Brenda Hampton drops the Cain and cranks up the funny in this jam-packed episode! Joey is forced to get a job at a Mexican restaurant after an accident with Nick's car, and falls in love with a waitress. The only problem is that she doesn't speak English. Anthony saves a "famous" photographer, who in return agrees to take a portrait for the Russo family. Buzz wears a toupée. And, to bring down the mood, Six spends all her free time cleaning Blossom's house to avoid the reality of her parents getting a divorce.
Plenty of strange things happened on '7th Heaven' — sisters kissing brothers, 5-year-olds getting drug tested, hamsters being named Jesus and Mom — but there is perhaps no moment more bananas than 13-year-old Lucy Camden discussing her crush for... Prince Charles. The moment occurs in the pilot episode of the series (way to start strong!), the focus of our latest episode. Allison and Kate dive into one of the most bizarre series to ever hit the WB, and learn about the hole creator Brenda Hampton filled with '7th Heaven,' the MLK Day special episode about a hate crime committed against a white boy (titled "Got MLK?"), and, of course, the degradation of Mary Camden following Jessica Biel's much-discussed 'Gear Magazine' cover. So grab your jorts and enjoy the story of '7th Heaven'!
What's up, fellow teens? This week's episode, S02E03, "The List Is Life," was ghost-written by Brenda Hampton. Just kidding, it was vampire-written by Julie Plec! Haha! This is our teendramaiest episode yet, and your mileage may vary. There's a list, there's a bonfire, there's the video game of the movie "G-Force", what more could you want? Well, a lot, but whatever! Don't complain too much, unless you want to win the Biggest Diaper Baby Award! Sam | Jordan Twitter | Patreon | Discord | YouTube
There's some grieving from Gideon on the Podcast as indications are that Joe Biden will be sworn in as President, though his fabled ‘blue wave' failed to eventuate. Trump confounded the polls and energised a mass base of Americans in a way that suggests his political legacy will live on. Is this at the expense of the right's traditional free market values - or was there a fusion? Did Trump really divide America, or was he just the first to be honest about the social and economic division and the nature of the ruling elite? How can the claim still be made that Trumpism is all dog whistle racism when the GOP made further gains amongst Latinos and other minorities? Trump has permanently flipped the world's view of China but what now is the future for trade and tariff policies? Will Biden have Australia's back during any further bruising retaliations by China? Guests Gideon Rozner and Morgan Begg join Scott and Chris to answer these questions and also share their culture picks, which include Chris' highly recommended Netflix TV series, The Queen's Gambit by Scott Frank and Allan Scott; Morgan's documentary series on Netflix, High Score, stemming from his interest in the history of video games; and Gideon's rerun of his favourite childhood TV show, 7th Heaven by Brenda Hampton.
We’re back, again, but in a different way from when we were back last week! Today we begin our new journey: we’re reading “The Secret Life Of The American Teenager [SEASON 6] Together Forever”, a fan fiction by Wattpad user magicofessence. We begin with the first five chapters, which are, honestly, pretty decently written for a Secret Life fanfic! George is still the worst, and she even remembered that Roboruto exists! Wow! Brenda Hampton, eat your heart out! This week, we’re getting hit right in the feels. Thanks, magicofessence!Sam | JordanTwitter | Tumblr | Patreon | Discord | YouTube

Content warning: this episode, for some reason, deals with the topic of child sex trafficking, and is handled as well as you would expect from Brenda Hampton. If you don’t want to hear about that, and about what she thinks of sex work in general, this is an episode to skip! Unfortunately, friend of the show Val (who we promise did not know what the episode was about before picking to be on this week) has joined us once again for S05E09, “Property Not for Sale”! Do you get it?! This week, we can’t wait to enjoy another regular day in Small-Town LA. And now to take a big sip of coffee and look at the newspaper!Sam | Jordan | ValTwitter | Tumblr | Patreon | Discord | YouTube
We did it! Four seasons complete! That’s a whole year of television, which is when a show ends. But first, we have to talk about S04E24, “Love Is Love”. What if, last episode, but with more overt homophobia? Fortunately, Producer Lauren is here to enjoy it with us, except for the part where Sam had to physically restrain her because she was getting too mad. This week, Ricky and George aren’t the worst characters. How fun for us!Sam | Jordan | LaurenTwitter | Tumblr | Patreon | Discord | YouTube

