Chiunque avesse voluto incontrarla poteva trovarla immancabilmente o a casa, a filare o cucire, o in chiesa a pregare.

Medicus Pharma CEO Dr Raza Bokhari joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce that detailed clinical data for Teverelix, the Company's long-acting gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) antagonist, have been accepted for e-Poster presentation at the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology (AACE) Annual Meeting, taking place April 22–24 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The acceptance represents an important milestone in advancing the clinical profile of Teverelix and increasing its visibility within the endocrinology and women's health communities. Bokhari explained that the accepted abstract, titled “Evaluation of Teverelix,” summarizes results from two randomized, placebo-controlled Phase I clinical studies involving a total of 48 healthy premenopausal women. The studies were designed to assess the drug's pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, including how Teverelix is absorbed, its ability to suppress key reproductive hormones, its effects on bone turnover markers, and its overall safety following a single subcutaneous injection. Across both studies, participants received single doses of Teverelix at 30 mg, 45 mg, or 60 mg, or placebo, and were monitored for approximately one month. The Phase I results demonstrated rapid and reversible suppression of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), with hormone reductions observed within 24 hours of dosing. Estradiol suppression was dose-dependent and reversible, with multiple participants achieving levels within the clinically relevant Barbieri window of 30–50 pg/mL, a range associated with symptom control while reducing the risk of bone loss. The data also showed sustained pharmacodynamic activity, with hormone suppression lasting up to two to three weeks following a single injection at higher dose levels. Importantly, bone turnover markers remained stable throughout the observation period, suggesting no evidence of short-term bone loss. Teverelix was generally well tolerated, with a favorable safety profile, no drug-related serious adverse events, and only mild-to-moderate treatment-emergent adverse events reported. Bokhari also provided an update on Skinject, the company's flagship asset targeting non-melanoma skin cancers. He confirmed a 90-patient phase two study is complete, and that Medicus Pharma is approaching a database lock and data analysis phase, with results anticipated to align with strong interim data. #proactiveinvestors #nasdaq #mdcx #tsxv #mdcx #pharma #Biotech #CancerTreatment #ClinicalTrials #FDAApproval #SkinCancer #HealthcareInnovation #Investing #MedicalResearch #SkinCancer #BasalCellCarcinoma #BiotechNews #CancerResearch #GorlinSyndrome #BasalCellCarcinoma #CompassionateUse #FDAApproval #RareDiseaseTreatment #NoninvasiveTherapy #BiotechNews

Matthew 22:15-22 The Plot Initiated (vv. 15-17) Freak Companions False coaxing Fallacious Conundrum The Profile Imprinted (vv. 18-20) Show Me the money Show Me the image" The Point Illustrated (vv. 21-22) A horizontal philosophy that which is Caesars A vertical reality that which is Gods More to Consider Jesus was aware of the hypocrisy in their approach and also of the implications of His answer. He therefore answered their question by demonstrating that government does have a rightful place in everyones life and that one can be in subjection to government and God at the same time. He asked them to give Him a coin used to pay the tax. A Roman denarius, with its image of Caesar, the Roman emperor, made it obvious they were under Roman authority and taxation. (One coin inscription reads, Tiberius Caesar Augustus, son of the Divine Augustus.) Therefore the taxes must be paid: Give to Caesar what is Caesars. But Jesus also reminded them that a sphere of authority belongs to God: Give to God what is Gods. Individuals are to be subject also to His authority. Man has both political and spiritual responsibilities. Amazed at Jesus answer, both the Pharisees and the Herodians were silenced. Barbieri, L. A., Jr. (1985). Matthew. In J. F. Walvoord R. B. Zuck (Eds.), The Bible Knowledge Commentary: An Exposition of the Scriptures (Vol. 2, p. 72). Victor Books. Man bears Gods image and owes God his all. Caesars image was on the coin; Gods image is on man (Gen. 1:2627). Sin has marred that image, but through Jesus Christ, it can be restored (Eph. 4:24; Col. 3:10). The relationship between religion and government is personal and individual. It is right for the people of God to serve in government (remember Daniel and Joseph). But it is wrong for government to control the church, or for the church to control government. Wiersbe, W. W. (1996). The Bible exposition commentary (Vol. 1, p. 80). Victor Books. Nothing is known of the Herodians outside of the Gospels. Judging from their name, they were supporters of the Herodian dynasty in its collaboration with the Roman government. This would put them at the opposite end of the political spectrum from the Pharisees. Yet their common hatred of Christ was great enough that the Pharisees and Herodians joined forces against Him. Radmacher, E. D., Allen, R. B., House, H. W. (1999). Nelsons new illustrated Bible commentary (p. 1183). T. Nelson Publishers.

