Walnut GroveCast - An Interview with Suzy Barbieri AKA Leslie Barton
Suzy Barbieri is an actress who many who listen to this show will recognize as "Leslie Barton", Albert’s love interest in the episode, “Dearest Albert I’ll Miss You”. After Little House on the Prairie Suzy also worked on classic tv series such as Cagney and Lacey and starred in the films, Skyward and Skyward Christmas. In 2002 she produced the film, Blue Crush which had stars such as Michelle Rodriguez and Kate Bosworth. I was honored to have Suzy accept my invitation to come onto Walnut GroveCast to speak with me about her role on LHOTP as well as her career. A special thank you to Warren Croom for helping me get the interview request to Suzy. I hope you enjoy this interview! I sat down with Leslie Barton and Kristofer Royer on a cold and rainy afternoon. We enjoyed traditional wings from the The Vig and Royer & Barton went deep on comedy, relationships and wings. Listen as Kristofer breaks down love and attraction while Leslie sees through my desperation act and stares into my soul. Like great art you’ll want to listen to the whole thing and judge for yourself and enjoy as I try to wrangle these two maniacs.
Leslie Barton stops by for some debauchery this week, kicking us off with a haunting cover of love in an elevator. We all diverge into the usual twisted conversation and madness from there, things get pretty sweaty. We are also pleased to announce the Big Pine Comedy festival in Flagstaff, AZ has booked The Sweat to do a live show! Mark your calendars and get to the fest September 19-22!

Well, the first session of Guest Therapist with Leslie Barton was a huge liked success. And, to think, I produced it whilst having another daily mental breakdown. I'm amazomatic! And, so. We did a second episode. This time with guest therapist Dr. Brian King. Now, the good doctor isn't really a doctor. Then again, I'm not really a fake patient. (I'll give you a minute...) So....Session Two with Guest Therapist Dr. Brian King was recorded last week and is now presented to you in its entirety of manic insanity. Actually, the "Doc" was actually very helpful. Not the funniest of episodes because he took the subject seriously. Having said that, Dr. Brian King is always funny, informative and refreshing. So, there. Session Three with Guest Therapist Dave Sirus was recorded after that and currently in the process of editing and production. I've had the flu really bad for a couple of weeks, which has made it almost impossible to concentrate. My apologies to the fans of the show and guests. Oh, one more thing. If you like the show, please donate. The donate through Stripe is being set up in the next week and the show is currently being cleared for iTunes. In the mean time, the only way to get any cash for this effort is through PayPal. I know a lot of you guys don't like PayPal for some reason. I have been using it for years and find it the most straight forward simple way to transfer money. In any case, that's all we have right now. Thanks for your support. LIVE from Genevieve's house! This was a BLAST! We had our first Golden Girls podcast with a live audience with special guests, the unpredictable Leslie Barton (@yorbeautifl, Hashtag Comedy Corner, The What The F*ck Variety Hour) and the outstanding Shawn Collins (@theBullyMammoth, Bully Mammoth Sketch Comedy, Cinester Theater)! We wined and dined on Golden Girls sangria, palm tree cookies and meatballs a la Sophia as we watched the one where Dorothy's son and Rose's daugther get caught banging in Blanche's room. We talked about sex thirsty banana beds, dirty saxophones and goofing on bums. Music by Mike Dennison (@mikd33) and Brian Kokernak (@kokernutz). Zed Phillips (@zedphillips) opened the show.
Recorded live from ThirdSpace in Phoenix, AZ as part of Matt Micheletti's (@onmattalon) "Comedy Avengers" show benefiting the Boys & Girls Club. Special Guests: Steve Maxwell (@ComedyOnTap), Ben Jamming, Ali Musa (@AliM1986) and Leslie Barton (@yorbeautfl). Music by Nerdzerker (https://www.youtube.com/user/NERDZERKER). Produced by Josh Lopez (@GameRushmore, gamerushmore.onsouthernroad.com)
The wildly hysterical Michelle Biloon (@biloon, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Chelsea Lately) joined us to watch the next episode of the Golden Girls and Leslie Barton (@yorbeautifl, Leslie's Comedy Corner, Space 55) guest co-hosted for Genevieve! Hooray! We watched the one where Rose dates a little person and everyone freaks out; it is 1985 after all! We talked about littleneck clams, CPR gangbangs and uncircumsiced gingerbread men.
Someone tries to Kickstart a board game based on the Ukrainian revolution, a booby-trapped house is put up for sale, and Rupert Murdoch makes some ignorant tweets. Special Guest: Leslie Barton (@yorbeautfl)
Okay, this was SO MUCH FUN! We had the super funny and rambunctious, Leslie Barton (@yorbeautifl, Leslie's Comedy Corner, Space 55) watch the next episode of da Golden Girls with us! In this one, Blanche's dumb, allegedly, 14-year-old grandson comes to visit and he shakes things up with his popped collar and talkin' all 80's slangy. We discussed the Miami Vice TV crew, "one-eyed pigs" and SEX in the 80's!
