if you're seeing program increases like this amid allegations of fraud in your state?” Shockingly, $9 billion of taxpayer money was stolen in Minnesota which had been intended for marginalized communities. Planned Parenthood offers Botox injections to supplement abortion income There's a new wrinkle in Planned Parenthood's ever-changing post-Dobbs business plan: The abortion giant has begun offering Botox treatments as a much-needed additional source of income, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Planned Parenthood is in desperate need of new revenue streams after President Donald Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill blocked it from receiving federal Medicaid reimbursements. As a result, Planned Parenthood Mar Monte — the group's largest affiliate spanning Northern California and Nevada — has been forced to scramble to plug an estimated $100 million revenue gap, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal. What is unsaid in the Wall Street Journal puff piece is that Planned Parenthood in Northern California and Nevada needs to generate money in new ways in order to subsidize aborting preborn children. Missouri's Personhood bill protects babies from conception Speaking of abortion, Missouri Republican State Senator Mike Moon introduced a resolution which would recognize the personhood of each child in the womb. The bill defines the term "person," under the Missouri state constitution, as including every human being with a unique DNA code regardless of age, including every in utero human child at every stage of biological development from the moment of conception until birth. Whether you live in Missouri or not, call State Senator Moon's office at 573-751-1480 to thank him for sponsoring the Personhood resolution. Legendary pop star Neil Sedaka died And finally, Neil Sedaka, the Juilliard-trained pop music icon who sold millions of records worldwide and wrote or co-wrote over 1,000 songs, died on February 27th at the age of 86. According to Parade, Neil Sedaka's most popular songs include chart-toppers like "Oh! Carol," a 1959 song about his high school sweetheart, Carole King, who is 84 today. “Darling, there will never be another. Cause I love you so. Don't ever leave me. Say you'll never go. I will love you, for my sweetheart No matter what you do. Oh Carol, so in love with you.” “Breakin' Up is Hard to Do” “Comma-comma down, Dooby-doo, down-down Breakin' up is hard to do. Don't take your love away from me. Don't you leave my heart in misery. If you go, then I'll be blue Cause breakin' up is hard to do.” and "Laughter in the Rain." “Strolling along country roads with my baby It starts to rain, it begins to pour. Without an umbrella, we're soaked to the skin. I feel a shiver run up my spine. I feel the warmth of her hand in mine. “Ooh, I hear laughter in the rain, Walking hand in hand with the one I love. Ooh, how I love the rainy days And the happy way I feel inside” In the days following Sedaka's death, streams of his songs jumped by at least 500 percent. For example, there were 514,000 streams of “Laughter in the Rain.” In his 1982 autobiography, Laughter in the Rain, Sedaka remembered himself as “a Jewish mama's boy” – a resounding understatement that did not reflect how completely Eleanor dominated his life until his mid-20s, reports The Guardian. During his first wave of success, between 1958 and 1963, he handed over five-figure royalty checks, which she cashed and kept, allowing him a $1,000 monthly stipend. Later, when Sedaka discovered that his mother, who had appointed herself his manager, had spent most of his money, he fired her and she attempted suicide. Neil married his wife, Leba, in 1962 with whom he had a son and daughter. The fact that their marriage lasted six decades is rare in the entertainment industry. Matthew 19:6 says, “Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.” During the pandemic, Sedaka played 150 mini-concerts on his Facebook page from his home. The script explains why fiber is critical for gut and metabolic health, focusing on how soluble fiber is fermented in the colon to produce short-chain fatty acids (butyrate, propionate, acetate). It contrasts soluble fiber (forms a gel, lowers LDL by binding bile acids, slows glucose absorption, increases satiety, feeds the microbiome) with insoluble fiber (adds stool bulk, helps constipation). It highlights research showing 10 g/day psyllium husk (Metamucil) is linked to a 10% reduction in all-cause mortality and typically lowers LDL about 7–15%. Butyrate is emphasized as the primary fuel for colonocytes, supporting gut barrier integrity and potentially reducing colon cancer risk, while also affecting mitochondria, inflammation, and the brain. Propionate influences liver cholesterol production and satiety hormones, and acetate provides systemic energy. Practical supplementation "stacks," dosing ranges, food sources, GI side effects, and timing cautions (e.g., separating psyllium from minerals) are discussed. In this episode, Doug Larson sits down with Coach Travis Mash and Dr. Mike Lane to challenge the "one-size-fits-all" approach to supplement dosing. They break down why most labels are effectively written for an average-sized person, and why that matters when you're 100 pounds soaking wet, or a 300-pound lineman. Using real stories (like a 450 mg caffeine pre-workout for a small