The saboteurs are discovered by Kit Fisto in Dark Horse Comics' Tides of Terror #3 (of 4), but is it too late for the station? In Marvel's Star Wars (Vol. 4) #7, Luke, Han, Chewie and Valance take the fight for the Nagai to the front as Leia counsels Mon on why sometimes direct violence is the right path. In Han Solo — Hunt for the Falcon #3 (of 5), Han is forced to take a long, hard look at himself — and his life — and how it's impacted Leia and Ben Solo after a heart to heart with Chewbacca nearly comes to blows.

Phil Rosenthal is the award-winning creator, executive producer, and host of "Somebody Feed Phil," as well as a two-time New York Times Best Selling Author and soon-to-be restaurant owner. "Somebody Feed Phil" – one of Netflix's most popular food and travel shows – has garnered a cult-like following and released its eighth season on June 18th in 190 countries. The Emmy-nominated series is Netflix's longest unscripted series and combines Rosenthal's love of food and travel with his unique brand of humor and has become must-see TV for foodies, restaurateurs, travelers, and armchair enthusiasts all over the world. Rosenthal has been nominated for a 2024 Critics' Choice Real TV Award, after winning Critics Choice Real TV Awards in 2022 and 2021 for "Best Travel/Adventure Show" and "Male Star of the Year" on behalf of the series. He also garnered a 2022 James Beard Award nomination for "Visual Media—Long Form." Currently, Rosenthal has embarked on his highly anticipated third US live tour –  An Evening With Phil Rosenthal "Of Somebody Feed Phil" – in over 25 North American cities August-October 2025. On tour, Rosenthal shares insights into his 40-year entertainment career, while incorporating his love of food, storytelling, and humor to audiences. He also invites special guests to be moderators on stage, ranging from local celebrities to famous chefs. The North American tour comes after his second European tour, which was received with resounding praise from fans across Europe. Up next, Rosenthal will also make a significant mark in the culinary world with the 2025 opening of his diner, Max & Helen's, in Los Angeles. Named after his parents, who were beloved series regulars in "Somebody Feed Phil," the dishes will not only be elevated by great ingredients but the brilliance of Executive Chef Nancy Silverton. Following a resounding call from fans, Rosenthal created a companion book to the series, "Somebody Feed Phil The Book" which was released in the US on October 20th, 2022, via Simon Element (an imprint of Simon & Schuster). It immediately landed on the New York Times Best Seller list, which then led to a UK release in January 2023 and a multi-country tour selling out venues across the globe. To expand on this, Rosenthal is set to release a second cookbook in the series, "Phil's Favorites," available for pre-order now and releasing on November 4th, 2025 in the US and November 6th in the UK.  It is more than just a cookbook; it's a celebration of food, family, and friendship incorporating recipes from his family and friends including Judy Gold and Anna Romano. In 2024, he released his first children's book, "JUST TRY IT: A Phil and Lil Book," co-written with his daughter, Lily on March 5, 2024. The hilarious children's picture book about a food-loving dad encouraging his picky eater daughter to just try something new. This once again put Rosenthal on the New York Times Best Seller list, leading to his second national book and live tour, both of which packed bookstores and theatres from coast to coast, including a sold-out crowd at The Beacon in New York City. Up next, they will launch its companion book, "JUST TRY IT: SOMEPLACE NEW!," about an encouraging dad easing his daughter's worries about staying at Grandma's for the first time. Rosenthal has further expanded his love of humor, food, and human connection through a podcast called "Naked Lunch." Launched in May 2022, his podcast is live on Stitcher, SiriusXM's mobile app, and wherever podcasts are available. Co-hosted with his friend and longtime Rolling Stone journalist David Wild, each episode of this weekly talk-show podcast features a special, world-renowned guest to discuss what's going on in their lives – "an informal meeting of wits, minds and hearts" – while eating lunch from some of Phil's favorite local LA eateries.  