Often times, we hear about these "Self Help" speakers, books, podcasts, or videos on the internet. But Mindfulness is a practice that our minds and bodies actually tend to do naturally, we just ignore or unintentionally generate outcomes that we don't want.In other words, we normally are aware about things happening, but not as much today because of so many distractions such as media, people, places to be etc. With intentional Mindfulness, we can be focused on what we want out of our life, and take control of where we are going.
We can be practicing and doing the homework we study to make better choices in life, but one thing that can hold us back is our past. Our past can have limited belief systems that prevent us from moving forward, growing, and forming better relationships because of how we think ultimately.Understand that they are temporary limited belief systems, and do not need to permanently dictate our lives.Time Stamps(1) Accept it, Don't Beat Yourself Up 12:50(2) Decide To Move on, Learn From Your Past 15:07(3) Forgive, Focus on The Present

When we change our perspective, we can change the way our life is through just our shift in view. We may complain, wish for something else, want to be in a different place in life, or want more money. However, when will these desires and wants come to an end? When we look at the world around us, we can see that what we have is already great, and we should be more patient with our journey in life.Ever been in a bad situation, that was leaving you in tunnel vision and the only thing that mattered was handling that situation, only to then realize later on that it wasn't so bad? We then learned a valuable lesson and had an "aha" moment. Daily habits are important to our success and direction in life. We often allow ourselves to get caught in the hustle and bustle of daily circumstances. When we form habits that benefit us, they become second nature and require little to no thinking or processing. With this in mind, our habits (if aligned to our goals) help move us in the direction we ultimately wish to go in, increasing our chances of staying on track and getting closer to our ideal place in life

The past is in the past, the future is non existent, and the only thing real is the present moment. It's difficult to accept things for the way they may turn out to be. Understand that we are all human, and to relieve ourselves from suffering over not accepting things for the way they are, (getting fired, society, loved one's habits, etc) we must LET GO, and ACCEPT life for the way it is.In the end, it just may be what we need to get us to where we want to or need to go in life.
"Everything that happens to us, is the best possible thing to happen."How many times have we clenched onto a grudge or had an expectation of someone, an event, or ourselves? Too many times, do we get caught up in the need to hang on to things that are not benefiting us.For example, we cling onto an expected outcome of a new relationship, or job outcome. We then start playing scenarios in our head that may not even happen.
Certain times in our lives, we have felt crippled or stuck because this thing called anxiety has us in a downward spiral or perhaps gives us this clenching feeling in our chest. Understand that it can be managed by first knowing what exactly is happening. Anxiety will not necessarily just "go away" but just like clouds in the sky, thoughts and feelings will pass. I share some tools from my firsthand experience on how to manage it.
Often times, we tell ourselves that we will "be happy" when we finally get that paid internship, promotion, relationship, dream house, or desired income. When in reality, that is not true happiness. Happiness is a state of being, a choice, a mindset. When we put ourselves in the mindful habit of believing that we require external things to become truly happy, we set ourselves up for an endless cycle of being let down. We often do not need those external things to be happy.
Having a mindful approach to life is a skill that is not easy to build, but reaps many benefits. Being involved fully in day to day interactions allows us to be focused, appreciative, and to have a clearer mind..A mindful approach to life, allows us to take situations for exactly how they are (without assumptions), and gives us the capability to choose how to act instead of just responding based on impulse.