athlete and the classic "I couldn't sleep" aftermath), the crew lays out a simple north star: doses should scale with body weight, and you should take an amount specific to your body size. From there, they get practical on what works, what's overhyped, and how to time things. Dr. Lane explains beta-alanine as an intramuscular buffer (via carnosine) that helps athletes push harder in the anaerobic "pain cave," but only if it's taken consistently for weeks, not as a one-off. They compare that to sodium bicarbonate as a more acute strategy that can help performance but comes with GI risk if you don't practice it ahead of time. Along the way, they call out a common industry trap: under-dosed formulas, proprietary blends, and products that sound impressive but contain amounts too small to matter. They wrap by narrowing down the essentials: creatine as a daily staple for most people (and potentially higher doses for cognitive benefits, especially under sleep deprivation), plus basics like protein and targeted use of supplements based on training demands. The conversation also goes deep on magnesium, why many people are likely low, how it supports relaxation and recovery, and why the form matters (bisglycinate/threonate etc). The big takeaway: match the supplement to the goal, match the dose to the body, and build your plan on quality ingredients, effective amounts and repeatable habits. Supplement Science | Your Personal Guide To StackingCreating a synergistic supplement stack is harder than you think - in this month's podcast episode, Emiel and Erika discuss Nootropics Depot's strategy for creating powerful and effective supplement stacks. Bioassaying is the first step to creating a stack that works for you. In simple terms, this means taking a product on its own for a few days in a row, to observe its effects on your mental and physical state. Once you've gotten familiar with a single ingredient, it's time to add the next product into the mix, which forms the basis of your stack. If this process sounds too time consuming for you, don't sweat it! Nootropics Depot has created a catalogue of excellently formulated stack products (InfiniLyte, Sleep Support, EurycoMax to name a few) which combine botanical ingredients, vitamins and minerals to achieve the ideal balance in a single product. Tune into the podcast episode to learn about Nootropics Depot's secrets of stacking, earned through years of trial, error, and experience!

"Send me a text"Episode Description:Your customer has tried four different supplements for their problem. Every one had a solid mechanism explanation. Every one failed. Now they land on your page, see your mechanism explanation, and think: "This sounds like everything else that didn't work." Hope dies instantly and so does the sale.Hope, one of the four psychological forces that drives supplement purchases, isn't created by explaining mechanisms. Hope is created by explaining why past mechanisms failed and identifying the missing piece that makes this time different. In this episode, we break down why familiar mechanism explanations destroy hope and how to position your supplement as addressing what every other solution missed. You'll learn the difference between explaining your mechanism (which sounds like everything else) and explaining the gap (which creates new possibility). You'll discover:Why "supports relaxation" or "promotes energy" kills sales even when accurateThe two-part Unique Mechanism framework: Why others failed + What was missingHow to identify the gap that creates hope in your specific categoryReal examples of hope-killing vs. hope-creating mechanism explanationsThe missing piece narrative structure that makes customers believe "this time is different"Why this matters more as markets mature and customers have tried more solutionsHow to rewrite your product page to acknowledge past failures before explaining your mechanismIf you have solid science, quality ingredients, and good formulations but your conversion rates are stuck, it's not your product. Picture this: you've got a massive March launch planned, a to-do list longer than your unicorn tail, and then — you fall UP the stairs, your back seizes, your menstrual cycle murders your ADHD meds, and Mercury decides it's doing SOMETHING (retrograding? microwaving? who knows). In this raw, funny, and deeply wise episode, Leonie Dawson shares EVERYTHING that went sideways in one wild pre-launch week — and the surprising toolkit that helped her claw her way back to clarity, momentum, and joy. From beef liver capsules to frankincense smoke bombs, from kinesiology to emergency osteopath appointments, this is what it ACTUALLY looks like behind the curtain of a successful launch.Leonie also gets beautifully honest about the inner growth that launching demands — the fear, the freeze, the false belief that everyone else has it together while you're in chaos. Spoiler: they don't. And she proves it.Topics CoveredWhat really happens behind the scenes of a launch (the chaos no one shows you)How Leonie's Backstage Pass program was born and why 111 people signed up at $111 (!!!)Supplement timing hacks for neurodivergent brains and Metamucil as a supplement hackEnergy clearing practices: altar work, smudging with frankincense, myrrh & dragon's blood resinGrounding practices before and after deep coaching callsKinesiology and energetic support during