Se vi entusiasmano i raccontini di Barbero sul medioevo e su Dante, questo video non fa per voi. Il target è decisamente più alto.Rino Caputo e Vincenzo Vespri svelano i riferimenti scientifici (dell'epoca) e matematici che Dante ha disseminato nei versi della Divina Commedia e delle sue altre opere. Da questi temi poi si spazia tra filosofia, numerologia, teologia, arte, letteratura, partita doppia, senza trascurare le contaminazioni tra Indiani, Arabi ed Europei che estendono la loro influenza fino ai nostri giorni.La numerologia del 2025 2025 è il quadrato di 45 ( 9 per 5). È il quadrato dei primi 9 numeri ( ossia è (1 + 2 + ...+ 9) ^2) ed è anche la somma dei cubi dei primi 9 numeri ( 1^3 + 2"3 + ....+9^3). Galaten (5 minuten) In Paulus' tijd was Galatië een regio in Klein-Azië, grofweg het huidige Turkije. Een interessant weetje is dat hier veel Galliërs woonden die enkele eeuwen daarvoor, vanuit wat nu Frankrijk is, waren verhuisd. Uiteindelijk veroverden de Romeinen deze regio. Paulus stichtte kerken in enkele grote steden in het zuiden van Galatië: Antiochië, Ikonium, Lystra en Derbe. Je kunt hierover lezen in Handelingen 13 en 14. De brief die wij ‘Galaten' noemen, is gericht aan de kerken in de hele regio. En hij is niet mals. We hadden natuurlijk in Handelingen al gezien dat er veel strijd was tussen de Joodse en de niet-Joodse volgelingen van Jezus. Het ging dan om de vraag of de wetten en voorschriften uit het Oude Testament moesten worden nageleefd. De Joden hielden zich nog steeds aan de gebruiken en wilden dat de niet-Joden dat ook gingen doen. De ‘wet' hoorde er gewoon bij en wilde je bij Gods familie horen, dan moest je je daaraan houden. Paulus teleurgesteld Het ging zelfs zover dat deze Joodse christenen hun niet-Joodse broeders wilden dwingen zich te laten besnijden. Velen ondergingen deze pijnlijke operatie. Toen Paulus dit hoorde, was hij zwaar teleurgesteld en gefrustreerd. Hij schreef daarom deze brief, waarschijnlijk kort na het jaar 49. Hij vermeldt namelijk de Jeruzalem-conferentie waarin de kerkleiders met elkaar discussieerden over de wet en deze bijeenkomst vond waarschijnlijk plaats in 49. Het zit Paulus hoog dat de christenen in Galatië de lijn hebben gekozen dat mensen zich nog steeds aan de wet moeten houden om te worden gered. Dat is een verdraaiing van het evangelie. Jezus redt, niet de Wet. Twee dingen vallen op in deze brief. Ten eerste dat Paulus geen positief woord over heeft voor de christenen en ten tweede dat deze brief heel erg lijkt op de brief aan de Romeinen, die Paulus een jaar of tien later zou schrijven. Dezelfde thema's komen aan bod, al is de brief voor de gelovigen in Rome een stuk positiever. Samenvatting van het goede nieuws Paulus geeft eerst een samenvatting van het goede nieuws en vertelt hoe God hem heeft gered, terwijl hij nota bene de christenen vervolgde. God koos hem uit om het evangelie aan de niet-Joden te vertellen. Na zijn bekering op de weg naar Damascus bracht Paulus drie jaar door in Arabië, het huidige Jordanië. Pas daarna bezocht Paulus Jeruzalem, waar hij sprak met ‘Kefas'. Kefas is een andere naam voor Petrus. Vervolgens ging Paulus evangeliseren onder de heidenen en hij kwam pas veertien jaar later terug in Jeruzalem. Hij sprak daar met de leiders van de kerk en vertelde hun dat in de kerken die hij had gesticht, de niet-Joden zich niet hoefden te laten besnijden. De kerkleiders in Jeruzalem waren het met hem eens. Toch kwam het enige tijd later tot een confrontatie met Petrus. Want toen Petrus op bezoek ging in Antiochië, ging hij opeens alleen met de Joden eten, en niet met de niet-Joodse kerkleden. Paulus riep hem openlijk ter verantwoording en Petrus verontschuldigde