For the entire interview transcript, please click here.Natasha Barbieri is a New York–based mezzo-soprano and the founder of Crossover Music Magazine.  She's interviewed major crossover stars like Sarah Brightman, Paul Potts, and members of Celtic Woman. Beyond her editorial work, Natasha performs with her sister as the duo Crystal & Natasha and is also known as “A Singing Wife.” Her mission is to uplift musicians who are blending classical music with modern influences — all while staying true to who they are. What You'll LearnDiscover what classical crossover really means and why it's more than just mixing genres — it's about honoring tradition while staying true to your creative voice. Natasha Barbieri shares how authenticity sets great artists apart, why gimmicks don't last, and what musicians can do to build a lasting presence. You'll also learn how to approach media coverage the right way, how to prepare yourself with the right materials, and what makes artists stand out to editors like her. Natasha also opens up about her own journey, why she created Classical Crossover Magazine, and how she's now helping musicians succeed through artist coaching, storytelling, and media strategy.Things We DiscussedWe talked about how classical crossover is about “not letting the tradition get stagnant, bringing some new life to it.” Natasha reflects on artists who innovate naturally, saying, “The successful people — it's authentic. They're not staying in one box. They're bringing new palettes into what they do.”She shares insights on working with big names: “Some of the most successful people are the easiest to work with. They're kind, generous, and prepared. Sarah Brightman could not have been nicer.”For artists looking to gain media attention, Natasha offers real advice: “Know your USP. (Unique Selling Point) Get organized with your materials. Give something exclusive. You can't be everything — so figure out what makes you different.”We also touched on her possible coaching program for artists, which would include one-on-one sessions, help with telling their story, and planning media features that make a real impact.Connect with NatashaWebsiteSpotifyYouTubeFacebookConnect with Jason TonioliWebsite FacebookYouTube InstagramSpotifyPandoraAmazon MusicApple Music

Episode 176 Chapter 35, Live Electronic Music— Historical Practices. Works Recommended from my book, Electronic and Experimental Music  Welcome to the Archive of Electronic Music. This is Thom Holmes. This podcast is produced as a companion to my book, Electronic and Experimental Music, published by Routledge. Each of these episodes corresponds to a chapter in the text and an associated list of recommended works, also called Listen in the text. They provide listening examples of vintage electronic works featured in the text. The works themselves can be enjoyed without the book and I hope that they stand as a chronological survey of important works in the history of electronic music. Be sure to tune-in to other episodes of the podcast where we explore a wide range of electronic music in many styles and genres, all drawn from my archive of vintage recordings. There is a complete playlist for this episode on the website for the podcast. Let's get started with the listening guide to Chapter 35, Live Electronic Music— Historical Practices from my book Electronic and Experimental music.   Playlist: LIVE ELECTRONIC MUSIC—HISTORICAL PRACTICES   Time Track Time Start Introduction –Thom Holmes 01:34 00:00 1.     Karlheinz Stockhausen, “Mikrophonie I” (1964) from Mikrophonie I · Mikrophonie II.   Mikrophonist 1, Johannes Fritsch; Mikrophonist 2, Harald Bojé; Electronic Filters and Potentiometers 1, Karlheinz Stockhausen; Electronic Filters and Potentiometers 2, Hugh Davies, Jaap Spek; Tam-tam, Aloys Kontarsky; Tam-tam, Fred Alings.  Brüsseler Version 1965 recorded at WDR, Cologne. 07:24 01:42 2.     AMM, “In The Realm Of Nothing Whatever” (1966) from AMMMusic 1966. Live electronics, David Tudor, Takehisa Kosugi. Used transducers to amplify objects. Recorded by Rob Miller. 21:50 53:10 5.     Karlheinz Stockhausen, “Kurzwellen” (1968), excerpt from Festival of Hits. Composed By, Mixed By, Electronics, Filters, Potentiometers, Karlheinz Stockhausen; Electronium, Harald Bojé; Tamtam, Alfred Alings, Rolf Gehlhaar; Piano, Aloys Kontarsky; Electric Viola, Johannes G. Fritsch. This is the opening of this long work, excerpted for this strange collection of greatest “hits” by Stockhausen (you had to be in 1970 to understand this). Kurzwellen is a piece where the musicians need to improvise and react to signals they receive on randomly tuned shortwave radios. This is from the Cologne recording made in the Rhenus studio in Godorf for the Cologne Radio (WDR, Westdeutscher Rundfunk Köln) on the 8th and 9th of April 1969 (53'30), which was record 2 of the original 2-record set. By the way, this ensemble also featured the Electronium Pi, made by Hohner beginning in 1952. It was a monophonic, electronic keyboard instrument and was an add-on instrument for the piano mounted under the keyboard, which is the model used by Stockhausen. His keyboardist, while Harald Bojé used the accordion-like model. 