Hey there friends! On today's episode, I'm excited to be speaking with Mr. Aaron Friesen, co-host of the podcast "Growing Up Punk". I've been listening to Growing Up Punk now for a while, I'm a fan of their show. When I first started Having a Blast, Aaron reached out to me and gave me some encouraging words and I really appreciated that. I figured we'd have a lot in common seeing as how we are the same age, and we grew up loving the same types of music and bands. Aaron and I cover a lot of topics in this episode. He was the drummer in the band Means, and we talk a little bit about playing in bands, making time to play our instruments, as well as touring. We also talk about transitioning away from being in a band and doing other things like podcasting. We also dive into the new "resurgence" of pop punk, what our thoughts are, and what we're excited about with bands and albums coming up. I had a lot of fun chatting with Aaron, it was great to learn more about him and hear about his process. So without further ado, please enjoy this wide-ranging conversation with Aaron from Growing Up Punk.
I had the chance to talk to an old friend on this episode. Aaron was the drummer in a band called Means OR Means 2 an End. We talk about his musical journey and what happened to Means.
A process through which a child becomes estranged from a parent as the result of the psychological manipulation of another parent. The child's estrangement may manifest itself as fear, disrespect or hostility toward the distant parent, and may extend to additional relatives or parties. It often occurs with borderline women or narcissistic men to get the kids on their side through lies, gas lighting and talking bad about the other parent or their family. More often than not it eventually backfires. Scott covers more of this on his company's YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EgaBlmTirUk #boyswillbeboys features 4 friends that carried Aaron Friesen in his wheelchair up to see a waterfall that he'd never be able to see otherwise. .https://calgary.ctvnews.ca/aaron-goes-wherever-we-go-friends-carry-man-in-wheelchair-to-view-waterfall-1.5058310?cache=