zich. (Die arme Petrus. In de evangeliën moet Jezus hem regelmatig corrigeren, nu zoveel jaar later doet Paulus dat.) Paulus vat dit als volgt samen: ‘Hoewel wij Joden van geboorte zijn en geen zondaars uit andere volken, weten we dat niemand als rechtvaardige wordt aangenomen door de wet na te leven, maar door het geloof in Jezus Christus. Ook wij zijn tot geloof in Christus Jezus gekomen om daardoor, en niet door de wet, rechtvaardig te worden, want niemand wordt rechtvaardig door de wet na te leven.' - Galaten 2:15-16 Met ‘rechtvaardig worden' bedoelt hij dat we vrijgemaakt zijn van zonde en dus weer bij God kunnen komen. Je houden aan Gods voorschriften is goed, maar kan je innerlijk niet schoonmaken. In mijn woorden: vergelijk jezelf eens met een spiegel. Door te zondigen, veeg je modder op die spiegel. Door niet te zondigen, wordt de spiegel niet smerig. Maar als de spiegel eenmaal vies is, hoe maak je die dan schoon? Jezus heeft dat gedaan. Als wij in Jezus geloven, wast God ons schoon van die zonden. God ziet de volmaaktheid van Jezus in ons Dat is belangrijk, omdat God volmaakt goed is. Hij kan geen onvolmaaktheid in Zijn nabijheid tolereren, want dan is Hij zelf niet meer volmaakt. Die standaard is voor ons te hoog gegrepen, zoals de wet heeft aangetoond. Door ons vertrouwen op Jezus te stellen, verbinden we ons met Hem. Als God naar ons kijkt, ziet Hij de volmaaktheid van Jezus. In Paulus' woorden: ‘Want ik ben gestorven door de wet en leef niet langer voor de wet, maar voor God. Met Christus ben ik gekruisigd: ikzelf leef niet meer, maar Christus leeft in mij. Mijn leven hier op aarde leef ik in het geloof in de Zoon van God, die mij heeft liefgehad en Zich voor mij heeft prijsgegeven.' - Galaten 2:19-20 Als je gelooft in Jezus, accepteer je het offer dat Hij heeft gebracht. Je bent nu met Hem gekruisigd en gestorven. De dood is de straf voor de zonde. Dus die straf is betaald. Je bent ook met Christus opgestaan. Hij leeft in jou en dus hoef je niet te leven voor de wet maar kun je leven voor God. Vertrouwen maakt rechtvaardig Dit is een bevrijdende waarheid. We hoeven niet te werken om rechtvaardig te worden. We zijn al rechtvaardig, omdat we in Jezus geloven. Dat principe gold trouwens ook al voordat Jezus voor ons stierf. Paulus toont aan dat Abraham vertrouwde op Gods belofte en dat maakte hem rechtvaardig. Iedereen die gelooft in Jezus, is dus een kind van Abraham. Maar iedereen die vertrouwt op de wet is vervloekt, want niemand kan zich daaraan houden. De poorten van het koninkrijk van God staan dus wijd open voor zowel Joden als niet-Joden. Het zijn niet Gods voorschriften die ons toegang verlenen, maar ons geloof in Jezus Christus. Waarom gaf God dan toch de wet? Paulus legt dit in Romeinen uitgebreider uit, maar ook hier laat hij zien dat de rol van de wet is om aan te tonen wat goed en niet goed is. De wet is goed, maar de idealen zijn te hoog gegrepen. Daarom was Jezus' offer nodig. Zijn offer was in eerste instantie bestemd voor Israël, maar zeker ook voor de niet-Joden. Vanuit Israël verspreidt de zegen van God zich over de wereld, precies zoals God duizenden jaren geleden tegen Abraham zei. Abrahams nageslacht zou de aarde zegenen. Hoe dan? In de eerste plaats doordat Jezus een afstammeling is van Abraham en in de tweede plaats doordat het goede nieuws zich vanuit Israël verspreidde over de rest van de wereld. Gods Geest in ons Omdat Jezus voor ons de wet heeft vervuld, hoeven we ons aan veel voorschriften niet meer te houden. Mannen hoeven niet besneden te worden en we mogen vrijwel al het voedsel eten dat de natuur ons te bieden heeft. Maar stelen, overspel plegen, een ander haten, et cetera is natuurlijk nog steeds