This week Zach is joined by Matt Latham from Pick A Disc to discuss the one hundred eighty second episode of Smallville, “Pandora." They talk how this episode lines up continuity-wise with "Savior," the Kandorians using a red sun to both give themselves powers and take away Clark's, Lois not figuring out that Clark is The Blur, and the unintended implications of these memories from the future being from Lois' POV. We could all die tomorrow, so listen to the latest Always Hold On To Smallville today!Check out Matt's podcast Pick A Disc.EPISODE ROUNDUPZach's Grade: C-Tricia's Grade: C-IMDB Grade: 8.8Superman Homepage Grade: 1/5 Bechdel Test: FAILSERIES TALLY BOARD...From Metropolis: 17Amazing Technicolor Kryptonite: 15Amnesia Count: 69 Blue Shirt/Red Jacket: 89Chloe's Unseen Connections: 29Clark Loses His Powers: 15Episode Title Said In Episode: 73Hospital Visits: 141In Media Res: 7Injection Count: 54Kent Truck Accidents: 10KOs to Keep Clark's Secret: 56KOs to Keep Oliver's Secret: 3Lana Kills: 7Let's Do The Time Warp Again: 9Lois Arm Punches: 10Lois' Costume Closet: 11Main Character Deaths: 23Mind Control Count: 25Movie Plot As An Episode: 21Not The Last Son Of Krypton: 45Possession Count: 27Product Placement Pete: 30Queen Airways: 8Shirtless Oliver: 9Shower Count: 23Shut It Down: 10Shut That Laptop: 33Smallville High School Faculty Deaths: 5Smallville High School Student Deaths: 17Under The Influence: 37Wakes Up Tied Up: 11Weddings: 4"You Weren't Yourself": 37Always Hold On To Smallville is brought you to by listeners like you. Welcome back, Kandorians. Now that was definitely a penultimate episode. Things look dire for Seg and company as General Zod unleashes his new secret weapon, Doomsday. By episode’s end the resistance loses a very valuable player. RIP Kem. It’s a bad day all-around for the resistance as they’re forced to evacuate Wegthor entirely. Meanwhile, Lyta’s sudden “resurrection” causes confusion for two Sagittari. Hit play and listen in as Brad and Cort break down Ep 2x09 "Blood Moon". That title and the fact that this was the last episode before the season finale left little doubt that could be losing yet another fan favorite. The better question was “who” we could be losing. Val? Nyssa? Adam? These seemed to be the characters under the most dire threat. Then it became more and more evident that Kem would go out like the badass he has always been. What did you think of his arc this season and his sacrifice? The women on this show continue to shine and kick all kinds of ass. Nyssa was amazing and left me worried we’d lose her. Also, how about our favorite Primus reminding those Sagittari what a true leader she has always been? Welcome back, Kandorians. Is this real life? Is Lyta Zod truly gone? It would seem so. The show wasted no time in putting us out of our collective misery after last week's cliffhanger. We get a glimpse of Lyta's lifeless body at the top of the episode before she's covered up. How in the world was that only an hour? So much happened!Hit play and listen in as Brad and Cort break down Ep 2x06 "In Zod We Trust". Seg and Jayna spend much of the episode grieving for their loved one. Dev is horrified to find out the truth about the change in Lyta's personality. Seg doesn't have time to fully indulge in his grief. He needs to help Nyssa rescue their son and there's still the matter of Brainiac taking up residence in his head. Can Seg continue to utilize Brainiac's skills without giving over control? How awesome was Val's speech? Definitely on par with the rousing "Independence Day" and "Braveheart" speechifying, amirite? What exactly is Dru-Zod up to? Well, besides the whole plan to dominate the entire universe.Give us a listen and then be sure to drop a comment or in our Facebook group with your thoughts on Ep 2×06 “In Zod We Trust”. Welcome back, Kandorians. Seg and Adam are back on Krypton, but they don't remain together for long. Seg believes that he can reason with Dru-Zod. Plus he was off-planet for quite some time, so it only makes sense that reconnecting with Lyta is at the top of his list. Hit play and listen in as Brad and Cort break down Ep 2x04, "Danger Close". Like Dev, we couldn't help but notice the drastic change that has come over Lyta this season. It doesn't take Seg very long to figure out that things aren't quite right. There are gaps in her memory and she's acting way out of character. Seg takes action and confirms the truth. Dru-Zod has been reprogramming Lyta to go along with his plan to stamp out the resistance and remake the galaxy in his image. He wants to be a god and sees no reason why either of his parents should get in his way. Things didn't look so good for Seg when they managed to get him in that chair. Thankfully (?) his dark passenger helped throw off the attempted re-programming. Did you suspect that Seg hadn't quite gotten rid of Brainiac? Will Jayna or Seg be able to reverse the damage done to Lyta? What happens now that Lyta is on Wegthor and facing off with the resistance? Lobo has to make an appearance again soon, right?Give us a listen and then be sure to drop a comment or in our Facebook group with your thoughts on Ep 2×04 “Danger Close”. Welcome back, Kandorians. This week, Krypton gives us a crash course on our favorite new “main man”, Lobo (Emmett J. Scanlan). Seg and Adam met the bounty hunter very briefly at the end of last week’s premiere when he knocked the duo out. Lobo’s…intense and it’s clear to see exactly why SYFY is already developing a series around this character. Brainiac isn’t quite as dead as Seg believed. Nyssa must help Dru-Zod if she wants her son back. Will she see it through?Hit play and listen in as Brad and Cort break down Ep 2×02, “Ghost in the Fire”. Jayna Zod lives! Of course, we knew they couldn’t kill off this badass lady for real. What did you think of her journey in this episode and her companion? Seg and Brainiac make for an interesting mix. There’s no way Seg can go home until he can take care of his unwelcome passenger. Are we set to see Seg and Adam exploring other worlds until they can figure out their Brainiac problem? Were you surprised to see Dev and Jayna meet up at the end of the episode? Is Lyta simply dealing with her grief and guilt in some truly dark ways or is she on board with Dru-Zod’s plans for a new legacy? Was Seg kinda extra hot with those dark eyes at the end of the episode? Just me. Welcome back, Kandorians. Krypton has finally returned after leaving us on that wild cliffhanger from the season one finale. Tonight's premiere, "Light-Years From Home" drops us into a much-changed Kandor. General Dru-Zod has been busy in the months since Seg trapped himself and Brainiac in the Phantom Zone. Lyta has fallen in line with her son. Oh, how this character has changed from where she first started out last season. Hit play and listen in as Brad and Cort break down Ep 2x01, "Light-Years From Home".  