intense business seasonsTake Action Club + Grow Mastermind: what they are and how Backstage Pass works inside themEven the most polished-looking launch has chaos behind the scenes. You are not an anomaly. Life happens to everyone. Leonie reframes launching as spiritual and personal expansion — you come out the other side a bigger, wider, more capable version of yourself. Launching is a growth process, not just a sales strategy:Pre-launch energy clearing is real work: Altar reset, saining, grounding before coaching calls — these are not woo-woo bonuses, they are essential maintenance for sensitive and creative entrepreneurs. Backstage Pass shows you the REAL launch: Not the highlight reel — the broken guitar strings, the frozen moments, the daily revenue figures, and the real-time problem-solving that gets results anyway. The months Leonie does structured planning are consistently her highest revenue months. Notable Quotes"In every single person's launch, no matter how polished they look on the outside, life happens. What's the worst that could happen if you just start taking a supplement, right? You already don't feel great, so something has to help… right? In this episode, I explain why that mindset often backfires, especially when it comes to hormones. I see this all the time: women taking "hormone balance" supplements, DIM, progesterone support, adrenal formulas, or detox products without testing first. The intention is good, but without knowing what your body actually needs, you can easily make symptoms worse instead of better. In this episode, I break down: Why supplements are not all the same (foundational vs targeted vs phase-specific) How taking the wrong supplement at the wrong time can worsen fatigue, anxiety, PMS, cycle issues, and sleep Why hormones require timing, balance, and sequencing, not random support How cortisol, estrogen, progesterone, and neurotransmitters all interact and why treating one without the others often fails Why DIM is one of the most commonly misused hormone supplements (and how it can actually drive estrogen too low) How adrenal dysfunction can block progesterone support from ever "landing" Why liver detox, gut health, and hormone clearance matter just as much as hormone production Why hormones work on a negative feedback loop and why real change takes longer than 30 days I also explain why we use DUTCH testing to look at the full picture: Hormone production Hormone metabolism and pathways Cortisol rhythm Neurotransmitters Nutrient markers Testing allows us to answer the real questions: Is the issue production, processing, or clearance? Are adrenals driving hormone imbalance? Is your system overstimulated or suppressed? What phase of healing do you actually need right now? This is exactly why I created the Hormone Foundations Program. Inside the program, we: Test first with the DUTCH Complete Build a personalized, phase-based supplement and lifestyle plan Adjust support as your body moves through healing stages Retest to confirm progress (because numbers don't lie) Guide you for a full six months so changes actually stick If you've tried supplements before and felt worse, stalled out, or burned out, this episode is for you. Menopause can feel confusing — but perimenopause can be even more frustrating because so many women are told, "You're fine," while they feel anything but fine. In this episode of Living Life Naturally, Lynne sits down with Denise Stegall — founder of Healthy Living with Denise, international best-selling author of Healthy Living, Happy Life, and widely known as the Menopause Mentor. Denise shares what sparked her own deep dive into perimenopause support after experiencing unexplained symptoms in her late 30s — and why one of the most powerful first steps is also the simplest: track your symptoms. You'll learn how understanding hormone fluctuations can help you communicate more effectively with your provider, advocate for yourself, and make supportive changes without feeling overwhelmed. This conversation also dives into the "midlife musts" Denise teaches women every day — including strength training, mobility and flexibility work, and why bone density and prevention matter so much after menopause. Denise brings a warm, no-nonsense voice to a topic that's often brushed aside — and helps reframe this season as one where you can get clear, get proactive, and feel more like yourself again. In this episode, we cover: Denise's story: symptoms at 37 and what led her into menopause wellness What perimenopause really is (and why it's missed so often) Why a simple symptom list changes your doctor conversations Hormone basics: estrogen, progesterone, cortisol — and how they interact Finding the right support: menopause-informed providers + holistic practitioners Post-menopause prevention: bone density, muscle building, and heart health Why strength + mobility matter so much in midlife Supplement common sense: quality, reputable sourcing, and what to ask first Denise's approach to nutrition, decisions, and personal accountability Free Resource from Denise Stegall: The Nervous System Reset (3-day reset) https://menopausementormn.com/nervous-system-reset Connect with Denise: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/MenopauseMentorMN Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/menopausementormn/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@menopausementormn LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/menopausementormn/ Connect with Lynne: Website: https://holistic-healthandwellness.