Email your pictures to orlofsky59@gmail.comSponored by: Menachem JacobsSponsored in honor of Ezra Yosef ben Shmuel Gershon and Shalom Asher ben Shmuel Gershon, my nephews and probably my favorite people, unless my current shidduch works out and I am required to change my answer. (Tefillos to that effect greatly appreciated.) I think my nephews will get a kick out of hearing their names on a podcast, just as soon as they learn to talk. I also wanted to be makir tov and say a tremendous thank you to Rabbi Orlofsky. I recently left yeshiva in Chofitz Chaim and started working full time. (I don't know if Rabbi Orlofsky knows he's told this story, but that's your old stomping grounds!) The transition was difficult for me, and the show-not-a-shiur was very convenient and a great comfort while my schedule swirled chaotically. I am well on my way to becoming a full blown crazy. Please use my real name so that maybe someone will tell my brother I sponsored this in the names of his kids, and he'll offer to split the cost with me. Menachem Mendel ben Elchonon Chaim.

Hey there, Believers! This week's episode is super important, and I hope that you'll share it with everyone you know... I'm bringing on Eric Mock, VP of Slavic Gospel Association, along with Pastor Valenytn, who lives and ministers in Ukraine. Founded in 1934, Slavic Gospel Association (SGA, www.sga.org) helps “forgotten” orphans, widows and families in Ukraine, Russia, the former Soviet countries of Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and Russian-speaking immigrants in Israel – caring for their physical needs and sharing the life-transforming Gospel. SGA supports an extensive grassroots network of local evangelical missionary pastors and churches in cities and rural villages across this vast region. For many Ukrainian children, their earliest memories are marked by war. Summer Camps sponsored by Illinois-based Slavic Gospel Association (SGA) offer them a glimpse of the childhood they were meant to have.Key facts:More than 80,000 children are expected to attend SGA-supported summer Bible camps across Ukraine and the former Soviet Union this year.Since 2022, 279,058 children and teenagers have attended the camps.Camps provide meals, games, friendships, Bible teaching and practical support for children affected by war, displacement, loss, hunger and food insecurity. At one recent camp in southern Ukraine, nearly 100 children knelt in prayer. Some parents were so moved that they joined them.Camp activities continue under the threat of air-raid alerts and missile and drone attacks.God BlessHave an experience that you'd like to share?Holler at me: thebumppodcast@gmail.comFeel led to donate to The BUMP Podcast?Check out www.buymeacoffee.com/thebumppodcastPick up my books!Army of God- https://a.co/d/0S3HttWTerror by Night- https://a.co/d/2tIy8yYMeet all your survival and EDC needs here!www.squatchsurvivalgear.comUse Promo Code BUMP26 to save 15% sitewide! A genetic connective tissue disorder deemed incurable by medicine improved dramatically through carnivore nutrition and structural medicine that conventional practice overlooks.DESCRIPTIONAt 16, Edward Goeke developed debilitating symptoms that left him bedridden: crippling pain whenever he felt emotion, constant tachycardia, and progressive deterioration. For two years, doctors dismissed him. Medications failed. Plant-based eating worsened his condition. By 18, he was losing vision and preparing to die. Then came diagnosis: Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a genetic connective tissue disorder affecting his ligaments throughout his body. Told it was permanent. Told he'd never fully recover. But something shifted when he eliminated plant foods entirely and adopted a carnivore diet. Combined with targeted structural therapies—PRP prolotherapy and deep tissue tendon needling—his symptoms stabilized, then reversed. Now 22, he walks, trains, and functions normally. More provocatively, he's built a research-backed argument that "genetic" and "incurable" aren't the same thing, and that nutritional intervention can fundamentally alter gene expression.Edward's now creating content to challenge mainstream health dogma, particularly for younger audiences conditioned to accept conventional medicine's failures as inevitable.Edward Goeke: ContraindicatedYouTube: Edward A. We'd love to hear from you. Send us fan mail! Most leaders don't stay stuck because they lack skill, they stay stuck because of an authentic leadership identity they haven't claimed yet. Have you ever heard of vaginal steaming… and thought… Wait… women are doing WHAT now? Or maybe you've heard it called yoni steaming, womb steaming, V-steaming — and you've felt curious… but also a little unsure. Today on I Love Me The Podcast I want to