Dr. Ely Karmon, a Senior Researcher at the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism at Reichman University, said that the targeting of the al-Qaeda leader would boost US president Biden after the disastrous American withdrawal from Afghanistan. Karmon also told reporter Arieh O'Sullivan that the Israeli crackdown on the Islamic Jihad and others in the West Bank city of Jenin was because it had become a den of terror that even the Palestinian Authority security forces were unable to enter.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Assaf is the Co-Founder and CEO of TurnoverBNB, a platform for short-term rental hosts and cleaners to connect and automatically manage their vacation rental cleaning schedules. Back before the pandemic, I had several conversations with various providers about outsourcing my entire Housekeeping department. Since those days, gig-work has become more mainstream and outsourcing entire departments may simply be trading one set of issues for another - namely the ability to find and retain staff. That's why this conversation is so interesting to me. The short term rental space has been using gig-workers who set their own rates and availability for years but short of hiring temp-workers in hotels, this hasn't been a source of employees that has been explored at any great depth. And while I can hear all the reasons why hiring a gig-worker in housekeeping won't work, if you're struggling with recruiting or retention, this option deserves a look even if it means that your operation would have to bend a little to accommodate. I continue to be amazed by the overlap between short-term rentals and hotels, and this conversation has the wheels turning about where the former can help the later and raise the bar for everyone. About AssafBorn in Israel, Assaf went on to study computer science at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. Following college, he moved to the U.S. and worked for a few startups in New York City before relocating to Boston to work as an engineer at Nokia. Ultimately, his academic pursuits led him to the University of Hawaii where he earned his MBA through the Shidler College of Business. While in business school, he met his soon-to-be business partner, Tim Roy. Building a software business had always enticed Assaf. In their final semester of business school, he and Tim developed a business plan that would eventually become https://www.turnoverbnb.com/ (TurnoverBnB). In June 2017, they launched TurnoverBnB as the premier tool for short-term rental hosts and cleaners to connect and automatically manage their vacation rental cleaning schedules. Assaf is married and has two daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time outdoors and watching Manchester City play. Architecture and the Senses in the Italian Renaissance: The Varieties of Architectural Experience (Cambridge UP, 2021) is the first study of Renaissance architecture as an immersive, multisensory experience that combines historical analysis with the evidence of first-hand accounts. Questioning the universalizing claims of contemporary architectural phenomenologists, David Karmon emphasizes the infinite variety of meanings produced through human interactions with the built environment. His book draws upon the close study of literary and visual sources to prove that early modern audiences paid sustained attention to the multisensory experience of the buildings and cities in which they lived. Through reconstructing the Renaissance understanding of the senses, we can better gauge how constant interaction with the built environment shaped daily practices and contributed to new forms of understanding. Architecture and the Senses in the Italian Renaissance offers a stimulating new approach to the study of Renaissance architecture and urbanism as a kind of 'experiential trigger' that shaped ways of both thinking and being in the world. Architecture and the Senses in the Italian Renaissance offers a stimulating new approach to the study of Renaissance architecture and urbanism as a kind of 'experiential trigger' that shaped ways of both thinking and being in the world. Architecture and the Senses in the Italian Renaissance: The Varieties of Architectural Experience (Cambridge UP, 2021) is the first study of Renaissance architecture as an immersive, multisensory experience that combines historical analysis with the evidence of first-hand accounts. In this episode, Jeannette talks to the DJ, motorsports entrepreneur, musician, and public speaker Farah Nanji. She explains how a passion for karting and playing Spanish guitar helped her to overcome bullying and dyspraxia which is a developmental coordination disorder. An experience that inspired her to use those talents to help others to overcome adversity and find their way in life. Including helping companies to use sport to build, develop and inspire their teams. She explains how being diagnosed with dyspraxia affected her and the approach she took to minimise the negative impact it has on her. KEY TAKEAWAYS Music can transport you to another place and have a healing effect. Sport is about communication, about