On October 30, 1975, fifteen-year-old Martha Moxley failed to return home after a night out with friends in Belle Haven, an exclusive wealthy enclave in Greenwich, CT. The following morning, Moxley's badly beaten body was discovered underneath a tree, just a few hundred feet from her house, triggering one of the most notorious murder mysteries in the state's history.   MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE: Buy Tickets to MORBID LIVE at Radio City Music Hall on June 27th! You've done the work. You cleaned up your diet, fixed your sleep, addressed your metabolic health — and something is still wrong. Brain fog you can't explain. Fatigue that won't move. Weight creeping up for no apparent reason. Personality changes your family notices before you do.Nurse practitioner Ally D'Amico spent 14 years watching patients spiral through specialists, collect diagnoses like fibromyalgia and chronic depression, and never actually get better — until she stumbled onto the thing nobody in conventional medicine was looking for. (5) Josiah Osgood explains that by 58 BCE, Caesar's allies sent Cato to Cyprus to liquidate its treasury, a mission Catoperformed with obsessive rectitude. Simultaneously, Caesar departed for Gaul, building a formidable military reputation and a deep bond with his soldiers through strategic risk-taking. The alliance between Caesar and Pompey was cemented by Pompey's marriage to Caesar's daughter, Julia. However, Julia's death in childbirth severed this vital link. Catoexploited this loss, romancing Pompey toward the senatorial side as anarchy and riots plagued Rome, signaling the beginning of the Triumvirate's collapse.

D4VD admitted in interview after interview that the emotions in his music weren't real. He said they were constructed. Performed. Pulled from other people's lives. We heard that as a charming origin story. According to prosecutors, it may have been something else entirely. This episode takes a hard look at who David Anthony Burke was before the allegations — not as a musician, but as a person shaped by isolation. Homeschooled from seventh grade. No peer social environment. A digital world that came before the physical one. Burke told the CBC the first concert he ever attended was his own. He told Dazed he'd create fake emotional scenarios and channel them into content. Every interviewer heard it. Nobody connected it to anything darker.According to prosecutors, Burke was allegedly running two entirely separate realities at the same time for over a year. On one side, a rising career and public press about emotional growth. On the other, according to the People's Brief, an alleged relationship with a child held together by secret phones, alleged fake identification, and matching tattoos that spelled out the one word that allegedly held it all in place. When LA County deputies conducted a welfare check and told Burke directly that Celeste Rivas Hernandez was thirteen, he allegedly showed them a yearbook photo of her from his phone — while telling them he'd only met her once. According to prosecutors, the relationship didn't stop. It allegedly escalated. We trace the psychology of how someone allegedly builds and maintains a hidden world, the alleged forty-eight hours prosecutors describe after Celeste was allegedly killed — including the podcast interview and the album release — and the art that may have been telling the story all along: a hit called “Romantic Homicide,” a music video showing a body placed in a trunk, and an album called Withered.Burke has pleaded not guilty. His defense team says he did not commit this crime and was not the cause of Celeste's death.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Your body already knows how to heal itself. The question is whether anyone is giving it the right signals.Dr. Adeel Khan trained as a conventional physician before following a thread most doctors ignore: what if we could restore the system, not just manage the symptoms? That thread led him through sports medicine, global laboratories, stem cell research, and a fundamental rethinking of what aging actually is at the cellular level. In this conversation, Dr. Khan explains why most clinics calling themselves "stem cell" providers aren't offering what they claim, what MUSE cells actually do differently, why the US regulatory environment has kept these therapies out of reach — and what's quietly changing. He also pulls back the curtain on peptides, mitochondrial repair, and the emerging field of proteomics that may finally give us real data on how well these interventions work. The future of medicine may not look like treatment at all. It may look like restoration.BIG IDEAIf the system we built worked so well, we wouldn't have the problems that we do.Contact: Dr. Adeel KhanSocial Media: @drakhanWebsite: eterna.healthSend Dr. Ovadia a Text Message. THE TESTAMENTS – “Marat Sade” – As Daisy steps into a new role, she considers what she's willing to lose to help her friends. (Disney/Russ Martin)CHASE INFINITI The shortest episode of the season, but maybe the most layered. Right off the bat, Caroline and Paul dissect this episode’s name and what its use may imply. Some hints: it’s actually a derivation of a much longer name – The Persecution and Assassination of Jean-Paul Marat as Performed by the Inmates of the Asylum of Charenton Under the Direction of the Marquis de Sade, and it involves the French Revolution, an asylum, the Marquis de Sade, and the murder of a revolutionary. Go check out the Wikipedia entry for the movie based on the play here or about the play itself here. This is our favorite