Pride Month is evil, and we must call it what it is. In this episode, we're discussing the spiritual implications of Pride Month, asking hard questions about what it represents—and how believers should respond. We're drawing the connection between pride, identity, and rebellion against God's design for human flourishing. Many Christians feel spiritually drained during this month, and we should. I'm challenging my listeners to love the LGBTQ+ community not with silence or compromise (and certainly not with support) but with truth—the truth that God offers forgiveness, transformation, and eternal life to all who repent and follow Christ. We must hate sin while praying for our enemies. Our culture desperately needs more holiness, conviction, and compassion rooted in the gospel, which is telling those around us the truth.—https://www.thebrandsunday.com/products/the-bible-study-physical?srsltid=AfmBOoqBR_MWE2-fkYXYHCn80nZtEct4ixmRGrXZSrgIn5HP_tBc9Mcy

Archbishop of Montreal, Christian Lépine joined Andrew Carter to pay tribute to Pope Francis.

Archbishop Christopher J. Coyne's presentation was more than just words—it was a heartfelt reminder that hope is not optional for Christians; it's essential.Archbishop Coyne's talk started with a chuckle (and the wrong jacket ), but quickly drew us into something deeper: a call to reclaim Christian hope in a world that often feels hopeless.“Always be ready to give an explanation to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope.” – 1 Peter 3:15Referencing Pope Francis' powerful words in On Hope, the Archbishop explored how modern challenges—like declining birth rates and cultural discouragement—stem from a loss of belief in the goodness of life itself. But as Christians, we are called to more. To live as people of hope. Not wishful thinking or blind optimism—but a hope rooted in God's promises, shared through community, and sustained by prayer, service, and love.Hope grows when we:• Forgive, even when it's hard• Accompany each other in struggle• Choose joy amid uncertainty• Build bridges, not wallsLet's be the witnesses the world needs—joyful, resilient, grounded in God's mercy.Because Christian hope doesn't disappoint.

Compare this part of the daf to the stories in Shmuel Bet (Second Samuel) -- the son of Goliath is armed to go take vengeance on David. Ishbivenov is this same son of the giant, and his name is connected to his identity - because his revenge is on account of Nov. God makes it clear to David that he must pay the price of his wrong-doing, and gives him a choice of cutting off his descendants or suffer himself. He chooses the latter. Which leads to his own near-death, in greater detail in the Gemara than in the Navi. Also, the Assyrian army and their marching plan and huge numbers of troops (maybe). Plus, the angel Gavriel supporting the battles (against siege and more during Sennacherib's wars).
This episode is an intuitive message of hope. If you've been in a challenging season of life and in need of a message of peace, compassion, and support, this one is very likely for you. Happy listening and sending love.

In today's message, we explored the profound themes found in the book of Malachi, focusing on its relevance as a message of hope for our lives. Malachi, written after Israel's return from Babylonian captivity, addresses the people's growing doubt and suspicion about God's past and future actions. Despite their deliverance, the Israelites began to question God's faithfulness, leading to a casual approach to worship and a neglect of their spiritual duties. Malachi serves as a divine reminder that God still loves His people and is actively working in their lives, even when they cannot see it. The book of Malachi is a call to remember God's past faithfulness and to trust in His promises for the future. It challenges us to remain faithful and hopeful, even when we are in seasons of waiting or preparation. Malachi's message is not just about the past but also about the future, pointing to the coming of Jesus and the ultimate fulfillment of God's promises. It encourages us to rise above our circumstances and see from a heavenly perspective, understanding that God is preparing something greater for us. In our journey, we must avoid the pitfalls of doubt, comparison, and complaining, which can shield us from seeing God's promises. Instead, we are called to be seated in heavenly places, gaining a perspective that allows us to trust in God's timing and His plans. Malachi reminds us that God is always moving, always preparing, and always coming through for us. Our task is to remain faithful, trusting that what God has promised will come to pass.

Today I am joined by Eileen Lamb, founder of the Autism Cafe. I recently shared a video of Eileen's son, Charlie, that really struck a chord with my audience. It showed how his use of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) had progressed over time, offering a message of hope for others in similar situations.Eileen talks openly about how tough it can be to share your family's journey online. Her story started when Charlie began showing signs of autism at 18 months. What began as updates on her personal Facebook for friends and family soon grew into the platform she has today, with a large following across social media.Among her involvement in the field, Eileen is also an author. Her first book, All Across the Spectrum, is an autobiography that explores her experience being diagnosed with autism after her son. It highlights the differences in severity and what it's like to parent a child on the spectrum while being on the spectrum herself. Her second book, Be the One, is a collection of prose poetry about overcoming life's challenges. Eileen's third book, And Yet Here You Are, is coming out soon. For parents raising children with autism, Eileen has some advice: Be mindful of social media.
