Con la fine delle grandi invasioni barbariche, nell'Europa del tardo medioevo, si ha una generale crescita del benessere economico e, nonostante le carestie continuino a mietere vittime, anche un diffuso aumento demografico. Commercio e agricoltura si potenziano, le città si ingrandiscono, sorgono nuovi borghi e castelli e si definiscono le maggiori corti presso le principali città europee, che subito divengono importanti centri di sviluppo culturale e artistico, nascono le prime corporazioni di insegnanti ed allievi che presto diventeranno università. Anche se il cristianesimo rimane fondamentale motivo ispiratore di tutte le espressioni artistiche, progressivamente si affacciano nuove esperienze che tendono a distaccarsi dalla pratica religiosa ed hanno come oggetto l'uomo con i suoi sentimenti o sono ispirate dall'ambiente naturale. La pratica musicale quindi non è più soltanto legata alla preghiera ma inizia ad acquisire un valore espressivo autonomo, una maggiore dignità artistica.

Un brano dedicato al field recorder raccontato ne Gli uomini pesce di WM1. Note di Luca Casarotti. Della vita affollata di SonicAlly si sa molto. Del suo metodo di lavoro, anche, si sa qualcosa. Eccolo che sistema i microfoni per una registrazione d'ambiente. Adesso invece è a casa, vestito da fan di Stockhausen (perché si dovrebbe non esserlo, poi?), mentre cava musica dall'ambiente che ha registrato. Musica a metronomo lentissimo, sentiamo: dai 10 ai 40 battiti per minuto. Il close-up è stretto, ma non tanto da lasciarci vedere cosa c'è sullo schermo del suo computer. Che programmi audio userà Sonic? È uno di quelli hardcore, che si scrivono il software con cui suonano? Ma no, avrei trovato il suo repository su GitHub. I compositori-programmatori spesso fanno così: pubblicano il disco e mettono a disposizione anche il codice sorgente. Alla prima occasione, comunque, devo chiedergli un po' di technicalities. Qui intanto c'è un mio brano ispirato alla sua musica. L'ho registrato l'estate scorsa, insieme agli altri che finiranno nel primo di tre dischi a titolo La fortuna e il controllo, e scrivendolo farò finta che non sia pericolosissimo annunciare un progetto prima di averne realizzato almeno la metà. Il titolo allude allo spunto compositivo comune ai tre dischi: ossia, indirizzare in tempo reale un evento sonoro imprevisto e parzialmente imprevedibile, dove il controllo in tempo reale è in capo all'esecutore umano, mentre l'evento imprevisto è prodotto dalla macchina suonante. Insomma, un modo d'improvvisare e di scrivere fin troppo chiaramente (e quindi non molto) allegorico: non lo direste mai, ma c'entra anche Brian Eno. In ciascun volume sarà diversa la tecnica esecutiva. Nel primo, quello già registrato, tutti i brani sono realizzati con il software: gli strumenti fisici torneranno nel secondo e nel terzo volume. Anche la decisione di dedicare questo brano a Sonic non è stata predeterminata: piuttosto, è apparsa ovvia al primo riascolto. L'improvvisazione ha, appunto, un metronomo lentissimo; non ci sono vere e proprie registrazioni ambientali, ma i campioni audio che ho usato sono deformati al punto tale da sembrare un soundscape di fabbrica abbandonata. Come i suoni delle strutture metalliche battute dal vento, registrati all'ex zuccherificio Eridania, che ascoltiamo nell'album più recente di Sonic. Il titolo kafkian-ginzburghian-prosperiano, Un altro gioco di pazienza, è un monito al musicista: che non abbia fretta d'intervenire sui suoni nelle sue mani; che li lasci piuttosto, prima di rimpiazzarli, esprimere nell'interezza del loro corso. Possiamo dire: un tentativo di ecologia del suono? Luca Casarotti ha due personae. Una di storico del diritto, con la quale scrive principalmente per Jacobin; l'altra di musicista e critico musicale, con la quale ha scritto principalmente per All About Jazz. Su Giap entrambe le personae si sono affacciate a più riprese. Nell'archivio del blog si trovano sue improvvisazioni sia in solo sia con Wu Ming 1, e diversi interventi a commento della musica suonata nell'ambito della Wu Ming Foundation.

Ambientata nella Parigi vitale e autunnale degli anni Venti, Razmataz celebra – dietro la misteriosa scomparsa di una ballerina – l'attesa e l'arrivo in Europa della bellezza della giovane musica americana, il jazz. Constituye una fuente de ingresos clave para Panamá a través de los peajes que se cobran a los barcos que pasan por el canal. La construcción del Canal de Panamá representó una monumental hazaña de ingeniería que exigió superar importantes retos, como un terreno accidentado, densas selvas tropicales y la necesidad de atravesar la divisoria continental. El dólar estadounidense ha sido una de las monedas oficiales de Panamá durante más de un siglo. Su uso se remonta a principios del siglo XX, durante la construcción del Canal de Panamá, cuando se convirtió en la moneda preferida dentro de la Zona del Canal de Panamá. Ciudad de Panamá, la vibrante capital de Panamá, está rodeada de verdes reservas naturales y espacios verdes. El Parque Nacional Metropolitano, de aproximadamente 232 hectáreas dentro de los límites de la ciudad, destaca por ser uno de los pocos parques urbanos del mundo que cuenta con un bosque tropical húmedo. Panamá alberga más de 10.000 especies de plantas, 1.500 de árboles y unas 1.000 de aves, lo que la convierte en un paraíso para los ornitólogos. Sus selvas tropicales están repletas de fauna exótica, como perezosos, monos, jaguares, tapires y un sinfín de reptiles y anfibios. Hay 3 volcanes en Panamá. Entre los volcanes más notables de Panamá están el Volcán Barú, el Volcán de Chiriquí y el Volcán El Valle. El Volcán Barú, situado cerca de la frontera con Costa Rica, en la provincia de Chiriquí, es el pico más alto de Panamá, con una altura aproximada de 3.474 metros. Aunque se considera inactivo más que activo, sigue siendo un importante accidente geológico de la región. Panamá tiene la segunda mayor zona franca del mundo. La Zona Libre de Colón, situada cerca de la ciudad de Colón, en la costa caribeña de Panamá, ocupa más de 1.000 hectáreas y se considera un importante centro de comercio internacional. Como una de las mayores zonas francas del mundo, la ZLC es un motor económico vital para Panamá, que atrae a miles de empresas internacionales y genera importantes ingresos para el país.