fout. Met dat soort zonden willen we afreken. Niet omdat de wet dit zegt, maar omdat de Geest van God nu in ons leeft. We proberen de ander lief te hebben zoals we onszelf lief hebben. De vrucht van de Geest is namelijk liefde, vreugde, geduld, vriendelijkheid, goedheid, geloof, zachtmoedigheid en zelfbeheersing. Als we leven door de Geest, worden we liefdevoller, ervaren we vreugde enzovoort. We leven nog steeds in een wereld met tekortkomingen en maken zelf ook fouten, maar het is mogelijk om de Geest ons leven te laten leiden. Hier mogen we wél voor werken. Dan gaan we steeds meer op Jezus lijken. We proberen te stoppen met slechte gewoontes en gedrag dat niet past bij een christen. We werken dus niet voor onze verlossing. Jezus heeft ons al bevrijdt. Wij geloven in Hem, waardoor Gods Geest in ons werkzaam wordt. Daardoor kunnen wij aan onszelf werken en zo worden we de persoon die God in gedachten heeft als Hij aan ons denkt.

Quando si parla di Medio Oriente, le opinioni che tendono a prevalere – anzi, forse addirittura ad uniformarsi – sono quelle che, in maniera sostanzialmente trasversale, ci spiegano che la pace in Terra Santa diventerà una realtà soltanto il giorno in cui Israele accetterà la presenza di uno Stato palestinese ai suoi confini. E se diplomazie, università e media insistono su questo tasto con tanta convinzione, sarebbe sconsiderato non prestare, alle loro argomentazioni, tutta l'attenzione che indubbiamente meritano. A voler essere però storicamente precisi, bisogna pure riconoscere che, in origine, i primi a ragionare in termini di “due stati e due popoli”, sono stati proprio gli Israeliani, i quali, fin dal 29 novembre del 1947, accettarono la Risoluzione 181 dell'ONU che prevedeva la spartizione del territorio palestinese fra due istituendi Stati: uno ebraico, l'altro arabo, con Gerusalemme sotto controllo internazionale. Il rifiuto di questo Piano da parte del mondo arabo condurrà – come noto – allo scoppio della prima guerra arabo / israeliana del 1948. Ed a questo proposito, ricordiamo che le truppe di Egitto, Siria, Libano, Transgiordania e Iraq invasero Israele proprio il giorno dopo la sua nascita ufficiale: il 15 maggio 1948. Passano gli anni (e sono anni insanguinati da entrambe le parti), ma, nel luglio del 2000 – anfitrione il presidente Clinton – a Camp David l'allora premier israeliano Ehud Barak mostra di credere ancora alla soluzione dei “due stati”, offrendo a Yasser Arafat uno Stato palestinese su oltre il 94% della Cisgiordania, tutta Gaza e con capitale a Gerusalemme Est. Una soluzione decisamente favorevole che, tuttavia, il Rais sorprendentemente rifiuta. Otto anni più tardi un nuovo leader israeliano – questa volta si tratta di Ehud Olmert – si spinge persino oltre Camp David, proponendo al presunto “moderato” Abu Mazen, ulteriori scambi di territorio per compensare gli insediamenti, il controllo congiunto sui luoghi sacri di Gerusalemme ed un ritorno parziale dei rifugiati palestinesi. Anche in questo caso però, l'offerta non verrà presa in considerazione. Nel frattempo, nel 2005, Israele – sotto il governo del generale Ariel Sharon, la cui fama non è certamente quella di un mite fraticello di Assisi – ha provveduto al ritiro unilaterale da Gaza, smantellando 21 insediamenti e dislocando altrove oltre 9.000 coloni israeliani. In cambio della rinuncia totale al territorio, Tel Aviv non riceverà mai ringraziamenti o attestati di amicizia, ma dovrà invece accontentarsi di una pressoché quotidiana razione di missili provenienti proprio dalla Striscia, ormai divenuta il feudo di Hamas. Viene, pertanto, legittimo avanzare il sospetto che a dividere gli Arabi dagli Israeliani non siano tanto gli