kind of episode to take apart and discuss all of the different parts that make it stand out. The deep title, the visual motifs, the foreshadowing – this episode had a LOT for the viewers to chew on and in one of the longest podcasts of this series so far, Paul and Caroline certainly have full… mouths? I’m not sure that metaphor works. We would never physically chew into the microphone during a podcast. I just mean to say that the podcast is dense this week. Nick Norwitz has an MD, a PhD, and a cholesterol level that should have killed him — at least according to the standard model of cardiovascular disease. For seven years, his total cholesterol held above 700. His LDL sat in the high 500s. Every clinical algorithm flagged him as a cardiac emergency. He took none of the prescribed medications. His just-published case report shows zero coronary plaque. Not reduced. Not minimal. Zero. This episode isn't a victory lap. It's a serious conversation about what that result means — for how medicine measures risk, how it handles outliers, and why the incentive structures that shape clinical decisions may be more dangerous than any single cholesterol number. Dr. Philip Ovadia and Nick Norwitz also go deep on a fraudulent case report published in Circulation, why statins suppress GLP-1 levels and almost no cardiologist knows it, and what happens when the patient who refuses to follow the algorithm turns out to be right.#metabolichealth #cholesterol #ketodiet #heartdisease #LDLcholesterol #evidencebasedmedicine #lowcarb #preventivecardiologyBIG IDEAA patient with seven years of astronomically high cholesterol and zero coronary plaque is not an outlier to dismiss — he is a question medicine is obligated to answer.Nick Norwitz Contact InfoNewsletter: staycuriousmetabolism.com (Top 2 Best-Selling in Science, Globally)YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@nicknorwitzMDPhD (>1M Subscribers)Twitter: https://x.com/nicknorwitzInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/nicknorwitz/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/nicknorwitz/Threads: https://www.threads.net/@nicknorwitzFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/nicknorwitzNick's Case Report:Seven Years of 700 Cholesterol Without CoronaryAtherosclerosis: A Lean Mass Hyper-Responder Case ReportSend Dr. Ovadia a Text Message. Imagine walking through life with a label stuck to your forehead. It might say ‘depressed', ‘anxious', ‘lazy', ‘introvert', ‘too much', or ‘not enough'.   Everywhere you go, people see it. And slowly—quietly—you start to believe it. That label doesn't just describe you. It begins to define you.   Today on I Love Me The Podcast, we're exploring what it would mean to lose the labels we've placed on ourselves.  Not just diagnoses like depression or ADHD, but all the identities, behaviours, and stories that have slowly boxed us in over time.   Because here's the truth: You are not your label. And you never were.   So… let's explore why labels can be both helpful and harmful, how to break free of them, and real-life examples of people—including myself—who chose to let go and reclaim their lives.   You can take a peek at the full episode show notes (and resources I refer to in the show) here: https://gettingnaked.com.au/2026/05/20/92-losing-the-label-how-letting-go-of-identity-can-set-you-free/   Resources…   Ep.32 Bye Bye Blues. For 20+ years I've been teaching people worldwide how to heal depression and anxiety naturally, strengthen pelvic health, and cultivate radical self-love.   In 2011, I founded Getting Naked, an online school offering resources and programs that help people strip away limiting beliefs and childhood conditioning so they can feel confident, connected, free in their bodies and able to love and accept themselves unconditionally.   Alongside being a mum, wife, tea lover, and drummer, I'm qualified in more than a dozen holistic healing modalities. I've written two books, been published worldwide (print, TV, radio, etc), and often share my passion for self-love, mental health and pelvic wellbeing at yoga and spirituality festivals.   My own journey began when I learned how to overcome suicidal depression and anxiety without medication. From that, I created a ten-session self-love therapy program that now helps others do the same.   On the podcast, I share personal stories, tools and science-backed down-to-earth practices for emotional healing, women's health, and living with more joy and freedom. Glenn Kreisberg is a researcher, engineer, author of Spirits in Stone: The Secrets of Megalithic America and co-founder of The Overlook Mountain Center in Woodstock, New York. For this in-the-field episode, we visit a mysterious archaeological site, a mountainside covered in signs of ancient indigenous habitation, enigmatic cairns and serpentine walls. After a reading of early 19th-century accounts from the likes of Lewis & Clark about stone heaps and large stone worship in Native American culture, we begin an intriguing & controversial conversation about the differences in opinion of the origin of the mysterious stone structures littered across the Hudson River Valley. Are they merely the remnants of colonial farm life? Are they much older Native American ceremonial landscapes? Do some have astrological alignments to the stars and solstices? And for what purpose were they made? After touring Overlook Mountain, we hike along a ragged ridge top to what appears to be a megalith perched upon a peg. Throughout are wild musings on possible Celtic influence, the study of orbs, psychedelics and the return of the goddess.Purchase