In 1995, Rosenthal created the hit CBS comedy "Everybody Loves Raymond" which premiered the following year. He served as the showrunner and executive producer for all nine years of the show's very successful run, which ended in 2005. During its original run, the show was nominated for over 70 Emmy Awards, and won 15 awards, including two for "Best Comedy Series" in 2003 and 2005. Rosenthal won the 2002 Writers Guild Award for "Excellence in Television Writing" for his "Italy" script. After the series wrapped, Rosenthal penned a book on the art of comedy and the making of a sitcom classic. YOU'RE LUCKY YOU'RE FUNNY: HOW LIFE BECOMES A SITCOM was published in 2007 via Penguin Publishing Group. His early writing credits include the comedy series "DOWN THE SHORE" and "Coach." Rosenthal also co-wrote "America: A Tribute to Heroes," the 9/11 telethon which aired on all four networks in September 2001, for which he won a Peabody Award and an Emmy nomination for "Outstanding Writing." Rosenthal then went on to write, direct, and star in his first feature film for Sony Pictures. EXPORTING RAYMOND, the true story about the attempt to turn "Everybody Loves Raymond" into a Russian sitcom, was met with critical acclaim upon its release in October 2010. In 2015, Rosenthal embarked on a new journey by creating his first travel food series "I'll Have What Phil's Having." This PBS documentary series, which is the precursor to "Somebody Feed Phil," received two Taste Awards and won the 2016 James Beard Award for "Best Television Program, on Location." In October 2020, Rosenthal launched Somebody Feed the People, an initiative of the Rosenthal Family Foundation that supports organizations making an impact and building community through food. This inclusive and non-partisan initiative partners with organizations across the U.S. that address food access and insecurity, support chefs and restaurant workers, create employment pathways, and strengthen the health of our food systems. This foundation is ongoing yearly. Rosenthal continued his philanthropic efforts in 2022, serving alongside Katie Couric and Jeff MacGregor as an executive producer of the documentary FOR LOVE AND LIFE: NO ORDINARY CAMPAIGN. The film follows Brian Wallach and Sandra Abrevaya, a couple battling ALS and leading a revolutionary movement to help victims of the disease around the world. "For Love and Life" went on to win awards at the SXSW Film Festival, the Chicago International Film Festival, and the Virginia Film Festival.  We chat about executives trying to sabotage him, writing what you want, gratitude, Somebody Feed Phil, Everybody Loves Raymond and almost quitting twice, writing, crazy story as a security guard, creating your own ticket plus plenty more! Beacon lyricist specializes in musicals for kids Growing up in rural North Carolina, Melvin Tunstall III lived behind a church. "My father was a deacon, but everyone thought he was the pastor," he recalls. "He cut a path between the woods and our house." Evidenced by Tunstall's singing style and his collaborative score for the musical Stuntboy: In the Meantime, now on tour, gospel music seeped into his psyche. Things are picking up for the Beacon writer, composer, lyricist and performer. Earlier this year, he traveled to North Carolina to direct a Raleigh Theatre Arts Center production of The Music of Sam Cooke, who began with gospel and ended with soul. "The call for that gig came out of nowhere," Tunstall says. "As I started to dive into the show, it's such a history lesson. That was one of my favorite theatrical experiences." For Tunstall, the past is attractive. He is working on a musical score based on the 2022 children's book Yellow Dog Blues about a boy who, while searching for his lost dog, learns about the influence of Mississippi Delta blues musicians on the electrified Chicago scene in the 1940s and 1950s. Tunstall's niche is uplifting works for young people. Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical ran for three weeks this year at a theater in Bloomington, Indiana, and Senior Class premiered at the Olney Theatre Center in Maryland. TheaterWorksUSA produced his hour-long musical adaptation of Stuntboy, based on a graphic novel for children written by Jason Reynolds and illustrated by Raul the Third, which is now on a national tour. Like the Sam Cooke opportunity, Tunstall received an unsolicited call to write for a five-person Stuntboy cast. His musical partner, Greg Dean Borowski, sent over songs and Tunstall, who wrote the book and lyrics, added his touches and recorded demos for the cast to study. Though Tunstall's high school musical, Senior Class, tackles issues of race and class, Stuntboy is wholesome and features supportive, affirming messages. The protagonist, Portico Reeves, is an 8-year-old trying to overcome anxiety surrounding his parents' impending divorce. The production features plenty of movement onstage, along with colorful sets and costumes. Church-style harmonies bookend the opening song, which introduces Portico's female best friend and his bullying nemesis. Driven by keyboards, the tunes are poppy and upbeat. Though there are spoken interludes, most of the story is conveyed in the lyrics. After premiering at Bronxville High School in Westchester County, the production