Happy Holidays to you all from Hayley and BVK! On this, "A Very Special Episode" of Source Pages, Brian plays for you one of his most played Christmas albums of all-time: "Christmas In the Stars: Star Wars Christmas Album", released in 1980 by the artist Meco, who had hits with the "Star Wars Theme/ Cantina Band" dance version and also "Ewok Celebration". Anthony Daniels, who IS C-3PO narrates and sings, as well as the very first appearance by a future Rock and Roll Hall of Famer on track 5. For some reason, this album was pulled from streaming services this year, so here it is in its entirety. Enjoy! Album listened to:Christmas In the Stars: Star Wars Christmas Album (Meco/ 1980)"Christmas in the Stars" – 3:17"Bells, Bells, Bells" – 3:15"The Odds Against Christmas" – 3:04"What Can You Get a Wookiee for Christmas (When He Already Owns a Comb?)" – 3:24"R2D2 We Wish You a Merry Christmas" – 3:16"Sleigh Ride" – 3:36"Merry, Merry Christmas" – 2:09"A Christmas Sighting ('Twas the Night Before Christmas)" – 3:43"The Meaning of Christmas" – 8:08EMAIL: SPARCPODCAST@GMAIL.COMTWITTER: https://twitter.com/SourcePagesCastINSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/thesourcepagespodcast/FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/SPARCPODCASTSPaRC's Podcast Buddies:Across the Bifrost: The Mighty Thor - https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/across-the-bifrost-the-mighty-thor-podcast/id1572200841Dan and Ian Have Questions - https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/dan-and-ian-have-questions-podcast/id1587402809Commute: The Podcast - https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/commute-the-podcast/id1552657624Segabits - https://segabits.com/Machtails From the Cantina - https://www.facebook.com/machtailsfromthecantina/Rebel Force Radio Presents "The Babu Freaks" - https://www.rebelforceradio.com/shows/category/BaJacked Kirby - https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/jacked-kirby/id1248146026Star Wars YOU-niverse - https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/star-wars-you-niverse-podcast/id1704904756

This holiday special is so terrible that once it aired, George Lucas made sure it could never broadcast again. On this episode of Newcomers, we take a quick break from finishing the prequel series to review the absolute fever dream that is the Star Wars Holiday Special from 1978. This film has it all- a sci-fi drag queen, hypnotic Wookiee porn, fascist themes, and queer canon?! Oscar Montoya (host of Spanish Aqui Presents, Inside the Disney Vault, & voice on Fox's Inside The Heart) joins us to break it all down. Plus, we listen to the song "What Can You Get a Wookiee for Christmas (When He Already Owns a Comb?)" from the Star Wars Christmas Album, "Christmas in the Stars".Watch the Star Wars Holiday Special here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hH8rxarVG8Like this show? It's Christmas Eve. Chances are, you've heard a lot of beautiful music. If you're looking for more of that, you've come to the wrong place. Welcome to Jingle Hell, where bad songs are born, and good songs come to die.
