Talking Bach: Amy and Haley Know The Bachelor Season 29 Finale Season 29 of The Bachelor gave us everything: shocking goodbyes, a tearful blindside, and yes—a picture-perfect proposal.
LAST EPISODE! In the midst of trying to perfect a call to her friend Jill, Elaine gets sentenced to a year in jail for mocking instead of helping a carjacking victim. The series finale of Seinfeld was divisive at best and I have dissected all the reasons why I feel it fell short of the massive expectations back in 1998. On a personal note, this has been the best creative endeavor of my life - 3 years, 10 months and 3 weeks making 7,800 minutes of content - thank you for listening!!
In this episode of Shoujo Sundae, Chika and Giana review episodes twenty-three through twenty-five of Kimi Ni Todoke. In episode twenty-three, Ayane and Chizu plot to set up Sawako and Kazehaya on a solo date on New Year's Eve. Before abandoning them at the shrine together, the girls do Sawako's hair and makeup. In episode twenty-four, Sawako and Kazehaya enjoy a chilly New Year's Eve together at the shrine. Kazehaya learns at the end of the night that it was Sawako's birthday, and, in a way, gives her many gifts. In episode twenty-five, Kazehaya exchanges his “good luck fortune” for her very bad luck one. Chizu and Ryuu go to the shrine together. Ayane reluctantly gets stuck with Jo for the evening. Kazehaya walks Sawako home, and they each internally reflect on their feelings for each other. In this episode of Shoujo Sundae, Giana and Chika review episodes forty-seven through fifty of Fruits Basket (2019)! In episode forty-seven, Yuki and Manabe discuss Tohru and the nature of Yuki's feelings towards her. Tohru's class decides to rewrite Cinderella to fit their odd casting choices. In episode forty-eight, it's showtime! Cinderella-ish is a hilarious success, despite an out of character outburst from Tohru at the end of the show, causing Kyo to wonder about her true feelings towards him. In episode forty-nine, Yuki makes sure to include Machi in the student council's plans to celebrate the end of the school year together. It's also time for the New Year's banquet at the Sohma estate, which results in an unsettling exchange between Akito and Yuki around forgiveness of one another. Tohru spends the holiday with Kyo, Kazuma, and Rin at Kazuma's dojo. Tohru's wish for the new year is for the Sohma's curse to be broken. In episode fifty, Kureno laments to Tohru about his feelings for Arisa. Shigure and Tohru learn the true nature of Kureno's bond to Akito. It's finale time! Grab your spoon, and let's dig in! Note from Giana: I'm sorry for any background noise bleeding through! The apartment I moved into over the summer is next to a really busy intersection, and my neighbors are noisy both downstairs and next door. Episodes recorded here may have less than perfect audio until I move somewhere hopefully quieter in June of 2025. Thanks for understanding! This final episode is intended as an homage to who Eusebius was over time and space. Through conversation with Nick Ferreira, Julie Taylor and Bongani Khumalo, our host Lovelyn Nwadeyi delves into their experiences of Eusebius in the key locations that so profoundly shaped his life: Makhanda (formerly Grahamstown) and his time at Rhodes University, Oxford town and University, and Johannesburg which he fondly called "Johussleburg". In this lively discussion Eusebius' friends share some of their favourite memories about him in each place, they share some intimate struggles that they journeyed through with Euby, and now reflect on the changing nature of their relationship to these different locations. As the team behind this Finale Season, we hope this episode will help many of his fond listeners move towards a sense of closure, as it has done for us. Thank you for journeying with us so far.

Our Darren Ssarfinale!Season 11 of The Good, The Pod, and The Ugly concludes on an odd note, both mathematically and colloquially, as the boys wrap up their Darren Aronofsky season with Episode 9 covering PERFECT BLUE (1997), joined by frequent guest Ryan. The debut film of famed anime and short-lived director Satoshi Kon released one year prior to Aronofsky's debut (PI), Perfect Blue is an adaptation of an edgy YA thriller novel popular in Japan. Taking liberties with plot, Kon deepens the twists of the source material, adding in his own layers of the nascent internet anxieties and troubling the idea of identity visually and thematically, and in so doing turns what was meant as a Japanese OVA into a feature released worldwide. TGTPTU takes on directly the movie scuttlebutt sites posting slander since Requiem for a Dream (with a resurgence after Black Swan) and claims Kon himself on occasion supported (although he would die at age 46 months prior to Black Swan's release), that The Scarf lifted shots and scenarios directly from Kon's first masterpiece, and the strident conclusions the hosts and guest reach are definitely not going to stun and probably won't impress you, our listener. But stay tuned afterward for Ken, Thomas, and Ryan's rankings of Aronofsky's eight-film filmography, a teaser for next season, and this season's bestowal of the much-coveted Squeaky Chair Award. In this episode of Shoujo Sundae, Chika and Giana review episodes twenty-four and twenty-five of Fruits Basket (2019). It's finale time! In episode 24, Kyo's true form is shocking to Chika and Giana for reasons you wouldn't expect. Kyo's mother's delicate treatment of Kyo, and especially his rosary, tugged at the girls' heartstrings. Tohru's ability to allow the way she cares for Kyo trump the fear she has of his true form makes Giana “a wreck”. In episode 25, Chika credits Yuki for how much work he put into resisting his revulsion to the cat spirit. Giana takes the opportunity to fangirl over Eric Vale one last time. The lack of information about the aftermath of the reveal of Kyo's true form leaves lots of lingering questions. Kagura and Kazuma leaving without saying goodbye after everything that occurred the previous night leaves a bitter taste in this week's sundae. Also, why would Shigure invite everyone to his house for dinner if he wasn't going to be present?? Grab your spoons, and let's dig in! Heather has been an athlete for most of her life. She took her love of swimming and entered the triathlon world, eventually crushing Ironman. She eventually married her love of running and all things Disney and tackled a number of runDisney runs. This is where she met Jen. Jen began running during her weight loss journey half a dozen years ago. She previously only ran from base to base as a varsity softball player and loathed running. But thanks to her friends and a supportive network, she ran her first 5K. Heather and Jen met as Jen was training for her first half marathon and eventually her first full marathon thanks to Heather's encouragement. The two are now dear friends and share a coach/athlete relationship. This friendship and love for running comes through on their podcast.