will travel to Austin, Texas, for performances on Nov. 5 and 6. Tunstall moved to New York City after college but returned to North Carolina following 9/11. Friends pulled him north again, and he joined the cast of the Toronto production of Rock of Ages in 2010 and the original Broadway production of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, hanging around for six years. He became acquainted with theater folks living in Beacon, found a beneficial living arrangement and moved to the city two years ago. "It reminds me of Blowing Rock, North Carolina," he says. Although jobs seem to find him, he continues to hustle. "This is a tough business," he says. "You have to be five years ahead of the game, but I'm married to my career. I'm just thinking, 'Let's get as much theater into the world as possible.' "

Sisters, brother enlisted during Vietnam For Victoria Ryan, Veterans Day on Tuesday (Nov. 11) will once again evoke memories of the 35 years the Beacon native and her siblings, Deborah and Bill, collectively served in the U.S. Army. Bill joined first, in 1970, followed by Deborah in 1973. Victoria, at the urging of her mother, enlisted just a few months after her sister. Victoria remembers Bill as "laid back, easygoing, athletic and serious minded." At the height of the Vietnam War, he enlisted rather than waiting to be drafted. A field artillery surveyor, he reached the rank of specialist and served in Germany until being discharged in late 1973. He died in a car accident in 1978 at age 25. "Bill had enrolled at University of Tennessee; he wanted to take mechanical engineering," Victoria recalled. Deborah, prior to joining the military, had worked for three years as a model. In the Army, she became the first woman to serve as a military police officer (MP) at West Point, a distinction that earned her a profile in the New York Daily News. Deborah explained to the newspaper why she had enlisted: "We were at war and the men were fighting. Why shouldn't I?" In a 2025 newsletter published by Together We Served, an organization that helps veterans stay connected and chronicles their stories, Victoria told the group how proud she was of her sister. "She pursued a law enforcement career in the Army and was deeply serious about her duties," she said. Early in her posting to West Point, Deborah pulled an officer over for speeding, Victoria recalled. "Do you know who I am?" the officer asked arrogantly. Deborah responded: "Sir, please do not confuse your rank with my authority." Deborah served in the Army until 1990. Her career included stops in Europe and Korea, and she rose to the rank of warrant officer in the criminal investigation division. She died in 2016 at age 61. "Although she was four years younger than me, I always looked up to her in many ways," Victoria said. "She died a proud veteran." Deborah's daughter, Leslie Ann Martell, a West Point graduate, served in Afghanistan and now serves in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Victoria went on to earn the rank of staff sergeant and served in the Army until 1988. In the mid-1970s, she and Deborah were both posted at West Point, where they "had a lot of great times," said Victoria. "We played tennis, had lunch together and went to Army football games; Deborah loved those games." She also recalled happy get-togethers with Deborah, Bill and their parents at the family's Beacon home during that period. While stationed at West Point, Victoria worked in administration for the third regiment Corps of Cadets. Her career also took her to Hawaii, Holland and numerous posts across the mainland U.S. Like her sister, Victoria was not afraid to speak her mind. During a physical training program at Fort Myers, Virginia, she was appalled that early morning runs were conducted in Arlington National Cemetery. She protested up the chain of command, all the way to the sergeant major of the Army. To her "astonished relief," the runs ceased. "I felt shame, embarrassment and guilt for my part in disrespecting this revered and sacred cemetery," said Victoria. "I needed to take a stand." Her saddest military experience came during her final assignment in the Army casualty office. In 1986, a DC-8 bringing personnel stationed in Egypt home to Fort Campbell, Kentucky, crashed after taking off from Gander International Airport in Newfoundland, killing all 248 passengers and the eight crew members. Calling it "the worst peacetime military aircraft disaster in the history of the U.S. Army," Victoria said her office spent months identifying all the bodies. "We told our people out in the field where to go, who to speak to and exactly, word for word, what to say to the next of kin about their loved one passing away," she said. Now retired and living in Knoxville, Tennessee, where she is an active member of...

