Topics include our general thoughts on Tom Cruise/Cameron Crowe, how popular music is used in film and how badass James Gunn's THE SUICIDE SQUAD will probably be. Oh and there's a tangent about SOUTHLAND TALES...the movie we were originally going to cover but didn't...because it sucks. But, VANILLA SKY doesn't. You gotta listen to find out why. Collin has some serious beef with Apple this week which is weird since he's a pretty big fan of their stuff. To be fair though, it's with Face ID which does kind of suck. But to make matters worse, not only is Collin not happy with Apple, they announced a product cancellation and Netflix isn't making Apple's user's lives any easier. Maybe this week will be better.Meanwhile, at the movies, James Gunn's The Suicide Squad made headlines this week with some casting news and Rian Johnson makes us wonder if he understands Star Wars. Correction. We wonder if he even likes Star Wars. And Shazam! is performing better than anyone expected, both critically and at the box office. Have you seen it yet? What did you think? Was there any doubt what we'd be talking about on this week's show? But is CAPTAIN MARVEL the hero audiences want to see save the day? Is Marvel's first solo female lead all that it deserves to be? I'll be joined by Jeff Lyles of Lyles' Movie Files and Mae Abdulbaki to break it all down. Plus, James Gunn's THE SUICIDE SQUAD is shaping up to be something entirely different; Marvel's BLACK WIDOW is casting up, and there's a #SnyderCut out there, ya'll!
