Here comes the bride! Andrew's bride, that is! In this episode, Andrew shares the story of his wedding day with Kassy and our listeners. In our Simplified Speech series, native English speakers have clear and natural conversations on common topics. These episodes are designed to boost your English listening skills and increase your vocabulary. On occasion, our hosts share their personal stories, making it easy to listen to these English audio lessons. Fun facts In the Hindu tradition, rain on your wedding day is actually considered good luck. The rain predicts a long, happy marriage because a wet knot is difficult to untie. In this new segment from your friends at the North Side Sox Podcast, we invite you to get to know the guys of the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers, the White Sox Low-A affiliate in the East League. We're especially excited to bring you a hometown guy for our inaugural episode: Ballers third baseman DJ Gladney. The 19-year-old (soon to be 20) was drafted by the White Sox in the 16th round in 2019 out of Illiana Christian High School in Lansing, Ill. DJ is also an alum of the ACE (Amateur City Elite) program, run by the White Sox, which encourages the participation of underserved youth from Chicago (and the suburbs) in baseball. The ACE program offers the support, structure, and exposure young talent may not have access to, and also aims to help reverse and correct the trend of reduced participation by African-Americans in baseball. We asked DJ: To bring us into his day-to-day as a young minor leaguer — traveling, workouts, pregame rituals, and Zaxby's and Mortal Kombat on days off His experience being mentored and coming up through the ACE program To reflect on his game, and what kind of player he is, and what he'd like to become What it was like growing up as a White Sox fan, and his favorite player as a kid! His thoughts on the big league club, and some reflection on Andrew Vaughn's admiration from 2018 What it was like having his career disrupted by a global pandemic, and how he stayed sharp for the 2021 season We also asked him about any hobbies he might have picked up in 2020, and he shared that he writes and records his own music — experimenting with Pro Tools for beats, but writing flows with some allusions to baseball. # Jeden Tag ein Set Podcast 066 # by Dj To. Viel Spaß mit DJ To.! Dj To. findest du unter @dj-to-nbg Noch mehr Sets findest du auf www.JedenTagEinSet.de

If you could eternally be stuck in one year's music scene, which year would it be & why? I think the 00s. Music was raw and skills either as a dj or producer mattered. 2.) What single night out has been the most memorable for you? As a DJ? As an attendee? As a clubber i will never forget Derick May during WMC in 2007, cant recall the venue. The night easily could turn into a riot when he played last track of his set, crowd was yelling not to stop but in south beach the closing times are different from down town. After all the yelling and shouting he dropped one more but after seconds of it, bouncers went on him. Amazing night! As a dj? pfff honestly too many to remember but will always remember my last tour in brazil and my morning gig in Dirtybird Campout 3.) What is one track that never gets old to you no matter how many times you play it? Rhythim Is Rhythim - Strings Of Life 4.) If you could produce a track with anyone right now who would it be? There are so many good artists around but i think Claude Von Stroke would be my first choice 5.) What advice would you give to an aspiring DJ? To have faith and never stop working hard. 6.) If you could choose any venue or location to perform at where would it be? Id really like to play at a boat party. Havent played yet and really looking forward. 7.) What animal best describes you? The mule. Im persistent and peaceful but if u nag me a lot youll get a kick in your sweeties 8.) Name one thing you do aside from music that keeps you sane? Growing up my kids. 9.14.18
