Our beloved sister Fiona Lynch, who is also a former co-host of COFRP has written a new book, "It's Worth The Wait! A Marriage Arranged By God". In it, Fiona poses questions and provides answers for you to ponder. For example How long are you willing to wait for the love of your life to arrive? The person who God has ordained for you? Fiona Clarke (aka Lynch) waited twenty-one years for the promises of God to be fulfilled in her life. At times she thought it would never happen. Being a single parent of six children, who would want her. As her journey in Christ unfolds and the prophecies, dreams and visions become clear, suddenly her husband arrives at a time when her children were now adults and she was established in herself. Stephen Clarke had been waiting and had prayed for a woman of God so when he saw Fiona, he knew she was the one so they joined as one in marriage, six months after their first date. This book will encourage all those who are single and waiting, to hold on as it will be worth the wait! Fiona Lynch (Clarke) is senior Pastor of The Church of United Nations, Cambridge, UK and founder of The School of Destiny Recreating Lives and The Book Inside of You Publishing. She has been writing for many years and publishing since October 2008. Her story From Darkness to Light was her first publication which has taken her to speak internationally. Auld Lang Syne is Robert Burns most famous song, and the second most sung song in the English language. Yet, most people have no idea what it means, or where it came from.In this episode I tell you where the lyrics for Auld Lang Syne came from, where the famous tune came from, and what the song is actually about! I explain all the difficult Scottish words so that you can finally understand this song that you have been singing for years.listen to this episode and never be confused again whilst singing Auld Lang Syne.I also explain why it is so popular.....PLEASE NOTE: I say in this episode that George Thomson published 'The Scots Musical Museum' , this is wrong, he published 'Select Scottish Airs', which Burns contributed heavily to. It was James Johnson who published 'The Scots Musical Museum'. He produced six volumes between 1787 and 1803. Robert Burns was the main contributor and virtual editor of the volumes until his death in 1796. Stephen Clarke was the musical editor.Cheers! Alastair

As the UK prepares to celebrate King Charles III's coronation, we focus on the love affair between the British royal family and Paris, which has been both long and reciprocal. A series of landmarks are dedicated to British monarchs in the capital, such as Avenue Victoria – named after Queen Victoria, who in 1855 made the first state visit to Paris in over 400 years. In 1918, George V Avenue was renamed in honour of the British king for recognition of his role as monarch during World War I. In this edition, we take you on a royal tour of Paris with author Stephen Clarke. We see how a whole district of the Opéra Garnier area was a favorite for "playboy prince" Edward VII and why the Parisian flower market was renamed in honour of Queen Elizabeth II.>> Read more: >> Watch our 'Coronation Countdown' show

My guest this week is Stephen Clarke, author of at least 18 books. His first published novel, “A Year in the Merde” was nominated for the British Book Award for Best Newcomer. Stephen has sold more than 2.5 million books worldwide, written two stage shows, and inspired a permanent museum collection in France, which he curated. Stephen's latest novel “The Spy Who Inspired Me” is his first foray into a new-to-him genre: historical fiction. “The Spy Who Inspired Me” is a spoof of the James Bond series that balances tongue-in-cheek humor with a spy adventure set at the height of the Nazi occupation in France. In our conversation, Stephen discusses neighborly affection for the French, time machines, the importance of research, the time and place for humor, and the unlikely partnership of his two main characters. He then treats us to a reading from “The Spy Who Inspired Me.”http://www.stephenclarkewriter.com/homehttps://www.instagram.com/stephenclarkewriter/https://twitter.com/SClarkeWriterhttps://www.facebook.com/StephenClarkeWriterFind Us OnlineWebsite: https://www.parisundergroundradio.com/storytimeinparisFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/parisundergroundradioInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/parisundergroundradio/CreditsHost and Producer: Jennifer Geraghty. @jennyphoria; Website: http://jennyphoria.comMusic CreditsHip Hop Rap Instrumental (Crying Over You) by christophermorrow https://soundcloud.com/chris-morrow-3 Creative Commons — Attribution 3.0 Unported— CC BY 3.0 Free Download / Stream: http://bit.ly/2AHA5G9 Music promoted by Audio Library https://youtu.be/hiYs5z4xdBUAbout UsSince well before Victor Hugo looked up at Notre Dame and thought, "Huh... what if a hunchback lived in there?" authors have been inspired by Paris. Maybe you'll even be inspired to write your own Great French Novel. Happy listening!
When people donate they want—and deserve—to know where their money is going. They need full transparency and they need to know the impact their money is making. As many of the young people we work with put it, “What's in this for me?” Aren't we all in this together, and shouldn't we all be able to win? I realized that the current charity model made it impossible to answer those questions. Charity has been around for 200 years and the way it is done hasn't been touched. So it's time for a change.
