Are you constantly getting questions about services you don't want to provide?  Are you working in a way that follows your clients' rules and not your own?  Why is this happening?  More than likely, you are sending the wrong message to clients.  Crafting an unparalleled experience for your clients means educating them first.  Before you can spoil the heck out of them, they first need to know HOW IT WORKS AROUND HERE. In the first episode of a four part series, our own Jessica Mackey, former Client Coordinator at ATJ Photo and now Content Developer at the ReWork, joins the conversation, which is a 4 part series on training and educating your clients. Part 1 of that training begins with checking your messaging.  In this episode, you'll learn how to: Get ahead of difficult questions Reflect on current experiences to find the problem with messaging Make your posts on social media and on your website match your message Get your messaging right   Here's a glance at this episode: [2:54] - As the former Client Coordinator at ATJ, Jessica has a lot of experience talking to all types of clients. [4:47] - The photography industry has made it difficult to set boundaries. [6:09] - Many photographers let clients make the rules, but most clients don't want that. [8:04] - Portrait clients need guidance. [9:27] - It's up to us and that's a good thing because you can give the best result. [10:48] - Jessica expects a surgeon to answer questions and explain it all. Similarly, a photography session needs to be walked through. [13:18] - You don't have to be bossy. It's about making the experience the best for your clients. [14:49] - Be constantly vigilant about what your messaging is saying. [16:16] - Your social media posts show what you do. If you don't want to do something specific, don't post it. [17:34] - Check your messaging, but also check in with yourself on your rules and boundaries. Is what you're doing now working? [18:30] - “We do things a little differently than most photographers.” [20:21] - FADQ are Frequently Asked Difficult Questions. Jessica shares the common ones they get at ATJ. [22:43] - If someone comments that things are too expensive, don't get defensive. Agree because it is expensive because it's valuable. [25:17] - Communicate how you work, how you're different, and don't wait till they ask. But don't overwhelm them with too much at once. [26:40] - Communicating your process is giving your client enough information to get them to the next step. [28:09] - The first step in training your clients is checking your messaging. [29:44] - The next step in training your clients is actually retraining yourself.   Links and Resources: Do The ReWorkWebsite | Instagram Allison Tyler JonesWebsite | Instagram | LinkedIn

For this morning, we'll talk about: 1. Hemp was a staple crop of our early American ancestors because of the use of its fiber for clothing, bedding, floor covering, rope, and bagging. 2. Hemp was grown by many notable Americans such as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Andrew Jackson, Henry Clay, Zachary Taylor, among many others. 3. Hemp fiber was used in the production of rope and sheets, and, consequently, became the fiber- of- choice for the British Navy and, later, the American Navy, during the War of 1812. More than 88 tons of hemp was used for the rigging and sails of "Old Ironsides." 4. Kentucky became the largest single producer of hemp in the world, next to Russia, during the early years of the 19th Century. 5. Hemp produced the fiber- of- choice during World War II for the production of parachutes, Army knapsacks, clothing, and even motor vehicle seats, dashboards, and flooring.

Over Coffee® | Stories and Resources from the Intersection of Art and Science | Exploring How to Make STEAM Work For You

An Over Coffee® special-edition podcast! For San Jose's Tech Interactive Museum, this summer will be especially exciting--and interactive. That's because Summer 2022 marks the first summer their "Solve for Earth" exhibit is open! "The Tech" has always been highly interactive. Visitors can assemble robots, get hands-on in maker workshops and conduct chemistry experiments. And these are just three features of the museum with the mission of "inspiring the innovator in everyone". But "Solve for Earth" takes that interactivity and innovation several steps further. The exhibit encompasses 5,000 square feet, took five years to build--and will be constantly evolving. That's because "Solve for Earth" challenges visitors to problem solve a current issue: climate change. In other words, it asks each visitor to take action after going through the various displays. But don't expect to be lectured. This exhibit is designed to be fun! And it's going to spark a lot of new ideas. "Solve for Earth" opened to the public in November 2021. Shortly thereafter, we had the opportunity to speak with Dr. Michelle Maranowski, Lead Exhibit and Content Developer of "Solve for Earth" Michelle, who is both an electrical engineer and a creative professional, shared the story of this unique exhibit offered a mini-tour of what people will see and explained how everyone, on-site or virtually, can continue the conversation as a community working to combat climate change. On this edition of Over Coffee® we cover: How Michelle first came up with the concept of “Solve for Earth”; Her journey, from there, in creating this landmark exhibit; Michelle's recommendations on sharing information about climate change; What you'll see, as you experience “Solve for Earth”; An Easter egg to look for (and there are others!; Some exciting new technologies aimed at reducing carbon emissions; How the Eco Challenge encourages attendees to continue to take action after they've left The Tech; A look at the virtual resources included in “Solve for Earth”; The core concept at the heart of the exhibit; One of the best creative challenges which Michelle experienced, while designing the exhibits; The ways in which she'd like to see “Solve for Earth” evolve, in the future.