On the Juergen’ It Patreon, we spent February through April this year watching and discussing the famous Just Say Me episode of Secret Life, over and over again. Our plan was to do it weekly until the subscribers voted for us to stop, but our hiatus unfortunately threw a wrench in those plans. However, at long last we have reunited for one last foray into the twisted masturbatory mind of Brenda Hampton, after which we took it upon ourselves to act out the episode from memory. We had so much fun with this one, we decided to put it on the regular podcast feed! If you listen to this episode and are wondering, “huh, that was really great content and I loved it, but what were those weird jokes that I didn’t understand? There was something about Alice being magic, and I didn’t have the context but I still loved it so much?” then consider heading on over to the Patreon and throwing in just a dollar a month to get access to the whole series! Just something to think about!
Sam just emailed a proposal to Brenda Hampton for a remastering of this classic family drama, with yours truly playing the role of Eric Camden. Shang isn't seeing the bigger picture when he sings for Ping(Mulan) to pack up and leave basic training. Come see a show: Yours, Mine, and Ours 5/16, and The World Series of Comedy Satellite Round at Wichita's Loony Bin, 5/22. The theme music for this episode is VHS by Keanutis Smith & lyfestile. Used with permission of the artist.

Brenda Hampton, you’ve done it again! It’s S03E17, “Guess Who’s Not Coming to Dinner”, another episode that officially qualifies as One of The Worst! Adrian continues to have her humanity and agency stripped away from her by the writers, Ben gets what he wants, Ruben gets what he wants, and Leo forgets what he wants. This week, Val saves the episode. Thank you as always to our wonderful patrons!Sam | JordanTwitter | Tumblr | Patreon | Discord

This week on Rising Resistance, we have guest Brenda Hampton joining us to discuss the current water crisis in Northern Alabama. Feel free to call in with any questions or comments. Brenda Hampton is an advocate who fights for clean water. She is currently involved with an ongoing investigation regarding water contamination in Lawrence County, Alabama. For more information and/or updates, please visit Concerned Citizens WMEL Water Authority (Grassroots) on Facebook.
The Rev is called to serve on a jury in a criminal trial and Brenda Hampton blew us here at CamdenCast away with the level of woke in this episode. While at times misguided, 7th Heaven navigates the flaws and prejudices in the criminal justice in the United States and expounds on the discourse surrounding race and the criminal justice system that we are still having 17 years later. We don't really know what else happened because this jury story line was so important to us.
Episode 217 of 7th Heaven has the Camdens dealing with grief once more. Brenda Hampton introduces a character into Lucy's life simply to take said character away within the first twenty minutes of the episode. Erin and Tanvee ponder whether or not this episode really was the best way to incorporate Beverley Mitchell's real life experience of losing a friend into the show.
Erin and Tanvee had very little to complain about in episode 209 of 7th Heaven, "I Hate You." The Camdens teach us in this episode that words mean things and things can hurt people or something. Mary and Lucy continue to be terrible and have even come up with a handshake to punctuate the awful things they say. Simon befriends a Holocaust survivor and Brenda Hampton pretty wisely and artfully employed a real Holocaust survivor to play the role, as well as used a real story as the character background.
In this episode of CamdenCast, Erin and Tanvee find out Glenoak is apparently home to a gang and if trouble is a-brewing in Glenoak then the Reverend is a-meddling, so business as usual on 7th Heaven. We also learn that Brenda Hampton does not understand gangs at all, so the episode is outrageous as ever.
In the second episode of season two of 7th Heaven we find out that Ruthie is a super genius, there is a small "That 70's Show" reunion, and Brenda Hampton once again tries to address depression and suicide and fails miserably. Season 2 is still off to a dismal start and the CamRents pack more PDA into this episode than they did in the entire first season.
In the 18th episode of CamdenCast, Erin and Tanvee struggle to understand how Brenda Hampton could produce back to back duds. Annie becomes the Glen Oak Church treasurer for some reason and Lucy and Jimmy Moon's relationship is really put to the test when Lucy catches Jimmy Moon and Mary working on more than just the periodic table while they explore their personal chemistry.
WARNING: This episode contains strong language, adult themes, and the questionable content of Brenda Hampton’s career. Let’s talk about sex and teens, babies having babies, and all the not good things and extra bad things to which that leads! Join your hosts @maurae, @lafergs, and @kaceybange along with guest @galfridian to discuss post-7th Heaven wave feminism and why Nice Guys deserve to finish last.