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/holistichealthandwellnessllc Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/energized.healthy.women Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lynnewadsworth LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/lynnewadsworth If you want a gentle chat about next steps, schedule time with me here: https://calendly.com/lynnewadsworth/30min Free Resources from Lynne: 5 Essential Steps for Flourishing in Menopause: https://holistic-healthandwellness.com/flourish-in-midlife/ Midlife Morning Menu (freebie): https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/8q1mf8y6z9mqhys39ep4r/Midlife-Morning-Menu.pdf Did you enjoy the podcast? In this episode of Sales POP!, supplement industry veteran John Smiddy (New to Marketers) reveals the strategies behind his $100M+ in client revenue. Key takeaways for 2026: AI-first optimization: Structure your product data for AI recommendation engines, not just search engines. Consumers are buying through ChatGPT conversations now. Amazon launch strategy: Start on Amazon to build instant credibility and reviews. Smiddy's data shows conversion rates of 5%+ for new brands- better than most DTC sites. Differentiation is critical: Generic formulations fail. Partner with experts to create proprietary blends backed by clinical validation and third-party testing. "Send me a text"Your subscriber CAC is double what you pay for one-time buyers. People are signing up and canceling before the second shipment even ships. You're offering 30% off recurring orders and conversion rates are still in the basement. Meanwhile, every other DTC brand seems to be printing money with subscriptions. Here's the problem: subscription models that work brilliantly for razors, coffee, and dog food are fundamentally misaligned with how people buy supplements. You're not automating an existing habit. You're asking someone to commit future desire, hope, trust, and belief to a product they haven't even experienced yet.In this episode, I break down why supplement subscription economics are broken for most brands and exactly how to fix them. We'll cover why your subscriber CAC sits at $70-$120+ while one-time buyers cost $45-$55, why retention is so fragile in the first 30 days, and why operational complexity compounds faster than most founders expect. But more importantly, I'll show you how to restructure subscription offers to align with the four buying forces instead of fighting against them. You'll learn the two-step acquisition model that keeps CAC sustainable, the timing strategy that converts buyers after they have proof instead of before, and the narrative framework that positions subscriptions as mechanism continuity protection rather than convenience. This isn't about better discounts or harder-to-cancel flows. It's about understanding that supplements sit between functional and emotional purchases, which means your subscription strategy needs to work with dual-mind psychology, not against it.If you're tired of watching subscription numbers that look good on paper but bleed cash in reality, this episode will show you the supplement-specific approach that actually builds recurring revenue.Learn more about The Supplement Business Accelerator Group at https://creativethirst.com/group If you're interested in working with me and my team to improve your supplement business. Most advisors ignore the post-65 retirees sitting on their clients' health plans. They assume it's just a cost of doing business or that the employer wants to keep them on the same plan as active employees. But by failing to "carve out" this population, you are missing one of the biggest cost-containment strategies available, especially for self-funded groups. My guest, Ken Peterson, Regional Vice President at Benistar, joins me to demystify group retiree medical benefits. Ken explains why municipalities, unions, and family-owned businesses are prime candidates for this strategy, how moving retirees to a Group Medicare Advantage or Supplement plan can drastically lower the average age (and risk) of your active pool, and the specific questions you need to ask to uncover this opportunity. Welcome back to our weekend Cabral HouseCall shows! This is where we answer our community's wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging questions to help people get back on track! Check out today's questions: Will: Hi Dr Cabral, Thank you for giving us the opportunity to ask you questions. I've learned so much from other people's questions! I have two of my own. 1. Regarding your past podcast on the importance of broccoli and garlic. I travel a lot for work. When I travel and can't get broccoli or garlic, would it be ok to take a broccoli and garlic supplement. ? 