aspetti territoriali, quanto quelli identitari. In altre parole, il popolo palestinese è disposto a coesistere con quello ebraico? A noi pare, quindi, che, se davvero si vuole la pace, oltre a chiedere ad Israele alcune indispensabili concessioni territoriali, sia soprattutto prioritario domandare ai Palestinesi di chiarire, una volta per tutte, se sia maturato o meno il loro “si” ad una coesistenza irreversibile e senza retro pensieri. Gudrun Harrer in conversation with Amir Adly, Amr Hamzawy and Oraib Al-RantawiEGYPT AND JORDAN IN THE LIGHT OF THE GAZA WAR: ARAB POSITIONS FOR THE WAY FORWARD Egypt and Jordan are the most affected Arab states by the war in Gaza which followed the attack by Hamas on Israel on 7th October 2023. Immediate neighbours of the Gaza Strip and the Westbank respectively, they suffer dramatic direct economic, political and social impact which is adding to pre-existing vulnerabilities.Jordan has a majority population of Palestinian origin, Egypt has a deep historic relationship with the Gaza Strip which was under the administration of Cairo until the Israeli occupation in 1967. Among other economic woes, Egypt is confronted with a steep reduction of income from the Suez Canal due to the Yemeni Houthi's war against commercial shipping in the Red Sea in the name of assistance to Hamas.Furthermore, Cairo and Amman were worried by US president Donald Trump's remarks who seemed to favour Palestinian migration from the Gaza Strip to other countries, especially Egypt and Jordan. In the beginning of March, Egypt presented her own Gaza reconstruction plan, endorsed by the League of the Arab States. Support came recently from French President Emmanuel Macron at a summit with the leaders of Egypt and Jordan in Cairo.The panel will discuss the effect and impact of the Gaza war on the MENA region, Egypt and Jordan in particular, and the possible Arab path forward. What role for Europe in this scenario?Amr Adly is an associate professor in the department of political science at The American University in Cairo (AUC). He worked as a non-resident scholar at the Carnegie Middle East Center, where his research centered on political economy, development studies, and economic sociology of the Middle East, with a focus on Egypt. Adly has taught political economy at AUC and Stanford University. He is the author of cleft capitalism: the social origins of failed market-making in Egypt (Stanford University Press, 2020) and state reform and development in the Middle East: the cases of Turkey and Egypt (Routledge, 2012). He has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, including Geoforum, Business and Politics, the journal of Turkish Studies, and Middle Eastern Studies. Adly is also a frequent contributor to print and online news sources, including Bloomberg, Jadaliyya, and al-Manasa. Hacamatın en faydalı olduğu mevsimi sevgili Peygamberimiz (a.s.) bize kiraz yemeden evvel, yani yaz başlangıcı olarak bildirmiştir. Gün olarak da Arabi ayların 15, 17, 19, 21, 23'den itibaren ay sonuna kadar olan günleri tavsiye etmişlerdir. Hacamat için en uygun gün pazartesi gündür. Vakit olarak sabah erken hacamat yapılabildiği gibi, öğlen veya daha sonra da hacamat yapılabilir. Hatta bazı sahabe efendilerimizin bu gece hacamat yaptıkları rivayetlerde geçmektedir. Hacamatta vücudun dinlenmiş olması, uykusuz ve yorgun olmaması esas şarttır. Kan aldırma işini kamerî ayların ilk ve son günlerinde değil, dolunay veya dolunaydan sonraki günlerde yaptırmak en uygundur. Çünkü bu günler vücuttaki kanın en hareketli ve en çok olduğu günlerdir. Bu sağlıklı kimselerin sünnete uymak için yaptırdıkları ve sıhhat üzere devam etmeye vesile olan kanlandırmaları ile