Ahead of tonight's GW15 Deadline it's a top 4 Clash of the Correspondents as James is joined by Aston Villa fan Lee Jackson and Manchester City fan Jonny Pringle to discuss the latest at their clubs and preview the Wednesday night meeting at Villa Park. Villa could go above City with victory and then face Arsenal next, could they mount an unlikely title challenge if this week goes well? But it's been 3 consecutive draws for City in which they led in each game. Is this a bump in the road or should we be concerned about City's form? There's FPL chat on Villa assets ahead of the all important Blank Gameweek 18 featuring discussion on Matty Cash, Moussa Diaby and Ollie Watkins in particular. While for City, following the trip to Villa their fixture schedule is extremely attractive, but they don't play in the Blank. There's coverage on Erling Haaland, Julian Alvarez, Phil Foden and if any of the defensive assets can be considered. Plus, with Jack Grealish and crucially Rodri suspended for Wednesday's game, are City in for a rough night on Wednesday?

James is joined by Manchester City fan Jonny Pringle and Brighton fan Sam Murray on Clash of the Correspondents to discuss all the latest at their clubs ahead of Saturday's meeting at The Etihad. Have Brighton been distracted by European involvement and should the heavy GW7 defeat at Aston Villa be considered a one-off? Plus, all the important FPL discussion covered, including the prospect of going without Erling Haaland and whether he remains the best choice for captaincy this week, longer-term prospects for Julian Alvarez, John Stones' return and Brighton's excellent fixture swing, but will anyone get enough minutes to make them worthwhile and is Kaoru Mitoima one of those who should be invested in? After Manchester City's unfortunate defeat at Arsenal, David Mooney is joined by City fans Richard Burns and Sam Roscoe to discuss the talking points... Life without Rodri is hard, Kovacic is a very lucky boy, and the approach to the game might not have been the worst thing in the world (until viewed after the loss). Also on the show, we're taking a look at goalkeepers who weren't where you'd expect them to be. Sam's been focusing on the times outfielders have ended up between the sticks and the times when goalies have been let loose outfield. With the Etihad announced as one of the venues for Euro 2028, we'll look at some of the international games played on that ground already - plus we take some time to look at City matches that were abandoned and the best entrance music for the team. ========== To get bonus podcasts or to listen without the ads, join our Patreon: http://www.patreon.com/BlueMoonPodcast

Adam Leventhal returns as he does every Friday to preview the weekend's football. The showcase this week: a clash between last season's top two, as Arsenal host Manchester City. Can Arsenal snap their 12 (twelve!) game losing streak to the Citizens? Will Bukayo Saka be fit enough to play? And could the suspended Rodri be a game-changer? These are just some of the questions Adam and co will try to find answers to. Also on the docket, following Jurgen Klopp's replay wishes after an incorrect VAR call against his side, we're reviewing which games our panelists would like to do over again. After a defeat at Wolves and a win at RB Leipzig, David Mooney is joined by Adam Carter from StatCity.co.uk and Dom Farrell from Sporting News to discuss the major talking points. They focus on Rico Lewis after his excellent midweek performance and there's a look at how City can solve the Rodri problem. Does City's set-up change dramatically with a difference in players available? We discuss ball-carrying players vs. controlling players - and we look at how injuries and suspensions have forced Guardiola's hand on that in the last week. Is City's squad too small? We look into that, too, as the manager has been speaking about that - and that leads us into previewing the upcoming tie with Arsenal. How will City look to get the better of the Gunners. The writer and football historian, Gary James, is also on the show, as we pay tribute to the City legend Francis Lee, who died this week. ========== To get bonus podcasts or to listen without the ads, join our Patreon: http://www.patreon.com/BlueMoonPodcast
