Come Follow Me: Mental Health Insights with Dr. David T. Morgan
This week we are studying Joseph Smith History verses one through twenty-six. This is one of the accounts of the First Vision as given by Joseph Smith. We'll talk about several truths that can help us manage our mental health. The first is the knowledge and hope that God is aware of us and has a plan for our success. The second is that we must act in faith in order to overcome the difficulties we face. The third is a pattern of anxiety management that can be found in a close study of the events surrounding the First Vision. There are free worksheets available for the invitations made in the weekly podcasts. To get these worksheets, please sign up for my email newsletter. "Peace Be Unto You" presented by Barnabas Grayson
We are starting a new series called Living in His Resurrection. In this first message called “Behind Closed Doors” here at Harvest Point Church is on a permanent fast. Join us as we fast from fear. Did you know Jesus commands us to fear not, or better still, let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid? In fact, this was His first message to the disciples when He rose from the tomb. Ironically, Jesus rose from the dead only to find His disciples had descended into their own tomb and locked the door behind them. Thankfully, Jesus enters in and declares "Peace Be Unto You!". Jesus desires His peace to be with you. Are you at peace? Do you have stress, worries, and anxieties in life? If so, take a moment to hear this message. It is a message backed by His blood and His command. Take a few moments to listen to this message. If you hear it and allow the Spirit to impress your heart and mind, it can transform your life in Christ. - Pastor
Peace Be Unto You! Pastor Prosper Etornam Dusi comes your way again with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. This episode is the last of the series that addresses the doctrine of praying in the name of the Father, Son & Holy Spirit. Stay Connected!
Jesus came to give us peace within and in trials without
Summary: The letter F has Martin and Georgia talking about the idea of “Formless,” Morton Feldman, Barbara Monk Feldman, Jürg Frey, Malachi Favors and Susanna Ferrar. Array to Zed is a monthly podcast exploring experimental music by way of the alphabet. Hosts Martin Arnold, Artistic Director of ArrayMusic, and Georgia Carley chat about the ideas, procedures, composers and music that make up that nebulous beautiful thing we call “Experimental Music.” Music Credits: Filament 1 is a recording made by Filament: who are Sachiko M (no-input sampler and tone generators) and Otomo Yoshihide (turntable and CD player) in 1998. They are also bandmates in the group Ground Zero. There is a fair amount of information about both artists and this recording on the internet. Morton Feldman is all over the internet. The cycle The Viola in My Life was begun in July 1970 in Honolulu (composed especially for Karen Phillips, resident performer at Hawaii University) and consists of four individual compositions utilizing various instrumental combinations with the viola. We played The Viola in My Life III, for viola and piano. Canadian composer Barbara Monk Feldman’s The Northern Shore is taken from a recording of the same name and is performed by violinist Marc Sabat, percussionist Dirk Rothbrust and Array Ensemble pianist Stephen Clarke. For more information, go to: www.moderecords.com/catalog/244_monk_feldman.html Jürg Frey is a Swiss composer and clarinetist and member of the Wandelweiser group. For more information, see: www.wandelweiser.de/juerg-frey.html and www.anothertimbre.com/freygrizzana.html Frey’s String Quartet no. 3 (the long piece that finishes this podcast) is performed by Montréal’s Quatuor Bozzini. Malachi Favors was the bassist for the Art Ensemble of Chicago until his death in 2004 and took part in many other projects, all pretty well documented throughout the internet. The excerpt from “Peace Be Unto You” (on which Favors plays all the instruments) is taken from his solo album Natural and the Spiritual (1977). Susanna Ferrar is a woefully underrepresented on the internet. Both pieces on this podcast are taken from her wonderful album A Boy Leaves Home (1997). Examples of Susan Ferrar’s work can be found at: https://vimeo.com/13958811 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9eovrgXjBWk
Can you be peaceful in the midst of stressful circumstances? Is your foundation shaken when life isn’t living up to your belief system? Pastor Kevin explains how to turn fear into assurance with his message “Peace Be Unto You.”
After His resurrection, Jesus came to His disciples who were "Huddled" together in fear, and said "Peace Be Unto You!" WOW... were they ever glad to see Him! Join Pastor Garry and get ready to break... "The Huddle Of Fear!"
The resurrection gives us a peace that the world can't