ilgilidir. Hasta kimseler ise durumlarına göre gece gündüz ve ihtiyaç duyulduğu her zaman kan aldırılabilirler, çünkü bunda zaruret vardır. Kan aldırmanın en uygun olduğu zamanlarda ilgili Peygamberimiz (a.s.) şöyle buyurmuştur: “Her kim ayın 17 19 ve 21 günlerinde kan aldırırsa birçok hastalıklardan şifa bulur.” (Ebu Davud) “Ayın 15'i 17 19 ve 21 günleri kan aldırınız zira bugünlerde kan hücuma geçerek sizden birinizi öldürmesin.” (İbn Mace, Tirmizi) “Sıcakların arttığı zaman kan aldırmakla sıcağın etkisini gidermeye çalışınız zira sıcakta sizden birinizin kanı hücuma geçerek onu öldürmesin.” (Hakim) İbn-i Milhan el-Kaysî (r.a.) demiştir ki: “Peygamber (s.a.v.) bize her ayın 13, 14, ve 15. günlerinde oruç tutmamızı tavsiye ederdi” (Ömer Muhammed Öztürk, Misvak ve Hacamat, s.70

He was a senior ABC television news analyst from 2000 until 2007.In this episode we first discuss Fawaz's most recent book, What Really Went Wrong: The West and the Failure of Democracy in the Middle East. This is an excellent historical study of the impact of US interventionist foreign policy in the Middle East in the post-WW2 era. It shows how the pursuit of stability, open commodity markets and anti-communism led the US to support and ally with anti-democratic autocrats throughout the region who eliminated legitimate nationalistic (and largely secular and democratic) political leaders. We see the consequences of these interventions in the region today.We then turn to a discussion of the current catastrophe in the Gaza, Israel and Lebanon. Fawaz and I disagree on many issues. For example, he paraphrases towards the end of our conversation a school of thought which has come to see Israel as the last, ‘Settler Colonial' state. I think this way of approaching the situation is an invitation to endless violence and despair. For a history of the evolution of this approach, I recommend On Settler Colonialism: Ideology, Violence and Justice by Adam Kirsch. There are also many things Fawaz says with which I agree. For example, his historical analysis of the monumental failure of US foreign policy seems to be me to be compelling. But my role as the host of this podcast is not to be a judge of other's views. In fact, what I agree with or do not agree with is not relevant. My job is to bring you views which may challenge your own; views which help us to understand the ways in which understandings and beliefs can be fundamentally different. The only way forward is to start with a genuine curiosity of what others think, believe and feel. Just as importantly, curiosity does not imply agreement. Too many times we pretend to attempt to understand something by seeking out others to confirm what we want to, or already believe. It is much better to be challenged by difference. From that starting point, we can, perhaps, begin to be able to predict and influence the future for the better. Fawaz is a thoughtful, careful, prolific and elegant scholar. While I may differ with him in some areas, I have never questioned his fundamental decency and humanity. I always learn and am challenged by our conversations together - which is a great gift. Mohammad Abutaha is Palestinian but grew up in Amman, Jordan and moved to America when he was 20 years old to study mechanical engineering. In 2015, he dropped out of university in his final year to pursue his dreams of owning a restaurant. Mohammad started as a dishwasher and worked his way up the kitchen ladder, working in iconic kitchens around the Bay Area including Reem's California. At the end of 2019, Mohammad and his brother Feras launched a shawarma pop-up, and then turned their pop-up into the brick and mortar restaurant Shawarmaji in December 2020.
