We aim to showcase undergraduate research to build a community that informs, connects, and inspires undergraduate students interested in research. As current undergraduate researchers ourselves, we understand the struggle that the pandemic has put on research, so we want to provide a space for students like us or who are interested in getting involved in research. Our podcast is structured to highlight experiences of undergraduate researchers, but also to offer advice on pre-professional schools, and present relevant educational content in an approachable way.
Hear from Faiza about mapping the brain, the neuroscience of learning sound, and the Project SUPER undergraduate research program! Hello everyone! Welcome to our first full-length video! This conversation was strongly fueled by several of the sentiments that led to the birth of this project: social isolation has severely damaged a world that before already struggled to come together – that of the undergraduate researcher community. Among the themes addressed are remote projects, finding structure at a time when help and guidance is of limited access, maintaining motivation and inspiration to pursue this passion and relationship dynamics with fellow lab members and mentors. Surely, we also talked about more and you can learn all about it by checking out this episode! For example, we really believe that our struggles and experiences in the process of becoming undergrad researchers could be transformed in helpful, structured and informative advice for any of you who may be interested in pursuit research or learn more about other students' perspectives on this matter! We are beyond grateful for the incredible support we have received so far on our introductory video and have so many fun episodes coming up for you! Feel free to share suggestions, questions or requests you have for us so that we can make this podcast a lot more fun and entertaining for all of you!