This week, 3CT welcomes our first guest from the Fire Service, Fire Fighter Paramedic Michelle Fayed. We immediately launch into the well-established Police vs Fire “sibling rivalry” that exists within the first responder family.  Throughout the show, Michelle humorously proves herself a worthy rival (and sister) as she misses no opportunity to tease her older “cop” brothers in describing both the professional and personal experiences that helped to make her the dedicated medic, fire fighter and mental health trainer that she is today. She also discusses her work and resources within the realm of mental health and resiliency for those in the fire service. This episode is good “family” fun and shows that despite the rivalry, cops and fire fighters have more in common than they may think. Resources/Links/Websites:https://www.firehouse.com/home/contact/21241508/michelle-fayedhttps://redlinerescue.org/mfayed@floridafirefightersafety.orgGuest Bio: Michelle Fayed is a firefighter/paramedic and 19-year veteran of the fire service. "Colorful" and "fun" aren't usually adjectives people apply to solving the problem of climate change. But Dr. Michelle Maranowski has made them applicable to The Tech Interactive Museum's largest new exhibit, "Solve for Earth" in San Jose. Michelle, who is The Tech's full-time Exhibit and Content Developer, spent five years creating "Solve for Earth". The exhibition comprises five thousand square feet, with fifteen different exhibits, and is designed to keep evolving. And it's all about engaging visitors in thinking about their role on the planet--as they play and generate new ideas. No one ever said that coming up with solutions to a serious problem, couldn't involve whimsy in the exploration process. "We're all innovators," says Michelle, who has a Ph.D. in electrical engineering. As an education professional, she also has a focus on storytelling, as a means to inspire others to solve problems. Accordingly, she has designed "Solve for Earth" to keep people thinking about reducing their carbon footprint, after they leave the museum. In addition to the physical exhibit, there's a virtual component with resources, including the Ecotech Challenge, to engage individuals and groups in coming up with ways to live sustainably as a community. Michelle shared her creative journey, offered a preview of the "Solve for Earth" exhibit and discussed some of the viable ways of lowering our carbon footprint. On this edition of Over Coffee® we cover: The genesis of Michelle's creative journey as an innovator; How Michelle first came up with the concept of "Solve for Earth"; Her journey, from there, in creating this landmark exhibit; Michelle's recommendations on sharing information about climate change; What you'll see, as you experience "Solve for Earth"; An Easter egg to look for (and there are others!; Some exciting new technologies aimed at reducing carbon emissions; What's involved in the Eco Challenge, which encourages attendees to continue to take action after they've left The Tech; A look at the virtual resources included in "Solve for Earth"; One of the best creative challenges which Michelle experienced, while designing the exhibits; The ways in which she'd like to see "Solve for Earth" evolve, in the future.

