Wir kennen uns aus der Schulzeit, und genau deshalb ist das eine besondere Aufnahme. Tini hat schon in der Schule angefangen, Wimpern von AliExpress zu bestellen, zu Hause umzupacken und über TikTok zu verkaufen. Jahrelang lief das nebenbei mit ein paar tausend Euro Umsatz. Marlow kam von Print on Demand dazu, und irgendwann haben die beiden sich hingesetzt und beschlossen, es richtig anzugehen. Ende 2024 kamen sie zu uns. Vorher gab es nur organischen Content, der ROAS war zu niedrig und sie haben Geld verbrannt, ohne zu wissen woran es liegt. Es lag am Shop, an den Ads und an den Produkten gleichzeitig. Die ersten vier Monate liefen zäh, dann kam der erste Sprung, danach wieder Stillstand, dann eine Phase, in der sich der Umsatz innerhalb von zwei Monaten jeweils verdoppelt hat. Heute machen sie rund 50.000 Euro Umsatz im Monat und haben gerade ihre erste Mitarbeiterin eingestellt, die sich schon nach zwei Tagen rentiert hat. Wir sprechen offen über Perfektionismus, über den Fokus aufs Wesentliche statt auf schöne Nebensächlichkeiten, und darüber, warum man als Unternehmer den Fokus auf Geld nicht als etwas Schlechtes verstehen sollte. Daraus sind zwei Comic-Bände entstanden: Erst "Im Jugendarrest" und vor kurzem "Im Gefängnis". Die Zeichnungen der Inhaftierten sind in die Bücher eingeflossen. Besucht hat Thoma auch das Gefängnis "Roter Ochse" in Halle an der Saale. Tini von Poser hat Illustratorin Patricia Thoma getroffen sowie mit einem Inhaftierten in Halle gesprochen, der am Comic-Workshop teilgenommen hat. Douglas Stuart: "John of John"Cal ist zurück und all das, vor dem er nach Edinburgh geflüchtet war, ist wieder da: das karge Leben auf den Hebriden, der windgepeitschte Kreislauf aus Schafzucht und Nächten am Webstuhl, die Enge der Inselgemeinschaft. Es war ein Running Gag seit einigen Jahren hat jetzt sein Ende gefunden! Denn Tini Diekmann war endlich Gast in meinem Podcast! Was hat sie mich über die Jahre bekniet, gebeten und angefleht ;-) Es passt leider immer nicht! Aber zum 10-jährigen Bestehen ihres Hotel Oderbergers nahmen wir uns vor der opulenten Party 75 Minuten in der Kaminbar. Bevor Tini das Oderberger von Anfang an begleitete, war sie erst einmal im warmen Süden tätig. Spanien und Portugal oder vor allem Teneriffa und Madeira waren lange ihr Gemüse. Diese Liebe ist bis heute geblieben und dies im doppelten Sinne: Denn auf eine dieser Stationen lernte sie ihren Mann kennen, mit dem sie seit über 20 Jahren zusammen ist. Danach setzte sich ihre Karriere bei der Familie Jaeschke fort. Zunächst im GLS Sprachenzentrum, welches Sprachschule und Sprachreisen anbietet. Eine weitere Idee dieser war, ein heruntergekommenes Stadtbad in Pankow nicht nur zu reaktivieren, sondern auch gleichzeitig ein Hotel drumherum aufzubauen. Und da wurde Tini gefragt, ob sie Lust hätte, dieses als Sales & Reservation/Revenue Manager mit aufzubauen. 10 Jahre später ist sie Direktorin...