06:19 01:14:56 6.     The Music Improvisation Company, “Tuck” (1970) from The Music Improvisation Company. Electric Guitar, Derek Bailey; Live Electronics, Hugh Davies; Percussion, Jamie Muir; Soprano Saxophone, Evan Parker. 03:00 01:21:14 7.     David Tudor, “Rainforest IV” (1973) from Rainforest IV.  Composed in 1973 by David Tudor; performed by Composers Inside Electronics (David Tudor, Martin Kalve, Philip Edelstein, Ralph Jones, Bill Viola, John Driscoll). Recorded at the exhibition "Für Augen und Ohren - Von der Spieluhr zum akustischen (Environment (For eyes and ears - from the mechanical clock to the acoustic environment)" at the Akademie der Künste, Berlin, January 1980. 25:12 01:24:24 8.     Maryanne Amacher, “"Head Rhythm 1" And "Plaything 2" (1999) from Sound Characters (Making The Third Ear). Electroacoustic composer of sound installations, best known for her incorporation of otoacoustic emissions -- sounds that seem to be emanating from inside one's own head. This track plays with that concept and sets your brain up to experience itself, so to speak. 10:04 01:49:36 9.     Caroline Park, “Grain 5” (2011) from Grain. This is a cassette release by Park, often known her for generative composition work and electronic improvisations based on parameters that she defines. Recorded, performed by Caroline Park. 09:05 01:59:32 10.   Caterina Barbieri. “This Causes Consciousness To Fracture” (2017) from Patterns Of Consciousness.  Italian composer and musician from Bologna. This album was created using analog synthesis. Barbieri has said, “In Patterns of Consciousness I was interested in exploring the power of sound on our consciousness. I wanted to explore how a pattern creates a certain state of consciousness and how the gradual transformation of that pattern can affect that state of consciousness. I believe that sound is a tool for the exploration, reconfiguration and expansion of human perceptions.” I find this to be in a similar psychological vein as the Amacher work also heard in this episode. 22:44 02:08:36 11.   Sarah Davachi, “First Cadence” (2021) from Antiphonals. Composed, recorded, performed, Mellotron (bass flute, recorder, oboe), Tape Echo, Sarah Davachi. 05:48 02:31:20 12.   Asha Tamirisa, “Live Performance,”(2023) at the Waterworks 2023: Festival of Experimental Sound. Laptop synthesis, snare drums, Asha Tamirisa. Soundtrack for a video recorded by Wenhua Shi & Nick Stevens, video editing by Nick Stevens, and audio recording and mixing, Matthew Azevedo. 25:10 02:37:02   Additional opening, closing, and other incidental music by Thom Holmes. Darkness Radio presents:  Revealing The Lost Monster Files with Field Science & Tech Specialist,  Charlie Mewshaw & Cryptozoologist, Brittany Barbieri! For the first time in over 50 years, the recently uncovered case files of renowned cryptozoologist Ivan Sanderson – including the evidence and artifacts from his most compelling hunts for cryptids, or legendary and unknown species – are being reexamined during the all-new series LOST MONSTER FILES  on Discovery Channel, ,Wednesdays at 10PM ET/PT.   The series features a team of experts who gained exclusive access to Sanderson's detailed research and will use it to reinvestigate his most prominent unfinished cases. The team will focus on present day sightings such as the Abominable Snowman and Chupacabra to determine if modern science and technology can bring them closer to answers for these mysterious creatures. Biologist Ivan Sanderson, a founder of Cryptozoology , amassed the most extensive collection of unexplained creature research on earth. Following his death in 1973, the archive was kept hidden. Now, the team will apply long-hidden insights and clues from Sanderson's physical specimens, journals and audio recordings to new field investigations, using tools and evidence not available in Sanderson's day. On Today's show, we chat with Field Science & Tech Specialist, Charlie Mewshaw and Cryptozoologist Brittany Barbieri about the background of the show, the actual evidence found, Sanderson's treasure trove of files, naming a new genome of species, and how much is too much danger when dealing with some of these creatures and trying to capture it on film!