lovingly demystify this ancient women's practice, share why it's making such a powerful comeback, and introduce you to Pelvic Steam Therapy — a holistic approach I've created that takes vaginal steaming far beyond the physical… into emotional, energetic and subconscious healing. If you've ever struggled with painful periods, hormonal imbalance, fertility challenges, pelvic pain, gynaecological issues or difficulty through the peri menopause years — or if you simply want to feel more at home in your body — this episode is for you. You can take a peek at the full episode show notes (and resources I refer to in the show) here: https://gettingnaked.com.au/2026/07/29/97-vaginal-steaming-ancient-wisdom-for-modern-womens-health/ Resources… Pelvic Steam Therapy: If you'd like to learn how to steam your pelvis, you can read the details for my program here: https://gettingnaked.com.au/pelvic-steam-therapy/ Vaginismus free HEAL Guide: https://gettingnaked.com.au/vaginismus/ Ep.20 Journaling. The Cheapest Therapy Around. https://gettingnaked.com.au/2024/06/19/ep-20-journaling-the-cheapest-therapy-around/ About me… Hi, I'm Tamra Mercieca, a Women's Mental & Pelvic Health Therapist, and host of I Love Me The Podcast. For 20+ years I've been teaching people worldwide how to heal depression and anxiety naturally, strengthen pelvic health, and cultivate radical self-love. In 2011, I founded Getting Naked, an online school offering resources and programs that help people strip away limiting beliefs and childhood conditioning so they can feel confident, connected, free in their bodies and able to love and accept themselves unconditionally. Alongside being a mum, wife, tea lover, and drummer, I'm qualified in more than a dozen holistic healing modalities. I've written two books, been published worldwide (print, TV, radio, etc), and often share my passion for self-love, mental health and pelvic wellbeing at yoga and spirituality festivals. My own journey began when I learned how to overcome suicidal depression and anxiety without medication. From that, I created a ten-session self-love therapy program that now helps others do the same. On the podcast, I share personal stories, tools and science-backed down-to-earth practices for emotional healing, women's health, and living with more joy and freedom. May you feel more whole and more complete, by simply tuning in! When The Dark Knight Rises came out in 2012, expectations were sky high. After all, Christopher Nolan had shattered all box office records and blown critics away with The Dark Knight… what would he be doing now to dazzle audiences everywhere? Maybe it's inevitable that the reception would be mixed. For the first time in his career, a Nolan movie was given generally negative reviews. And while it ultimately made more money worldwide than The Dark Knight did, it didn't become the biggest movie of all time. Earlier that year, in fact, The Avengers had pulled that off, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe's reign had officially begun. Nolan said the only reason he would ever consider making a sequel to The Dark Knight was if he came up with a story that was so good it justified its own existence. So… does The Dark Knight Rises do that? Laci thinks so; Matt doesn't. In this episode, 1-Week Rental takes you behind the scenes of The Dark Knight Rises to give you the story of how Nolan developed this idea along with his collaborator David Goyer and his brother Jonah. Then, how Bane was selected as the villain, and how world events like Occupy Wall Street gave the film a fortuitous sense of timing. But is Nolan giving himself too much credit by saying Bane foreshadowed Donald Trump? What exactly is Nolan saying in this movie, anyway? And is he trying to say one thing but accidentally saying something else, instead? Then, Laci and Matt review The Dark Knight Rises. Is Bane ultimately a letdown? Would the Joker have made more sense carrying out Bane's exact plan? Anne Hathaway is excellent as Selina Kyle, but does her character make sense? And is Marion Cotillard as "Miranda Tate" the least developed of all of Nolan's female characters? All this and more in a supersized episode as the podcast concludes its coverage of Nolan's trilogy of Batman films. Your body cannot release stored fat or heal itself when it perceives threat; gratitude is the measurable physiological switch that lowers cortisol, raises oxytocin, and allows metabolic transformation.DESCRIPTIONBen Azadi lost 80 pounds and reversed suicidal depression through metabolic healing. His father wasn't as fortunate—a preventable decline into type 2 diabetes, neuropathy, and stroke in 2014. That loss forged his purpose: reach one billion people and reverse type 2 diabetes in a million within a decade. But Azadi's message diverges