When Cora meets Sam at a baby group in their small town, the chemistry between them is undeniable. Both are happily married young parents with two kids, and neither sees themselves as the type to engage in an affair. Yet their connection grows stronger, and as their lives continue to intertwine, the romantic tension between them becomes all-consuming—until their worlds unravel into two parallel timelines. In one, they pursue their feelings. In the other, they resist. As reality splits, the everyday details of Cora's life—her depressing marketing job, her daughter's new fascination with the afterlife, her husband's obsession with podcasts about the history of rope—gain fresh perspective. The intersecting and diverging timelines blur the boundaries of reality and fantasy, questioning what might have been and what truly matters. The Ten Year Affair is a witty, emotionally-charged exploration of marriage, family life, and the roads not taken, that ultimately asks: do we really want our fantasies to come true? Your Internal Compass: A Beacon for Faith and Action   Shannon and Dana are joined by Shandra Madson to discuss following our Internal Compass which is our ability to hear from God and be inspired and directed in our lives.   Shandra Madson started a campus of the Columbus Adult Education Center in her community which teaches English to refugees and immigrants. Shandra had become aware that about one in every five people in their community did not speak English because of a large influx of refugees. She said, “They were new to our city, new to our country, and it created a lot of different dynamics and concerns and ways that these people needed to feel loved and just helped along their path. So the Columbus Center is basically there to teach English, but really it's just a beautiful place where people were able to come and feel God's love for them. And I think that was kind of our main goal. English obviously was important, but they needed somewhere that they could come just to feel safe and feel loved, and just have that humanity where they weren't feeling it otherwise in their lives.”   00:00 Introduction and Welcome 00:39 Meet Shandra Madson 03:23 The Columbus Center: A Beacon of Hope 07:07 Trusting in the Lord: Shandra's Journey 09:30 Success Stories and Impact 19:06 Encouragement and Final Thoughts   “God doesn't care where we live. He doesn't care what our address is. He wants people to feel loved no matter where they are.” - Shandra Madson   “We don't have to know everything to be able to contribute and support.” - Dana Robb   “I think it's a beautiful thing that all of God's children are born with that light, and I think it's just a matter of are we willing to flame that light and just help grow it. and I think every little choice we make, every way we help God's children, that light just grows brighter and brighter. . . .It takes effort to recognize and effort to follow.” - Shandra Madson  “Another thing that's been really interesting is that some maybe came in with different biases or prejudices against another nation. And because we serve so many nations, and they're learning together and have become united through that, I've seen some of those guards that they came with be let down, and actually become friends with [eachother] and realize that they have more in common than they thought at first, and that some of these prejudices that they had in the beginning were really unfounded. . . . That's been such a beautiful, one of my favorite parts to witness, that happening at the center.” - Shannon Russell   “I think anytime we just reach out a hand of love and fellowship and kindness, it doesn't go unnoticed. People notice and feel that love of God as they serve.” - Shandra Madson   “One thing I love is just that we all came here with different talents, and it's so easy to compare with somebody else of like, “Wow, they've done this thing,” or “They have this ability or this talent,” but it's neat to see how God can use all of our talents differently, and it can help grow to be something beautiful for all of us.” - Shandra Madson   “I love that you said be still, you know, let's quiet yourself down. We live in such a rushed world, but really in order to connect to that internal compass, we have to take moments of stillness every day and quiet our minds and, and listen in.” - Dana Robb   Shannon Russell treasures her roles as a wife and mother, finding that the journey of learning and growing alongside her family is the most rewarding experience of her life. At her core, Shannon is passionate about helping others. Whether it be as a real estate agent guiding her clients to one of their most significant investments – their homes, or volunteering at the Columbus Center supporting refugees in learning English and become assimilated in the United States, or creating nonprofits focused on educating youth, she loves serving those around her and is committed to making a positive impact in her community. Shannon loves connecting with women from diverse backgrounds and perspectives through Big Ocean Women where women are empowered to generate solutions that enable them to live a life of joy and abundance. Her favorite pastimes are playing pickleball, board games, hiking, anything that puts her in nature, and being a beach bum. Whenever presented with the opportunity for adventure, Dana Robb is all in. Currently, this includes riding the local mountain biking trails with her husband, canyoneering, and climbing the hills of southern Utah. She loves to learn and explore with her six kids. She is drawn to the opportunities being involved with Big Ocean Women provides. Dana loves connecting to a global sisterhood where women's issues are being addressed through reframing and an abundance mindset.   Shandra Madsen is an entrepreneur at heart and has owned several businesses over the past couple decades.. Shandra and Todd have been married for 26 years and have 5 beautiful children, one son-in-law and two grandchildren. Being parents and grandparents is her ultimate joy. She enjoys spending time with their large extended family, camping, vacationing, playing games and enjoying the outdoors. Her love for Jesus Christ is foundational to who she is and serving her community and neighbors. She has loved serving as the Director with her husband of the Herriman Columbus Adult Education Center that helps hundreds of immigrants learn English. She is currently serving as the Chair over Humanitarian Aid with the Kamas Valley Community Foundation and excited to continue to serve in new and exciting ways.

