Marc Carig (Newsday) and Rich MacLeod (MLB.com, BP Mets) joined us for a twofer on a very special Ghoul Fundies. After Roger was wished a Happy Scareadays season from a very old ghoul (01:40), Brian and Roger talked about new Mets manager Mickey Callaway (08:30), and the details of the not so smooth purchase of the Triple-A Syracuse franchise you probably don't know about (13:00). Then Marc Carig joined the Good Fundies boys and discussed the latest news on Asdrubal Cabrera and Jerry Blevins' options (34:15), what it was like to walk into the Mets clubhouse the day after his now famous piece on Terry Collins (38:45), Mickey Callaway(46:42), how TC handled his players (52:20), why the team released Nori Aoki (56:30), not writing about this year's World Series(57:35), how he would have approached writing about the crazy Game 5 (59:25), his Series prediction (01:02:50), if the balls are juiced or not (01:08:00), and how he's celebrating Halloween (01:11:40). Then Rich MacLeod stepped up to the plate. After Roger kept asking him what the MLB replay hub is really like (01:16:00), he talked about having to edit videos of the Mets stinking (01:17:00), why he still bothers with #MetsTwitter (01:23:00), how late MLB employees work during the postseason (01:26:00), what Ryan Church told him about his concussion and missing third base(01:27:30), Church's reaction to Ray Ramirez's dismissal (01:32:00), and of course his World Series prediction (01:37:45). In the mailbag, the boys were asked if the Mets should go trade for Dee Gordon (01:46:30), if Brian would rather live alone with Jay Bruce on a deserted island instead of TC or Rafael Montero (01:49:40), and if RA Dickey should return to Flushing (01:51:15). You can now prove to us you have good fundamentals by donating to our Patreon page at patreon.com/goodfundies Thanks to Bobby "Boris" Pickett and George Michael for the music.

At least for the first half of the show where we blearily cover another spate of Mets injuries, the return of Yoenis Cespedes, a reflective This Week in Matt Harvey, and the Lucas Duda free agent conundrum. In the second half of the show we are joined by Skyler Kanfer of BP Mets to discuss the 2017 Mets draft class. In the third half of the show we answer your e-mails and go over first half storylines in the Mets minors.

Andrew Mearns (Pinstripe Alley, BP Mets, and the 'A Scene of Ice and Fire' podcast) brings some much-needed levity to the podcast to candidly discuss the modern day pitfalls of doing things alone and the follies of making friends in today's society. This episode was pre-recorded and Andrew's situation has since changed, so, as much as you'd like to, don't contact him for dates. Also, Michael forgets the name of the podcast and Trevor makes the correction without him noticing. Enjoy.

In Episode 30 of For All You Kids Out There, it is another slow news week in Metsland, so Jeffrey and Jarrett spend most of the first half of the show talking about Hunter Harvey. It happens. Also the Jean Segura trade. As this is nominally a Mets podcast we do talk about Gary Cohen and Tim Teufel. In the second half of the show we are jjoined by Skyler Kanfer of BP Mets to go over the 21st to 30th best prospects in the Mets system as news breaks all around us.And in the third half of the show we answer a question about...uh...Gary Cohen, and chat a bit about the pro wrestling. The Winter Meetings start soon we promise.

We return with regular programming, which means a two-plus-hour podcast with too much pro wrestling talk. In the first half of the show we chat about when and if to shut down Syndergaard and Matz, if Travis d'Arnaud is now underrated again, and what the Mets should do this offseason with Neil Walker. In the second half, Mike Vorkunov of BP Mets and everywhere else on the interent joins us to break down exactly where the 2016 Mets season went wrong. And in the third half of the show, we chat about Mets prospects Ali Sanchez and Luis Carpio (and eventually, inevitably, Dominic Smith) and then wrap up the show with about forty minutes on NXT Takeover II and the general future direction of the WWE. Like we said, back to regular programming.

Saturday is usually the day Jeffrey and Jarrett make their notes for the show. Instead, they recorded in a hotel room in Bethlehem, PA between games in a split International League doubleheader. On the plus side, this is the shortest episode yet, on the minus side, it is still as disorganized and bogged down in pro wrestling talk as usual. In the first half of the show we discuss Noah Syndergaard's continued maturation into an ace generally, and his usage in the Pirates game specifically. We then chat about Travis d'Arnaud's short term future with the Mets, and go in-depth on Jarrett's BP Mets article last week on Jacob deGrom. Next, the BP Mets big boss Bryan Grosnick joins the show to talk David Wright and potential future third basemen for the Metropolitans. Finally we wrap things up with two(!) lists (one David Wright, one pro wrestling), and kibitz about Triple-A baseball.

In Episode 3 of For All You Kids Out There, the BP Mets podcast, Jeffrey and Jarrett have a reasonable, sobering (but not sober) discussion about what ails Matt Harvey. Is it just a matter of physician, heal thyself, or does he need an, uh, actual physician. Fortunately the Mets bullpen has been good even as the starting pitching has underperformed a bit, but Jeffrey isn't convinced this is going to last. Next, we chat with Erik Malinowski about recent Bartolo Colon news and recent David Wright walkoffs, Finally we wrap things up with your missives and a long discussion about David Ortiz and the Hall of Fame, because Jeffrey stupidly got Jarrett wound up about Mike Mussina.
