How long should a music career last? The thing about Kenyan musicians is that once they've had their fill of the industry they introduce us to new artists then fall off. As much as this does work in refreshing the voices and stories we see on the scene, is it the best way? In this episode Eugene explores what it means to have a long game plan. How it could work out if you (my dear career artist) stuck around and grew instead of caving in. Also, we listen to some throwback tracks from Sauti Sol and Camp Mullah plus a new track off The Stash EP by JakkQuill.

We make playlists to fit out current moods. We go to certain clubs because we know they have the music we like. We are constantly looking for music that connects with us in a different way from just partying and celebrating. On this episode of #otbodke LaMuicJunkie and I tackle the issue of humanity in music. We talk about how artists should stop seeing themselves as just stars but human beings with human problems and emotions. How we would like to see them transfer those emotions and human moments to their music and make us feel something as we get to see their human side. Of course, the playlist is filled with artists who have achieved this. Listen in and tell us what you think on our socials @otbpodke

Most of us music fans are always the first to complain when an artist puts out a wack project, some even going to the extent of sharing bad music just to get more negative reviews about it. Well, this has to change. If you're keen on artist interviews, especially upcoming artists, you will notice when asked the about their genre of music most will claim they do everything or generalize their answers. This might be good in showing how diverse you are as an artist but, it is my opinion that we should all have that one genre that you are extremely good at. In this episode I discuss this issue and as always play you good music. Listen, like, share and tell me what you think about the episode.