2. I recently purchased the equililife mushroom supplement. Do you recommend taking it all year round or just in the winter. Thanks so much! Will Carol: Dr Cabral, I would like to start by thanking you for all the information you freely give. I've been listening to your podcast almost since it started and I have been able to make positive changes in my life and my family's. I am a healthy, active 62 year old woman. I walk 5 to 10 miles most days. I do strength training 3 to 5 times a week plus cardio a couple days a week. Through diet and exercise I have been able to maintain my weight most of my adult life. If my weight started to go up I would make adjustments in my diet (which was usually from getting sloppy with my diet). Since 2017 I've done your detox at least 3 times a year (I just haven't been able to swing 4), and they usually help me lose the few pounds I gained and put me back on track with my eating. For the last few years, however, my weight has been creeping up higher and nothing (not even the detoxes) have helped me lose the added weight. I've tried everything I could think of, but my weight continues to go up instead of down. I went through menopause 10 years ago. I'm at a loss at what to do, but I definitely don't want to continue to gain weight. Do you have any thoughts or suggestions? Thank you, Carol Mohamed: Good morning to you Doctor Cabral and all the listeners. Grateful for all that you do. My question is regarding a sort of pinch like feeling on my left side (near heart). On and off randomly.. did blood work and EKG (normal findings). Ran minerals and Metals.. on the higher side for K & N.. Mg green and Calcium (leaning towards high). Other minerals were low, except phosphorus (slightly high) Noticing bloating after meals.. could leaky gut be related to the occasional pinch feeling I get… it's either that or cortisol.. Which lab should I run (can only do 1).. Taking Omega3 support, DNS, Magnesium and exercising twice a week.. I'm a 27 year old man. Noticing new onset fatigue, bloating.. A bit worried about my heart.. thanks.. What can help, proteolytic enzymes, Apple cider Vinegar before meals. Or B vitamins. Thoughts? Cheryl: Morning, My 73 year old dad has type 2 diabetes. He is otherwise in good health, an active golfer, is about 165lbs and walks daily. My parents are old school and believe everything the dr says. Recently, his dr just uped his metformin to 2x a day from 1x and put him on a pill for his A1C. I am annoyed that the meds are just increased instead of looking at the root cause. They recently saw a dietician who said it is not reversable which I know is not at all true. My mom cooks healthy meals but my dad does have a sweet tooth. When he wants something sweet it is often sugar/free which is terrible and full of chemicals. I do not agree with all of the sugar free stuff/sweetners and try go get them to choose different things-monkfruit/coconut sugar but the dietician recommended the splenda type stuff. would love to help my dad reverse this. Any suggestions where to start would be appreciated. Thank you:) Elizabeth: Hi Dr Cabral! Thank you for the amazing work that you do! My 80 year old mother has been experiencing consistent burning mouth syndrome for the past 12 years. She had tried all the conventional methods, gabapentin, CT scan etc and nothing has helped. I recently read that the drop in estrogen during menopause could be the cause. What do you think and any recommendations? Thanks again! Today we're answering a question I get all the time:“Can I count collagen toward my daily protein?”Because if you've ever tried to hit something like 1 gram of protein per pound of desired body weight, you know this:It feels hard at firstIt's unfamiliarAnd people look for shortcutsSo collagen comes up a lot. It's marketed as protein. It's easy to drink. It feels “healthy.”But here's the honest answer:Collagen is not a muscle-building protein. But it is a useful tool—when used correctly.Today we're doing a full collagen masterclass:What collagen is (and isn't)Whether it counts toward protein goalsWhat it's actually good forHow to use it properlyCommon mistakes and misuseAnd how to combine it with a smart protein strategyLet's break it down.Resources:Brain.fm App(First month Free, then 20% off subscription)Discount Code: coachdamiensdCaldera Lab Skin Carewww.calderalab.comDiscount Code: CoachDLinks:IG:@coachdamien_sd@damienrayevans@livinthedream_podcast YouTube:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCS6VuPgtVsdBpDj5oN3YQTgFB:https://www.facebook.com/coachdamienSD/
"Diet culture and wellness culture are incredibly convincing. Every new trend is marketed as the most important thing you need to do for your health."Electrolyte supplements and hydration drinks are everywhere right now, being advertised by everyone from TikTok wellness influencers to major podcast sponsors. But how much of this is actually helpful, and how much is just hype? In this episode, I break down the real science behind electrolytes, explain what sodium and potassium actually do in your body, and cut through the fear-based wellness messaging that keeps people confused and stressed. We'll cover recommendations, controversies, and who might actually benefit from electrolyte supplements. You'll get the context you need to understand the numbers without obsessing over them.