sharply from the biohacking mainstream. While cold plunges and red light have their place, they're secondary. The foundation is unglamorous: gratitude, sunlight, grounding—all free, all measurable in blood work and heart rate variability. The science is stark: stress elevates cortisol; cortisol packs visceral fat around your organs. Gratitude does the inverse. Peer-reviewed research shows intentional gratitude practices reduce all-cause mortality by 9 percent and cardiovascular death by 15 percent.KetoFlex Revised, his new book, merges this psychological work with metabolic flexibility—teaching your body to burn fat instead of remaining locked into sugar dependence. His thesis: most people major in the minors, chasing complexity while overlooking what actually works.Ben Azadi Contact Info:https://KetoFlexBook.comSocial Media LinksInstagram: instagram.com/thebenazadiFacebook: facebook.com/thebenazadiYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@KetoKampTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@thebenazadiSend Dr. Ovadia a Text Message. This week is a fit check. Sort of ... This week is all about the ways that we choose to present ourselves to the world. Whether we are looking for affirmation or planning to go against societal expectations. Bring a hat by Sam Elkin Our first story was originally Performed as part of QueerStories live storytelling event in Mparntwe last year. Sam explores a space between gender affirming care and hair … or hair loss. Written and performed by Sam Elkin Special thanks to NTWF and 8CCC 102.1fm. The Clippers by Mel Bakewell Sometimes hair as a social symbol is just a little too much to bear, and maybe its better to go against expectations and just chop it all off. Produced by Mel Bakewell Music: Myrian by Blue Dot Sessions The Subtle Art of Chill Guy Nicknames by Jay De Leon Lagman But it's not just all about who has hair and who doesn’t. Sometimes it's just the way you present yourself to the world. And the way the world lays claim to you in response with ancient art of nicknames. Movies are dreams, and directors are like the ultimate dreamweavers, if you think about it. Christopher Nolan certainly thinks so, and in his most autobiographical movie, he has Leonardo DiCaprio play man named Dom Cobb (come on, that's not a real name) who is dressed and styled to look a lot like Christopher Nolan, and he must assemble a team of creatives to help a billionaire in his feud with another billionaire. But actually, it's a movie about uncertainty. No one ever really knows whether they're in a dream, or in the Matrix, or being controlled by a demon. And when you understand that the movie is actually about giving you the experience of living with uncertainty, a lot clicks into place. Or at least it did for Matt. Laci might need to watch Inception a few more times. Before the movie discussion of Inception, Laci and Matt take you behind the scenes, giving a look at the evolution of Inception from Nolan's days as a student at uni all the way to the final version that made nearly a billion dollars at the box office. Have you ever noticed that sometimes, even when life seems fine, something inside you still feels tense, guarded, or off? Maybe you feel a little anxious, or assume you're just ‘overthinking' things. That's your body whispering the truth: It doesn't feel safe. When we don't feel safe, it isn't just a mental thing. It lives in our bodies. It lives in the way we hold our pelvis, the tightness in our hips, the subtle tension in our womb, the shallow breath that keeps us from fully relaxing. It shapes how we move, how we speak, and how we show up in our lives. That's why today on I Love Me The Podcast, we're talking about safety. What it really means to feel safe inside… How not feeling safe shows up in your body and your behaviour… And most importantly — how to rebuild that safety, from the inside out. For twenty years, Kelsey Buchalter cycled through hospitals, medications, and every conventional treatment psychiatry could offer for anorexia, bulimia, and anxiety. None of it touched the underlying problem. What finally did was a single instruction from a nutritionist: eat only red meat and eggs for ten days. Now a health coach at Ovadia Heart Health, Kelsey sits down with Dr. Philip Ovadia and Jack Heald to trace the biological mechanism behind that shift, and to challenge a premise most mental health treatment never questions: that the mind can be repaired while the body remains inflamed and malnourished. She draws a sharp distinction between disordered eating and dietary intervention, one that has nothing to do with what's on the plate and everything to do with why it's there. The conversation moves through decision fatigue, the vagus nerve's surprising link to the human voice, and