Gorillaz stopped by the KROQ studio today to talk about their new album The Mountain. Not only did we learn frontman Damon has no cellphone, the interview ended with Jamie complimenting Klein on his jacket, which quickly led to Jamie wearing and promptly leaving with Klein's jacket, just as it started pouring rain. See the video on IG @kleinallyshow! We also heard about times you came across unexpected money in the Dough-lympics, and Klein shared another fail with his kids having to do with the tooth fairy. (if you thought klein had bad handwriting, you gotta see his cursive) Jake also began a social experiment to see how many days in a row he can get a free donut at Krispy Kreme. If you think it was easy, you are correct!
Hidden Killers With Tony Brueski | True Crime News & Commentary
You knew. Somewhere underneath the hoping and the trying — you knew this wasn't going to end well. And you stayed anyway. Not because you were stupid. Because the truth was unsurvivable.Rob and Michele Reiner weren't naive. Rob directed films for forty years. He understood how stories telegraph their endings. These were not people who got fooled easily. And yet they built frameworks that kept them close to a son who was destroying them.First: trust the professionals. Then: the professionals are wrong. Then: redemption through art — a movie made together, press tours about healing. Then: he just needs more support. A guesthouse. Closer supervision. Each framework had its own logic. Each one kept them in the room. The lies follow patterns. "This time is different" — resetting after every relapse. "Nobody understands them like I do" — making yourself essential to the rescue. "They didn't mean it" — reframing cruelty as symptom. "If I stop, I'm the bad one" — making your limits the enemy.Nick destroyed his parents' guesthouse. Stole pills from sick people. Admitted to gaming every rehab. Convinced his father to make a movie portraying himself as the villain. And still the narrative remained: he's not bad, he's sick. These lies aren't stupidity. They're survival mechanisms. Stories your brain builds to keep functioning when reality becomes unbearable.Rob said at that party he was petrified of his son. That's not full denial. That's a man who sees the truth and is trying to survive it anyway. Knowing and accepting are different things. You can know something and still not act — because acting means letting go of the last hope that makes your world bearable. You weren't foolish for believing the lies. You were surviving. They were the only tools you had.Forgive them. Forgive yourself. And start telling a different story.#RobReiner #NickReiner #MicheleSingerReiner #ReinerCase #TrueCrime #Denial #AddictionFamily #SurvivalMechanisms #LovingSomeoneDangerous #CodependencyJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Seven years ago, Zac Clark walked into a treatment center to speak at a Tuesday night meeting – and met a guy in pajama pants wearing a “Grateful Dead” tee who had no idea if he was going to make it.That guy was Blake Porter. In this episode, Zac and Jay sit down with Blake – now Vice President of Business Development at Release Recovery – to trace the full arc: growing up in a small town in upstate New York, the fear and insecurity that shadowed his talent, the slow slide from booze and cocaine into opioids and heroin, and the moment his dad found a needle and the truth finally had nowhere to hide.Blake opens up about what early sobriety actually looked like: structure, accountability, humility, and the near-relapse that still scares him to remember – five months sober, back home, texting a dealer from a hotel bathroom… right up until something intervened and he chose honesty instead.Topics include:The AA meeting in treatment that changed everythingSmall-town upbringing, big fear, and the need to escapeAddiction, grief, and the cost of avoiding painThe truth-telling moment with Blake's dadWhy Release Recovery felt like “home”A near-relapse story that shows how real the obsession can beBuilding a life (and career) rooted in serviceIf you're trying to get sober right now, Blake's message is simple – and it might save your life: be honest.

The Senior Care Industry Netcast w/ Valerie V RN BSN & Dawn Fiala
Send a textGrowth stalls when great clients arrive and caregiver applications vanish. We tackle that crunch head-on with a practical, fast-moving playbook to recruit exceptional caregivers in a competitive market—and to keep them after day one. We start by naming the seasonal dip few talk about: tax refunds and school breaks reduce both applications and availability every spring. The fix is to prepare early and compress the entire hiring cycle, so motivated candidates choose your agency within days, not weeks. We walk through a two-day job fair strategy designed less for foot traffic and more for urgency. Promoting on job boards, social, and text lists with “interviews on site” sparks immediate requests to interview now. Pair that momentum with a text-first workflow: a short form screens deal breakers, candidates self-book interviews 24/7, and you run a thorough phone interview without forcing duplicate applications. If they're a fit, invite them to a single in-person orientation where you complete paperwork, run a quick drug screen and background check, teach core skills, and—crucially—hand them initial hours before they leave the building. You'll also get the interview frameworks and ad tactics that separate you from the crowd. We break down open-ended, behavioral, and situational questions that reveal values, reliability, and judgment. Then we show how to write caregiver ads that convert by leading with benefits, not rules: flexible schedules, earned wage access, holiday differentials, paid training, and real 24/7 support. Use our headline formula and include pay ranges to increase clicks, then refresh weekly to stay visible. Finally, plan your funnel with clear math: to hire five, target forty applicants, twenty interviews, and ten orientations.Retention ties it all together. The first 90 days make or break loyalty, so commit to weekly, human check-ins that ask about their experience and solve problems fast. Add meaningful recognition, a simple caregiver newsletter, and mentor support to build community that lasts. Subscribe, share this with an owner who needs a recruiting reset, and leave a quick review telling us which tactic you'll implement this week.Continuum Mastery Circle IntroVisit our website at https://asnhomecaremarketing.comGet Your 11 Free Home Care Marketing Guides: https://bit.ly/homecarerev

Do you remember the early days of your career? You likely spent hours coding late into the night, fueled not by a paycheck, but by the sheer joy of building. But somewhere along the way, that intrinsic fire faded, replaced by the extrinsic motivators of Jira tickets, performance reviews, and ultimately the almighty dollar. In this episode of the Career Growth Accelerator, I explore why this shift happens and how it might be the very thing keeping you stuck. We discuss the "Overjustification Effect"—how getting paid for your passion can actually degrade your performance—and how to reclaim the autotelic personality required to enter a flow state and accelerate your career.• The Overjustification Effect: Learn why introducing extrinsic rewards (like a salary) for a task you inherently enjoy can weaken or completely replace your intrinsic motivation, eventually making the work feel like a chore.• The Loss of Flow: Discover how moving from hobbyist to professional changes your relationship with the work, often stripping away the conditions necessary for "flow state," such as risk-taking and immediate feedback.• Autotelic Personality: Understand the concept of being "autotelic"—doing something for its own sake—and why this trait is critical for high-quality, creative work that pushes your career forward.• The Stagnation Trap: Recognize that if your only motivation is doing what is required to get paid, you are unlikely to take on the voluntary challenges necessary to grow to the next level.• Reclaiming Your Drive: I discuss how finding pockets of intrinsic motivation—even if they are ancillary to your main job—can reignite your ability to enter flow, improve your work quality, and break through career plateaus.

Using deceit to manipulate outcomes promises to give, but it only takes. It takes advantage of people. It takes the Lord's name in vain. It takes matters into our own hands. It takes the blessing out of the blessing. But whatever deceit takes, God gives more through Jesus.