Carlos Santiago, Writer and Content Developer for Family Life, wrote an article which captured my attention about How to Raise a Boy to be a Man. It triggered the questions many fathers of sons might have. How do I begin leading my son into godly manhood? When do I start? How young is too young? What principles do I begin with? Carlos dives into these answers, and most importantly we talk about how to begin by leading ourselves.     Leadership is developed before you get married, because to lead others, including our wives and children, we must lead ourselves first. That might be easier said than done when it comes to things like understanding your heart, asking for help, controlling your emotions, and taking responsibility. But Carlos leads us through practical examples of how to begin doing these things ourselves so that we can lead our sons.    “Manhood is under attack everywhere you go. People don't have examples readily available, and others are getting torn down.”    If you've ever felt a void in what it means to be a godly leader as a man, whether personally, in culture, or even in the church, you're not alone. I hope you'll listen in for Carlos' valuable insight on leading the next generation of boys into biblical manhood.    Resources:    How to Raise a Boy to be a Man by Carlos Santiago  Family Life – Be sure to sign up to receive helpful resources for your family.  Your Ever After – Carlos and Tanya Santiago  Family Life app in Google Play and the Apple Store  YouVersion Bible app – search for plans by Carlos Santiago and Family Life    Join us next week with Keith Tulley of Family Life and Weekend to Remember, as we talk about how The Noble Man Leads His Wife.    View Show Notes: NobleWarriors.org/Episode33 Leave a Review: If you like what you've been hearing, we invite you to leave us a review. Since 2014 he has worked with top firms, brands on different social and digital PR campaigns. Notable among them are project fame, Gulder ultimate search, MTV Shuga, MasterCard, and many others. Popularly in many circles on social media as Glowville he shares rich humorous and educational content. Helping small businesses gain popularity through communications and sharing career nuggets for beginners. He also conducts media training within Lagos personally and within a team. Below is a summary of the interview Keeping Up With Social Media Marketing with Olumide Lawrence Olumide is a media strategist and content developer who has worked with many companies and brands in Nigeria ranging from Glo View to MTV. He explained that he had created the name “Glo Ville” in 2012 when he started a blog and wanted to give the blog a name that was catchy and over time people began to call him Glo Viile instead. He recalled that his journey into social media marketing had begun when he discovered social media and PR in a special class he had attended to build himself. Though a friend of his had introduced him fully into blogging, content creation and content marketing he maintained that he had not looked back ever since. He boasted of about 10,000 followers on his Facebook page, which he claimed to have built through sharing his life experiences and people engaging with his content. Replying to what instincts a social media marketer is required to have, Olumide mentioned that as long as one is able to sustain interest in a particular thing, they could succeed at it. He went further to explain that if one has an interest in a particular field, is able to learn everything about that field and follows the right people their journey would be made easier. He stated that it was important for every social media marketer to understand marketing and to also understand their target audience and the language that appeals to them. He mentioned that for one to be able to create marketable content, the content needs to have four motives in total; to humor, to educate, to inspire and to intercept. On how he keeps up with trends he maintained that it was about the interest in something as it keeps one going back to check for what’s new in the field so as to come up with new things for the audience. On how people can market their products he said that stories serve as an escape for many people and if one is able to incorporate the marketing strategies he would sell. He went further to advise against repetitive storytelling patterns as it soon gets boring to the audience but they should make sure to switch their storytelling pattern. On how to salvage a marketing strategy gone wrong he said that one should first identify why they are there, be clear on if they are apologizing or not and create a redemption strategy to aid continuation. He opined that Facebook was a better platform for small businesses as it made provisions to help small businesses within a low budget and gave the best engagement results amongst other platforms. Someone called in to the show asking how one could create viral content for demanding clients, Olumide said that the trick is to create something that is relatable and people are passionate about it.

Though mining is an important part of the cryptocurrency ecosystem, there are very few miners and even fewer tools to help miners achieve their goals. What tools that currently exist require substantial knowledge of computers and mining, and none of them are designed to assist miners with several computers mining at the same time. EasyMINE hopes to change that by offering a comprehensive mining management platform that is as easy to use as installing a USB drive, starting the mining machine, and beginning to mine cryptocurrency. Their product is geared towards both experienced miners, who need to be able to tell at a glance how each of their machines is performing and make necessary changes, and mining newcomers, who need an easy and simple way to become active in the space. Overall, both experienced miners and newcomers will gain stability, ease of use, and peace of mind in their mining operations.