the difference between healing from fear versus healing from self-respect. It is a story about what happens when biology gets treated before anyone tries to talk the mind into changing.BIG IDEABefore psychology can do its work, biology has to be stabilized first, and for Kelsey Buchalter, that meant confronting the idea that her mental illness was never a character flaw but a body in crisis.kelsey buchalterinstagram: kelseybuchalterPodcast: The Human TheaterSend Dr. Ovadia a Text Message. It is the night before the Celtic Festival of Beltane, an ancient May Day ritual where the otherworldly realm draws close. As Druids march, dark spirits rise in the shadows—only to be conquered by the brilliance of light. Young maidens hang festive boughs while blindfolded boys meet on the drumlins to eat charcoal-marked ember cakes. One unlucky fellow drawing the stained piece must leap the bonfire flames three times to satisfy ancient tradition. Thus begins The Eve of Beltane, a mesmerizing new play by today's guest, Coni Koepfinger (Playwright, Poet, & Yogi). Few movies have penetrated the general pop culture landscape like Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight. And few characters have resonated the way the Joker, as brought to life by Heath Ledger, did when Nolan's movie came out in the summer of 2008 and became the biggest movie of all time. For their 200th episode, Matt and Laci dive deep—and I mean deep—into The Dark Knight. And in a surprise that could have been conceived by the Joker himself, it turns out Laci loves this movie. Matt, meanwhile, continues to feel extremely mixed about all three of Nolan's Batman movies—there's so much to love, and so much more to be confused and baffled by. For the history segment, the podcast goes behind the scenes to talk about the casting of Heath Ledger and his process for becoming the Joker. Ledger famously isolated himself in a hotel room for a month, journaling his weird thoughts to turn into a version of the Crown Prince of Crime we'd never seen before. We also talk about the history of the Joker as a character, going all the way back to the 1940s. What exactly is it about the Joker that appeals to so many people? And, even putting aside the tragic circumstances behind Ledger's performance, what about the Nolan Joker resonated with so many people? Then, we talk for two hours about the movie itself, celebrating what we love, rubbing our temples about what we hate, and ultimately trying to figure out what exactly Bruce Wayne believes. How has he become so enchanted by a tough-on-crime prosecutor? Isn't Harvey Dent just Rudy Giuliani, but handsome? And the Joker's philosophy was extremely appealing to people, but does it actually make sense? We spend a lot of time unpacking it, and theorizing about where the Joker would have gone in a sequel, and if he would have done some maturing in between movies. If we have a contrarian take on The Dark Knight, it is this: The Joker isn't a reaction to Batman, he's a reaction to Bruce Wayne. Bruce Wayne rules the world of this movie so insivisbly that he poisons everything without anyone noticing. Cardiac imaging expert Kim Mischo spent 20 years inside the cardiology machine — running nuclear stress tests that told patients they were fine, then watching some of those patients have heart attacks the following week. She knew the system was broken long before she could prove it.Now she can prove it.A non-invasive scan exists that can detect coronary artery disease at 5% blockage — before symptoms, before a stress test would ever flag anything. It's been guideline-recommended since 2021. It's 99% accurate. And insurance won't cover it.The reason why is the part of this conversation that will stay with you.Dr. Philip Ovadia and Kim Mischo walk through the technology, the economics, and the quiet institutional logic that keeps a life-saving diagnostic tool out of reach for most Americans — while a far less accurate, far more expensive alternative continues to dominate cardiology practices nationwide. This is a conversation about what early detection of heart disease could look like, and why it doesn't yet.BIG IDEABetween 50 and 60 percent of patients die from their first heart attack — which means the insurance company never had to pay a single claim related to their coronary disease.Kim Mischo Contact Info: Website: https://clearheartandlung.com/Send Dr. Ovadia a Text Message. On October 30, 1975, fifteen-year-old Martha Moxley failed to return home after a night out with friends in Belle Haven, an exclusive wealthy enclave in Greenwich, CT. The following morning, Moxley's badly beaten body was discovered underneath a tree, just a few hundred feet from her house, triggering one of the most notorious murder mysteries in the state's history.