Glenn's book Spirits in Stone: The Secrets of Megalithic America and join his Facebook group Archaeoastronomy and Landscape Archaeology in Northeast America. You got the tests. You got the diagnosis — maybe more than one. You took the medication. And you still don't feel like yourself.Reed Davis has spent 30 years working with exactly those people. As the founder of Functional Diagnostic Nutrition, he's trained over 5,000 practitioners in a methodology built on one counterintuitive premise: chasing a diagnosis may be the wrong move entirely.Instead of narrowing in on a label, Reed looks for what he calls metabolic chaos — a constellation of interconnected dysfunction across hormones, immunity, digestion, detoxification, energy production, and the nervous system. The body, he argues, already knows how to heal. The job is to stop obstructing it.What that looks like in practice — and the stories of what happens when you get it right — is where this conversation gets interesting.BIG IDEAYou're supposed to live yourself out of the problems you've lived yourself into.Reed Davis contact infoWebsites: Functional Diagnostic Nutrition: https://www.functionaldiagnosticnutrition.com/Find Your Metabolic Type: https://mtdiet.com/Discount From the Podcast: https://FDNTraining.com/SOMOT26Send Dr. Ovadia a Text Message. It helped me build a multi seven-figure business. Then it became my number one addiction. Then it turned into a coping mechanism I reached for every time life got hard. And then, after losing both of my parents, I basically wanted to throw my phone into the ocean and never look back.In this episode, I'm sharing the full, messy truth of my relationship with social media, including the part that surprised even me: that since pulling way back, my content is performing better than it ever has. Medicine has always positioned itself as the authority — the place you go when something is wrong, on its terms, in its building, by its schedule. But the infrastructure built to support that model may now be its biggest liability.Dr. Ami Bhatt, Chief Innovation Officer of the American College of Cardiology, has a front-row seat to what's breaking down and what's quietly beginning to work. What she sees isn't a technology problem. It's a relationship problem — between patients and the systems meant to serve them, between clinicians and the tools being handed to them, between the pace of innovation and the inertia of institutions that were never designed to move. She's not here to predict the future. She's already living in the parts of it that are functioning. And what she's learned about why good technology fails — and why broken systems persist — applies far beyond cardiology.Dr. Ami Bhatt Contact InfoWebsite: dramibhatt.comSocials: dramibhatt on Linkedin and XSend Dr. Ovadia a Text Message. Darius Sharpe has spent over two decades watching the same patients cycle through emergency rooms with the same conditions, the same medications, and the same unaddressed root cause. As a paramedic-turned-ER nurse, he started asking a question nobody around him wanted to answer: why are we treating the result instead of the cause? What followed was years of self-experimentation — continuous glucose monitors, serial lab draws, coronary imaging — on a man who, by every outward measure, looked like a picture of health. What he found in his own bloodwork challenged assumptions held across every nutritional camp.BIG IDEA: As long as diabetes exists, you will have heart disease — no matter how low you drive your LDL.Send Dr. Ovadia a Text Message. Professor Stephen Westaby is a former heart surgeon and writer. During his career he performed over 11,000 operations and pioneered the use of life long artificial hearts as an alternative to donor transplants.Stephen was born in Scunthorpe in 1948 and went to medical school at Charing Cross Hospital in 1966. The following year he suffered a serious head injury during a rugby match which had a major impact on his personality. He changed from being a shy person lacking in confidence into a fearless, ambitious operator – qualities, he believes, made him entirely suited to being a surgeon. In 1981 he took up a Research Fellowship in Alabama with John Kirklin, the first surgeon to successfully perform a series of open-heart operations using a heart-lung machine. During his time there Stephen discovered that medical nylon caused some patients to die of post-perfusion syndrome. Following his discovery, the manufacturers of the equipment removed it from the circuit which led to a substantial drop in cardiac surgical mortality. In 2000 he implanted a revolutionary new heart pump into a man who was terminally ill with heart failure using a device called the Jarvik 2000. Temporary devices – known as bridge to transplant devices – had been used to stabilise patients while they waited for a donor heart but this surgery – transplanting a permanent artificial heart instead of a donor heart was the first of its kind.Stephen retired from the NHS in 2016. The following year he published Fragile Lives: A Heart Surgeon's Stories of Life and Death on the Operating Theatre which won the BMA President's Award.Stephen has two children and lives with his wife in Oxfordshire.DISC ONE: Wonderful Land - The Shadows DISC TWO: Viva La Vida - Coldplay DISC THREE: Baker Street – Gerry Rafferty DISC FOUR: America - Simon & Garfunkel DISC FIVE: Forever Autumn - Justin Hayward DISC SIX: Moonlight Shadow - Mike Oldfield DISC SEVEN: Go Your Own Way - Fleetwood Mac DISC EIGHT: Rachmaninoff: Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Op. 43: Var. 18.
