In this message, Pastor Kevin shares how faith grows when we release control and learn to trust God in every season. God is inviting us to rediscover who He really is, the God of the impossible, not limited by our understanding or circumstances. As we encounter Him, our response is not to control or figure everything out, but to repent, trust, and step into a deeper relationship with Him. What feels impossible may actually be an invitation to let go, trust God more fully, and believe that nothing is too wonderful for Him.

The much dreaded and much anticipated day has arrived that was prescribed by the decree of death. Now we can see what victory looks like for the Jews of ancient Persia... and perhaps (if we are wise) we can see what victory can look like for the follower of Christ today. - Pastor Kevin

Pastor Kevin preaches this week on "Prayer & Fasting For A Breakthrough" from Isaiah 58:1-14.
Wars. Disasters. Politics. Cultural instability. When the world feels unpredictable, it's easy to feel anxious, distracted, or spiritually unprepared. In Week 39 of our yearlong journey through the Gospel of Mark, Pastor Kevin walks through Mark 13, where Jesus speaks directly into this tension. While no one knows the timing of His return, Jesus makes one thing clear: we don't have to live in fear. We are called to stay awake, stay ready, and stay on mission. This message invites us to examine how we're living today. Are we drifting into distraction? Are we spiritually asleep? Or are we alert, anchored, and actively participating in what God is doing in the world? When the future feels unclear, Jesus gives us clarity on how to live right now. Tune in, take notes, and lean in as we consider what it means to live faithfully in uncertain times. – – – – – – For more info and resources on this series, visit crosspoint.tv/mark. Love, Actually – Week 2: What Your Marriage Is Missing Texts: Acts 18:1–3; Romans 16:3–5Most marriages don't implode. They drift. In Week 2 of Love, Actually: The Love That Restores, Pastor Kevin explores what quietly erodes relationships—and what actually strengthens them. Looking at the marriage of Priscilla and Aquila in Acts 18 and Romans 16, this message reveals that healthy relationships are built not just on chemistry, but on shared mission and strong community.Marriage was never meant to be two people isolated on an island. It was designed as a covenant inside a people. When couples drift into maintenance mode or isolation, even small tensions grow heavy. But when relationships are anchored in shared direction and surrounded by wise community, love strengthens instead of strains. This message speaks to married couples, singles, and those dating—offering practical wisdom, hope, and a Gospel-centered reminder that Jesus belongs at the center of every relationship.Broad River Church | Norwalk, CT Join us Sundays: 9:00 AM & 11:00 AM (English) | 12:45 PM (Español) Learn more or take your next step: https://broadriver.church/nextsteps Follow us on Instagram: @iambroadriverchurch

At Saints Peter & Paul - we exist to help people "live alive in Christ." This is our mission statement. It's what we're about. But, we're not just talking about living a physical life. Nor are we strictly talking about life after death. So what do we mean?In this sermon, Pastor Kevin unpacks the biblical ideas of "life" and "death."
In this week's episode, Pastor Kevin sits down with Shane Kleiman, a member of SSPP who first attended while a student at Michigan Tech and oversees the Media Booth. While at Tech, Shane earned two Master's degrees - one in Forestry and the other in "Geographic Information Science" (GIS). But Shane's passion for nature extends beyond his professional life.In this conversation we talk about humanity's relationship to Creation. Shane brings real-world examples from his experience working in the forests of the U.P. and around the country.Listen and consider your own relationship to Creation. What aspects of Creation point you back in gratefulness to your Creator? Which aspects are difficult to navigate faithfully? We'll explore these same questions as we seek to live as the human creatures God created us to be.As always we hope you enjoy it.
Scripture Mark 10:32-45 32 They were on their way up to Jerusalem, with Jesus leading the way, and the disciples were astonished, while those who followed were afraid. Again he took the Twelve aside and told them what was going to happen to him. 33 “We are going up to Jerusalem,” he said, “and the […]
In today's world, we all fight against being too busy. There are so many things that draw on our time. It's too easy to fall into a pattern of the world pulling us away from what's important. When we're not careful, we are drawn into a place of meaningless waste of valuable time. There is a big difference between that kind of business and being busy in the work of the Lord. On today's program, we'll visit with a pastor who loves the outdoors, but rarely gets to enjoy time in the places that he loves so much. This pastor has worked doing many things in the building trades, local schools, hospitals and nursing homes, jails and other places… all while caring for a church family as a pastor.
In Genesis 46, God reveals His perfect plan to establish His people by bringing them down to Egypt. God's perfect plan often runs counter to human reasoning. Pastor Kevin reminds us that we can find hope in any circumstance that feels like an "Egypt," because God strengthens us in our weakness. We are not formed by the plans we fully understand, but by His nearness in every circumstance. Through every trial, He gives us faith to keep walking and is continually shaping us into His image.
Pastor Kevin preaches this week on "Brave Faith In Difficult Times" from 1 Chronicles 11:22-25.
Love, Actually – Week 1: The Signs You Keep IgnoringText: 1 Kings 21Most relational breakdowns don't happen all at once—they happen slowly, through ignored patterns and overlooked signs. In Week 1 of our new series Love, Actually: The Love That Restores, Pastor Kevin opens with a sobering and practical message about relational wisdom. Drawing from the story of Ahab and Jezebel in 1 Kings 21, this message explores how unhealthy dynamics form through passivity, control, and unresolved patterns—and how God often shows us warning signs long before damage is done. This message speaks to dating relationships, marriages, friendships, and church relationships, helping listeners learn how to identify patterns, interrupt dysfunction, and move toward healthier love shaped by truth and tenderness.Ultimately, this message reminds us that Jesus doesn't love with control or withdrawal—He loves with grace, courage, and restoration. And He invites us to learn a new way of loving.Broad River Church | Norwalk, CT Join us Sundays: 9:00 AM & 11:00 AM (English) | 12:45 PM (Español) Learn more or take your next step: https://broadriver.church/nextsteps Follow us on Instagram: @iambroadriverchurch