✅ What You'll Learn:What sodium and potassium actually do in your body, and why they're so essentialWho might benefit from electrolyte supplements, and who probably doesn't need themWhy the latest wellness trends are so convincing...and often misleadingHow your body naturally regulates electrolytes (and when it needs support)The truth about sodium recommendations, chronic disease, and where potassium fits into the pictureWhy it's possible to prioritize hydration and health without falling for diet culture's fear-mongering✨ Struggling to know when to eat or when to stop isn't a failure… it could be a byproduct of following diet rules instead of your body's cues. Thank you for joining us for our 2nd Cabral HouseCall of the weekend! I'm looking forward to sharing with you some of our community's questions that have come in over the past few weeks… Tricia: Hi Dr Cabral - I'm writing in for my brother. He is a 73-year-old male who has been healthy his entire life. No major illnesses. I noticed a few years ago his head would slightly bob along with his hands. So slight that he doesn't notice. I think he could have a vitamin deficiency. Unfortunately, I can't get him to do any of your labs or detox, but I do have him on your DNS, veggie blend, renewal system, fish oil, eye, magnesium, and Vit d. Do you have any ideas what this might be? If I could get him to test, which test would you recommend? My grandmother did shake Alicja: Hello Dr.Cabral, I hope you're having a great day. My question is about heart rate. I wear smart ring that detects high heart rate during periods of time when I seat a lot and the only activity would be: getting up occasionally from my desk to walk to kitchen or bathroom. I do 10k steps per day, every day and I exercise every other day for 30-50 min alternating between: hot yoga, pilates, jogging and resistance training. Most of my walking and exercising is done in the first half of the day. During walking or exercising my heart rate is pretty steady, not very high, usually below 120 (except for running) but often the highest heart rate of my day I get in the second half of the day when I don't do any physical activity. It doesn't make sense to me. Why would my heart rate jump to 135 when I don't exercise or do any big activity? I'm 42 and I have low blood pressure. (if that matters) Tricia: Hi Dr. Cabral - Do you mind telling me if I'm taking all of your supplements below correctly? Honestly, I would love to work with an IHP but affording all the supplements is all I can do right now. I've been doing this since June of 2025. Upon waking - 2 proteolytic enzymes, 30 minutes later 3 of the sinus and immune support (only during cold season) and daily probiotic. Roughly 2 Hours later right before my morning DNS smoothie (am Metavolve, 2 eye vitamins, 2 cell boost, collagen & D3K2 drops in smoothie). With Lunch 2 hair vitamins and 3 inflamma soothe. Dinner (2 pm Metavolve, 2 fish oil) An hour before bed 2 Full Spectrum Magnesium. I started this protocol to help with lowering inflammation, joint stiffness and pain and it has been a game changer. I exercise daily and eat your Med diet recommendation and literally you gave me my life back so I thank you so very much. My health journey is still a work in progress, but I will get there! I just started Metavolve two months ago. I really like it. I haven't been able to give up all my berries and sweet potatoes but I'm going to try again Jan 1! P.S. I love your new book! Scott: Hello Stephen, happy holidays!! I'm writing in about my mother. She's 69 years old with coronary artery disease. 2 years ago she had 2 separate procedures to remove considerable blockage. Then, this past September, she had it done again. All together 4 stints, 2 in her widow maker. She hasn't drank alcohol in 10 yrs and quit smoking for over 2 years, although her previous lifestyle was lacking in many areas which I'm sure built up to her CAD. There's heart issues within the extended family, but, I know its not just genetics. She has done EXCELLENT zeroing in on her diet after this last round of surgery and she has felt the inflammation in her body pretty much disappear. She still, once in awhile, gets winded, which I can understand her being weary to go too long on the upright bike. She has researched online and food seems really restricted like salt intake, sugar and even really healthy things like Xtra virgin olive oil, which says only 2 tablespoons a day....that seems odd. She's on a certain type blood thinner but her heart doctor gave the okay for omega 3's and was really happy when she read the ingredients on the DNS bottle. I have her on EquiLife supplements since the first surgery; Omega 3's, Vitamin C., Vitamin D3, DNS, B-Complex, Cal-Mag, Balanced Zinc, the new Pea Protein, and collagen from another company (but it's clean) As an IHP level 1 and starting level 2, I'm trying to help her the very best I can. I suggested lime w/ a pinch of sea salt for an electrolyte morning drink but she's too cautious of the salt intake. I'd love for her to try a 21 day detox, she doesn't think she can do all the fasting days except maybe the first 2 days. Even the 14 day detox would be good too, but, would these be too hard on her with her condition, especially when CAD patients are restricted from eating even the healthiest of foods like olive oil? The literature says CAD patients do not have a long time once they have that condition, but, I'm trying to my best to extend her years, she is our family's rock. Thanks for all you do Stephen, you are a mentor sir!!! Sienna: Hi Dr. Cabral - it would be incredible to hear YOUR WHY behind formulating Daily Nutritional Support and the Dr. Cabral Detox, and how this came about? From listening to your podcasts these are strong foundations behind your brand and recommendations. Also, what would you list as the "12-supplements in one"? Thanks for all you do.
