The next installment of the Egg London Podcast features two veterans who have been causing a stir once again recently. With over 40 years experience in the music industry, Paul C and Paolo Martini have certainly been, seen and done it all. Joining forces in 2009, the Italian duo have worked tirelessly in the studio not only seeing their music supported by many of the industry's biggest names, but also releasing on labels such as Hot Creations, Area Remote, Terminal M, 100% Pure, AMA Recordings, Great Stuff, Kiara Records and of course, Paul's Boutique. We caught up with them ahead of their gig at Egg London on Saturday 22nd February. Where, how and on what was the mix recorded? It's a studio mix done with 2 CDJ Pioneer 2000. It includes some of our own exclusive stuff plus some great tracks by others artists that we really like at the moment You've been production partners since 2009, do you both have a specific role in the studio? Whats your creative process? Any arguments!? Usually Paul C starts to make some beats and a groove by himself as he's very good on that and then we build it up the track together, choosing the main elements and all the rest to make sure the track works until we are both satisfied.... we care about all the details, as sometimes a very small element can be elaborated and became a successful main ingredient of the track, making it sound completely different. Today you can do miracles with the technology ... and yes we argue sometimes but at the end we always find a good compromise smiley 2013 was a massive year for you, you were signed to Jamie Jones' Hot Creations imprint and everyone here in the UK has been going crazy for PCPM sound. Any standout moments? Yes it's true it was a great year for us ... quite a few good things happened, like when our track "We Repeat" on Cecille was chosen as the soundtrack for the official trailer of "Love Family Park 2013" or when "Spunk" on Material reach No. 2 on Beatport Tech house chart, the collaboration with Mousse T on Terminal M, not forgetting the massive support we had from a lot of big DJ's, thanks to all of them! And of course, being signed to Hot Creations was something really special to us. What is your tried and tested dance floor bomb at the moment? Quite a lot of the tracks off our forthcoming EP on Hottrax always go down well, and a pair of remixes that we have just finished ...also there's a lot of good music around at the moment like the new single of Joyce Muniz - Back In The Days on Exploited and Tom Flynn - Hoochie on Hot Creations .... both of them are real bombs! Anything else you'd like to shout about? We really can't wait to come and play at the EGG on Saturday February 22nd…it's our first gig together in London and we are very excited about that ....hope to see you all there!

Kiara Records
 Podcast Series 003
Presents NTFO Hailing from Jimbolia - a small town in Romania, Dani and Robert are the DJ and production duo who call themselves NTFO. Why NTFO? Well, before they started to create music, they used to perform as a DJ act in their hometown club “Dolce Vita”, each under a different moniker - NTQ (Dani) and Fort (Robert). After a few years of spinning the decks in clubs here and there, the boys knew they had to take a step further into the electronic music industry and so they decided to produce their own unique sound, the sound of colorful deep house music, the sound of NTFO. The name is simply a result of their former aliases combined, using two letters from each. Bursting onto the scene in January 2010 with the release of their first vinyl album, their records began to fly higher than expected, landing in the hands of some of the world’s best electronic music producers: “Allure” caught the eye of the Diynamic chief, Solomun who later on added them to his DIY Agency, while “Troops” entered Marco Carola’s sets and “Filter” peaked at #2 on Richie Hawtin’s beatport chart in 2009. Spring blossomed with the release of a new EP, hooked with three original tracks and a remix of Czubala Marcin from 8 bit, when in autumn the pair contributed to H.O.S.H.’s “Cash the Chord” EP with their own remix of the track, besides Audiojack and 360. 2011 brings Rhadow into the picture along with the “Conclusions” EP released on Sintope Digital Records, however in February, together with Optick, NTFO signed “Tremble” at Sintope Vinyl. The EP encompassed remixes from Alex Piccini & Older, Mucky Pups and Rhadow. Even before its official launch, the material was already supported by leading names in the industry like Joseph Capriati, Loco Dice, Lauhaus, Audiojack, Butch and Tom Budden. As the fall came again, Dani and Robert threw a new track on Diynamic records, “Feelings” - perhaps one of their hottest, most loveable tracks until now. In February 2012 the much-hyped duo produced another stupefying track, in collaboration with H.O.S.H. and Malonda. “High”, featured on Diynamic 055 obviously lifted them up, whereas with its 58th announcement, the Hamburg-based label presented a three-track “Various Artists” EP which exposed “Nobody Else” - a collab between NTFO and Netherlands export Karmon. With its bouncy bassline and rhythmic pulse highlighted by spherically playful notes, the melody takes you on a wonderful journey, casting a spell over your dancing soul. With the beginning of 2013, NTFO haughtily announced the launch of a new label, Jargon, a sublabel for Sintope Digital. The imprint looks to further showcase the latter of underground music, creating a sound which Robert describes as “rather old-school house, or maybe even techno”. Moreover, this year the boys prepare “Slagare vol.4”, another outstanding EP in collaboration with Rhadow (due out in April). In spring we’ll also see the first drop on Jargon, besides another one of their top-notch productions for Diynamic. Romania’s electronic music industry is growing and NTFO are flowering! Keep an eye out for the two, they could be spinning around the country, or in Germany, the UK, Netherlands, Switzerland or even Brazil! Release date: May 14, 2012 __________________________________ ----------------------------- The artistic union between Mattia Saviolo and Eugenio Zampieri is consolidated years ago, thanks to the common passion for electronic music, especially for “Techno-Minimal” music, that helps them to obtain notoriety as young producers and Djs at local and international level. In this way they can share the consolle with artists such as Phil Kieran, Par Grindvik, Fabrizio Maurizi, Gel Abril, Joseph Capriati. They release “Maybe 64” Ep for Polar Noise, one of the most important labels of the electronic music in Italy. Later on they decide to revise their music adding Deeper and Tech-House’s sounds. This change brings them under the spotlight at last: they release a various artist on “Inmotion Music” and the bomb “Groover Ep” on Carlo Lio’s label (Rawthentic Music). In the meantime other secret tracks have been played and supported by Djs such as Dubfire, Butch, Loco Dice, Tini. It’s certainly that in a short time Macromism will form part of the Italian most famous Djs. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Macromism/185871941449832 http://www.macromism.com/ http://www.beatport.com/artist/macromism/94500