This show has been flagged as Clean by the host. Hello, again. This is Trey. Welcome to part 3 in my Cheap Yellow Display (CYD) Project series. You can find Part 1 in episode 4472 and Part 2 in episode 4488. We previously left our handy hero searching for a solution to an amateur radio signal propagation dilemma, while he is trying to become proficient with Morse code. The CYD technology is simmering in the back of his brain – an answer in search of a problem. Hah! I love trying to create the feel of a vintage radio or television series with the intro and outro for these episodes. But I am by no means the hero. I am simply Trey – a grumpy old man and tinkerer. Instead, the real hero in this episode is Keith VE3SVQ-THE SHAKY KEY on YouTube. So.... Let's see. Where were we? Oh yes. I have been trying to learn Morse code -.-. --.- -.-. --.- (CQ CQ) That was me, tapping out "CQ CQ" in Morse code using the practice set I keep on my desk. This consists of a set of code paddles, connected to an Arduino Nano, which I built several years ago based what I learned watching Code Practice Oscillator; Aka: The Three Arduinos on Jmhrvy1947's YouTube Channel, and based on the code from his GitHub https://github.com/jmharvey1/ArduinoCPO . I did need to make modifications, both to support the Ardunio Nano on which I chose to run it, and for my own sanity, as the way that I learned to write code for Ardunio is very different. I focus on readability and flexibility. You can see these changes on my own GitHub ( https://github.com/jttrey3/PracticeOscillator/blob/main/PracticeOscillator.ino ) Anyway, I have been studying. I have been watching videos. I have been practicing. I might actually be learning some of this stuff. If you are interested in more details about the resources I am using, leave a comment for this episode, or drop me an email using the address in my profile, and I may record an episode about it. The result is that I have been learning. But also, the google and YouTube algorithms have been learning about me. And they have started to feed me more videos about Morse code. It is both helpful, and super creepy at the same time. So one day, when I opened YouTube, a title in my feed caught my eye. " NEW CW OP USE THE REVERSE BEACON NETWORK TO IMPROVE YOUR CODE ". I said to myself, "Self, this could be interesting." I watched Keith's video and learned about the Reverse Beacon Network . According to their website, "The Reverse Beacon Network (RBN) is a revolutionary new idea. Instead of beacons actively transmitting signals, the RBN is a network of stations listening to the bands and reporting what stations they hear, when and how well." Let's pause for a second and discuss amateur radio beacons. These are stations which repeatedly broadcast their identity on dedicated frequencies. Other operators around the world, who hear a beacon, can evaluate the signal propagation between their station and the beacon location. The RBN is just the opposite. Here, the station operator can transmit a test signal with their call sign, using CW or other digital modes. Then, they can look at the RBN website to see which RBN listening stations received their transmission, and even get a signal report. On the main page of the RBN website, one can observe a world map with paths showing where signals were received, and where they originated based on the registered grid square of the originating call sign. The table displayed below the map reveals the sending and receiving call signs, their distance apart (In miles or kilometers), the frequency, the mode, the type of transmission, the signal to noise ratio, the speed of the transmission, and the time/date using UTC. This information is collected by a network of volunteer reverse beacon receiving stations all over the world, which monitor the various radio bands, decode transmissions of CW (Morse code), RTTY (Radio Teletype), and PSK31 or PSK63 (Digital modes using Phase Shift Keying). These receiving stations report what they receive as well as the signal strength back into the Reverse Beacon Network to be recorded and published over the internet. Dave Casler discussed the RBN back in 2016 on his YouTube video The Ham Radio Reverse Beacon Network, AD#32 . This gives very good detail of how the network works. This sounds like exactly what I have been looking for. All I need to do is come