First, were you as pumped as Brad to see our new favorite character, Lobo? We recorded before today, but how awesome is the news that Syfy is developing a Lobo-centric Krypton spin-off? Besides, meeting the badass bounty hunter, this episode puts Seg through it. Those Phantom Zone visions are no joke. Then he ends up on a road trip with the most unlikely of partners. How cool was it to see him reunited with Adam? Meanwhile, Seg's grandfather, Val-El is back in the flesh and helping Jax-Ur lead the resistance? Do they have what it takes to succeed against Dru-Zod and Lyta? Is Lyta somehow playing the long game and acting as some kind of double agent for the resistance? Or has Seg's love gone over to the dark side?Give us a listen and then be sure to drop a comment or in our Facebook group with your thoughts on Ep 2x01 “Light-Years From Home". Welcome back, Kandorians. First, we get the amazing news that the show has been renewed for season two. Then they deliver a kickass finale to show exactly why that renewal was much deserved. Ep 1x10, "The Phantom Zone," takes us on one helluva ride as Seg and company take a final stand against Brainiac. Lyta returns to the Sagitari to ready the fleeing troops. Seg tries to get as many Kandorians away before the city ends up among Brainiac's collection. Nyssa is on her own mission to preserve the future of her line with Seg. Hit play and listen in as Brad and Cort break down the season finale, 1x10, "The Phantom Zone".  You've gotta let us know if you're on the same wavelength with our joint theory as to where and when Adam landed after the explosion. Looks like Jayna was right about her grandson, General Zod was up to no good. What do you think Zod's reveal to Seg means. Seg wasn't in Lyta or Zod's life because he was bottled up by Brainiac. Then the cape starts to re-form once Seg is being sucked into the Phantom Zone. Is Cor-Vex actually Jor-El? Did Adam land in an alternate timeline/Krypton? General Zod is totally next season's big bad. How do we get Seg back without setting Brainiac loose and who stands to do more damage next season, Zod or Doomsday? Welcome back, Kandorians. In ep 1x09, "Hope," the pieces are set for the upcoming season finale. All is not well with the House of Zod. General Zod talked Lyta into going behind Seg and Jayna's backs to unleash Doomsday. Thankfully, there was already a contingency plan in place. As it turns out, Seg isn't the only one with a surprise reveal up his sleeve. When questioned about how he expects to open the entrance to Doomsday's cell without Seg's blood, General Zod reveals the fact that Seg is his father. Hit play and listen in as Brad and Cort break down ep 1x09, "Hope".  It looks like the show is moving full steam ahead with this love triangle as Seg and Lyta are on opposite sides.  That was totally Jayna's long-lost brother that showed up at the end of the episode to rescue his injured sister, right? Also, Brainiac has arrived. Does Kandor stand a chance or will Adam get what he wanted after all? Speaking of...where is Adam? Welcome back, Kandorians. In ep 1x06, "Civil Wars," Adam Strange reveals the shocking truth. Lyta is the mother to General Zod himself. The twists just keep coming and we cannot get enough. Seg is not very happy with his new time-traveling buddy when he finds out the truth about Krypton's fate. With all the talk about saving Seg's future grandson, he never did mention the fact that Krypton explodes in a few hundred years. Oops. Clearly, Seg joins with Lyta and her son's plan to save Kandor from Brainiac. Hit play and listen in as Brad and Cort break down this week’s all-new episode, "Civil Wars".

Welcome back, Kandorians. In ep 1x05, "House of Zod," Jayna finds herself at war with her need to uphold her family's honor and saving Lyta from execution. Thankfully, Jayna relents at the last moment and aligns herself with House Vex. She decides to help Nyssa with the plan to overthrow the Voice of Rao. Adam teams up with a newly freed Lyta to rescue Seg-El.  Lyta's lover briefly escapes his captors, but finds himself strapped back to that chair once more. Hit play and listen in as Brad and Cort break down this week’s all-new episode, "House of Zod." Okay, what's the deal with Lyta's son from the future? Did he travel to the past on a Zeta-Beam like Adam Strange or are there some other timey-wimey things happening? What did Riker mean when he said that Seg's new friend was their key to stopping Brainiac?  We didn't get to see the Voice of Rao this week, but that confrontation between whatever he's become and his disloyal subjects has to be coming soon, right? Welcome back, Kandorians. This week, Seg and Adam are on the hunt for Brainiac's probe before it can infect anyone. She totally gets gypped by one of the vendors, but that's a whole other episode. It does help that Adam ends up stealing the device from that same vendor.  While the boys are trying to stop Rhom before she can send a signal to Brainiac, Lyta Zod takes on her first mission as a Commander. Hit play and listen in as Brad and Cort break down this week’s all-new episode.  What was your favorite moment from this week's episode? Lyta certainly is fearless as she steps into her new role.