In this verse-by-verse Bible teaching, Pastor Kevin walks through Luke 5:27–39, focusing on Jesus' call of Levi and what it reveals about Christ's heart for sinners. This study explores the contrast between the compassion and mercy of Jesus and the self-righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, highlighting His mission to call sinners to repentance as the Great Physician. Pastor Kevin explains the meaning of repentance, the necessity of humility before God, and the danger of relying on outward religion instead of a changed heart. The passage also points to the joy and freedom of new life under grace, illustrated through the images of the bridegroom, new wine, and new wineskins. This teaching offers clear biblical insight into the difference between law and grace and the transforming work of Jesus in those who follow Him.
The world is falling apart. That statement is not meant to be hyperbole or to arouse fear, it's simply a reflection of what we see in the world. We hear about the "facts" in the world that support this: animals going into extinction, river beds drying up, ice caps melting, and a consistent rise in global temperatures (so far as we have been documenting them). But what's the point? For some, the point IS to raise fear + concern, because that (some believe) will arouse activity to reverse what we see. For others, the silencing of these "facts" serves to encourage our own procuring from creation its many benefits. These are the two narratives we're often presented with. But is there a third? In this sermon, Pastor Kevin traces the biblical narrative of Creation - and humanity's connection to it. As you listen, consider which story has shaped your thoughts on this topic, and how the Biblical story reframes it. And then, you might ask, "how then shall we live?"
Vision Sunday 2026: Ransomed & Redeemed Romans 12:1–3Vision doesn't begin with strategy—it begins with mercy. On Vision Sunday, Pastor Kevin closes the Better Than New series and invites the church into God's shaping work for the year ahead. Drawing from Romans 12, this message reframes vision not as self-improvement or pressure, but as transformation rooted in the mercies of God.Rather than asking how we can optimize our lives, Scripture invites us to be renewed—formed from the inside out. Vision flows from redemption, not ambition. Renewal leads to discernment. And discernment draws us into shared life and shared mission. In this message, you'll hear the heart behind Broad River Church's 2026 theme Ransomed & Redeemed, and a clear picture of what it looks like to be a redeemed people, a redeeming church, and a restoring presence in the places God has planted us.Vision isn't about predicting the future—it's about choosing faithfulness. Glimpses of eternity are meant to shape the present. Catch a glimpse from Jesus' words as Pastor Kevin's message, THE LENGTH OF ETERNITY, explores the rich man and Lazarus from Luke 16.
This verse-by-verse Bible teaching, taught by Pastor Kevin, covers Luke 5:12–26 and centers on Jesus' compassion, authority, and power to cleanse and forgive. The message walks through the healing of the leper and the paralytic, showing how physical healing points to a deeper spiritual need, the forgiveness of sins. Drawing from both Luke and the Old Testament law in Leviticus, Pastor Kevin explains how leprosy serves as a picture of sin and why only Jesus can truly make a person clean. The passage also highlights visible, active faith as friends bring the paralyzed man to Jesus, trusting Him completely. Together, these scenes reveal Jesus as the Son of Man who has authority on earth to forgive sins and restore lives.
Better Than New – Week 3: “Rooted, Equipped, Confident” 2 Timothy 3:14–17; Philippians 1:6By late January, many people feel the same tension: I started strong… but can I keep going? In Week 3 of Better Than New, Pastor Kevin explores what it means to continue—not perfectly, but faithfully. This message confronts the lie that spiritual growth requires constant restarting and invites us into a steadier, deeper formation.Through Paul's encouragement to Timothy, we see how God forms His people over time—rooting us in truth, equipping us through Scripture, and grounding our confidence not in willpower, but in God's faithfulness. This message will help you move past shame, resist burnout, and trust that God finishes what He starts. In today's Leadership Lesson, Pastor Kevin walks through Matthew 5:43–48 and Jesus' challenging call to love our enemies. We explore how cultural interpretations can quietly reshape our faith and how Jesus brings clarity, not minimal obedience but sacrificial love. Through Scripture, honest reflection, and vivid imagery, this message invites us to examine our hearts, pray for those we resist, and learn what it truly means to live as children of our Father. A timely conversation for navigating faith, relationships, and discipleship in today's world.
In this special Sunday encouragement, Pastor Kevin walks us through Genesis 33:18–20 and the story of Jacob, a life marked by fear, striving, and wrestling with God, yet ultimately transformed by His faithfulness. What begins as a cyclical pattern of fear becomes a testimony of grace when Jacob stops running, faces what he's afraid of, and builds an altar of remembrance.

Everything that we have is borrowed, it all belongs to God and we steward it for Him. It's not enough that we hear truth from pastors, leaders in the church, and small groups… we need to apply it to our lives. And that means we have to take action! In this message, Pastor Kevin challenges us to see reality through Jesus' eyes, not the world's. Using Luke 18, he shows how the kingdom belongs to those who come with humility, dependence, and trust like a child. When we let go of pride, control, and false realities, God defines our identity and opens the door to heaven's reality.