up with a way to reliably, accurately, and consistently transmit "CQ CQ CQ TEST DE" followed by my call sign three times at a constant 20 words per minute (WPM). If I can do this a few times, I can then check the RBN to see where I was received. By including the "TEST" string, recipients know that I do not wish to start a conversation. I can get accurate reporting of where my signal is going and how strong it is. But remember that my morse code skills are still inadequate. And my radios do not have "Keyer memories" like those which can be found in higher end transceivers like the Icom 7300, enabling programmed messages to be sent at the touch of a button. But there is a fairly inexpensive solution to this problem. One which has been nagging at the back of my mind. Maybe, I could use the Cheap Yellow Display to effectively add "Keyer memory" to any of my radios by simply plugging it in to the code key input port. These stored messages could be transmitted by simply touching their specific icon on the touch screen. Now we have a plan. But how will we do it? What else will we need to learn? Will it even work? Tune in to the next episode in the series to find out the answers to some of these questions and more! Provide feedback on this episode.

CEO Paul Ténière outlined the company's comprehensive development plan during a detailed discussion, emphasizing how existing infrastructure and historical data are being leveraged to accelerate the path to production. The company is targeting completion of a preliminary economic assessment by December 2025, though Ténière noted the study approaches prefeasibility-level detail despite its PEA classification for regulatory purposes. "It's kind of misleading in a way to call it a PEA. We're calling it a PEA level only because really we're moving into a PFS level," he explained. The scope includes comprehensive work by ERM consultants covering pit design, metallurgical testing, ore sorting evaluation through SRC in Saskatchewan, and a mineral resource update incorporating twin holes at Swanson. The Beacon Gold Mill, which operated until 18 months ago under previous ownership by Monarch Mining, provides Lafleur with detailed operating cost data rarely available to development-stage companies. A dedicated team of engineers is already mobilized at the site, with initial maintenance and repairs estimated at $2-6 million. The restart strategy includes processing 5,000 tons of existing stockpile to validate equipment performance before Swanson material arrives in early 2026.Swanson's location on an existing mining lease 45-50 kilometers from Beacon significantly streamlines the permitting pathway. The company needs only to submit an updated mine plan and environmental closure plan to Quebec authorities, a process Ténière indicated "can be done in a matter of months" rather than years. The initial development phase envisions an 80,000-100,000 ton bulk sample that represents the first phase of mining, serving to validate metallurgical projections while generating early cash flow.Beyond the initial open-pit scenario, Lafleur has identified multiple expansion pathways including underground resources at Swanson showing higher grades at depth, potential mill expansion to 3,000 tons per day, and custom milling opportunities for regional deposits.Learn more: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/lafleur-mineralsSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

From easing documentation burden and reducing burnout to strengthening patient connection, he explains why integration and accountability are just as critical as efficiency gains. The U.S. has been a model for other aspiring democracies since 1776. At the same time, the idea of America as the leader of the democratic world has also had a unifying effect at home. It's what has kept this diverse country of many faiths and ethnicities together, and it has been our national identity. But with Trump actively undermining those ideals, what will we be unified around? Plus, the potential new whites-favored refugee policy, Trump's psychological comfort to the Russian war effort, Hegseth got himself a state media press room at the Pentagon, JD is totally cool with lots of Nazi talk—and could the administration be trying to start a war in Venezuela so it can expand its militaristic crackdown on the streets here?
