In this sermon, Pastor Kevin begins our Advent sermon series by considering the divinity of Jesus. As the Nicene Creed declares, Jesus is "True God From True God." John opens his Gospel by revealing that Jesus, the Word, did not begin in Bethlehem but existed eternally with God and as God. He is the divine Creator through whom all things were made, the One whose authority and power stretch from before creation into our present world. And into our darkness this true Light has come—fully God, fully life-giving—shining with a glory that Advent invites us to behold and believe.

This week Pastor Kevin continues in our series Jonah., specifically at Jonah Chapter 3. God wants us to be part of his mission. Join us in listening to how turning to God can change your life for eternity.

Pastor Kevin walks through Luke 1:26–56, where Gabriel announces to Mary that she will conceive and bear Jesus, the Son of God. He highlights Mary's humility, her thoughtful response, and her willingness to trust God despite confusion and potential hardship. The message reflects on God's power to do the impossible, the way Mary's faith leads to obedience, and the rich Old Testament themes woven into her song of praise. Pastor Kevin encourages us to consider where our own faith hesitates and to remember that God's grace, mercy, and promises remain steady for those who trust Him.

In Advent of 2025, Saints Peter & Paul is walking through a meditation on the days of Creation. More than just a description of "how" creation began, these early verses give a framework for the world in which we live. Why it exists. Why it is the way that it is.In this sermon, Pastor Kevin meditates on Day 1: "Let there be Light." Why is the world, in the "pre-creation" state not "empty"...but "dark" and "watery"? What are these verses telling us about the nature of the world.Listen and consider how the Bible speaks of the Creator, in comparison to other origin stories.