teamwork, breaking through your limits and being on the edge the whole time. You really can rewire the brain via sport and music. Meditation and yoga are powerful tools that anyone can use. Pushing yourself to do the things that are hardest for you is a sure way to get better at them. Diversity is important, make sure you encourage it by opening the door for others. If you believe in something, do it. Life is too short not to. Don't let fear stop you from starting. Every successful person will have experienced failures. Social media is powerful but getting out there and meeting your audience or customer is still vital. Be yourself, people are going to judge you regardless. You can be good at several things. But it is best to focus on building up expertise in one thing at a time. BEST MOMENTS ‘The music that I select, and curate means something to people. It takes them to another place. ´ ‘Taking care of your body and mind is so important.' ‘Value every single day. Just seize that day.' This is the perfect time to get focused on what YOU want to really achieve in your business, career, and life. It's never too late to be BRAVE and BOLD and unlock your inner BRILLIANCE. Fascinated with the ancient art of the warrior since she was a child, NINJA has spent her whole life honing her craft; from playing instruments at a young age, to being trained by the renowned Buddha Bar Group in her teenage years. All roads have led to her being globally recognised as a DJ and thought leader in her field today. Inspired by ethnic roots from the Indian and African sub-continents, she paints her creative canvas through an extraordinary exploration of live sounds and enchanting frequencies, from the electric guitar to the sitar. These sounds create hypnotic portals which are looped into pulsating waves of deep tech and techno, transporting listeners into the ultimate meditative zone. She is currently writing her debut album, The 13th Code, a deep exploration of planetary frequencies with numerology. Farah is passionate about driving change around the world through her own leadership and humanitarian initiatives while challenging the status quo. Trained as a journalist with the Ibiza Paper in 2014, Farah has since interviewed some of the biggest change makers in the industry such as Pete Tong as well as warming up for prolific artists like Nicole Moudaber, Subb-An, Pete Tong, Fur Coat, Blond:ish, My Favourite Robot, Third Son, Roger Sanchez, Deadmau5, Karmon, HVOB, Stimming & more. She is also a highly accomplished public speaker and is one of the few DJs in the world to deliver a TEDx talk, which took place in the Luxembourg Philharmonie in 2019. BRP 271 - SPARROX https://soundcloud.com/sparroxofficial Shlomi Rossi a.k.a DJ SparroX 'Touching melodies with low beats and lots of soul' Thatís how SparroX describes himself as a DJ. Never afraid to go too deep, his emotive musical selections are his own therapy. Having grown up in a house where heard authentic folk music, he began to hear music from all over the world, and was a passionate collector of records, on whom he had spent all his pocket money. The styles varied from Pop to Rock, R&B to Disco, Classical music to Electronic music. All these styles found their way to the musical uniqueness he had developed, which defines him as a DJ and as a producer. Sparrox has a 20-year record as DJ, and he is playing on the biggest stages in the local scene, in front of an audience of 5000 and more. In recent years he has focused mainly on his work, and often plays his original music that has gained audiences in the circles which he participates. He plays long sets (sometimes 10 hours in a row) because "That's the best way he knows to tell a whole story to the audience", he says. 1.The Juan Maclean 'A Simple Design' (Deetron Remix) 2.Third Son - Film Score (Rauschhaus Remix) 3.Zombies In Miami - Odissey (Frankey & Sandrino Remix) 4.H.O.S.H - Return of the Air (original mix) 5.Paolo Martini ñ Shoulda Left Ya (Original Mix) 6.Lenny Kravitz - Believe In Me (Belocca Edit) 7.Pascal Pur - Shifting (Original Mix) 8.Piemont - Creep Back (Original Mix) 9.Gabriel Carminatti - Montag (Original Mix 2.0) 10.Ben B?hmer - Purple Line 11.Florian Kruse & Raphael Hofman - Korvatunturi (Original Mix) 12.Dirty Doering - Befok 13.HOSH - Awakening Of The Birds (feat. Welcome to Showcasing House Music DJ Mixes by dattrax!! It was with great sadness as we saw facebook light up with 'Rest in Peace' shout outs to "Romanthony" (real name Anthony Moore, 1967 – May 2013). In Toronto we grew up with Romanthony records like his four-vinyl "Romanworld" compilation, and singles in that album and pre-dated that album like "Now You Want Me" (a Toronto anthem at 3am sat. ngt. warehouse sessions- one of our favourite instrumental house tracks). Other fav vinyls like "Testify", "Trojan Horse", "Bring U Up" and everyone's favorite "Let Me Show You Love".Time moves past us relentlessly and we have to be thankful and make the best of each day. Mr. Moore's music will influence many many house lovers, djs, producers & vocalists to come. The great thing about this house music we love is that it's built on the shoulders of giants.
