The Lord's Prayer has been the foundation of prayer for many followers of Jesus, but do we understand how it's forming us? Let's let this prayer of Jesus form us, free us and reveal the good stuff of following Jesus.
By putting His prayer at the center of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus teaches that prayer is the single most important Christian activity. But how should we pray? Does Jesus intend us to pray His exact prayer? What does this prayer mean and how can we use it well?

For Christians, being people who forgive others is not an option. To be forgiven by God, we must forgive others. It is vital for our own and other’s spiritual health.

What is a biblical definition of forgiveness? Why do we need to pray about forgiveness?
This series will cut through the noise of the world’s perceptions of Jesus and what it means to follow Him, in ways that may be surprising to some people. We’ll play off the idea of memes as jokes, rhetorical devices, and sources of misinformation to debunk popular misconceptions and bring clear truth.

The Gate's weekly sermon podcast.
Today we are finishing our sermon series on prayer where we started it some two months ago. We started this time of looking at prayer with Jesus’ words of wisdom for us from the Sermon on the Mount. There, we found the reason for our prayers; today, we find the model of our prayers – what our prayers, in their various forms and foci, should look like. The model prayer provides a simple basis for our prayers, yet allows us to build on that basis prayers that fit our various trials and tribulations, times and circumstances.
The Kingdom of God is a Kingdom of Forgiveness!
1 Grace compromised or confirmed? 2 The unmerciful servant. 3 The platform of mercy. 4 Two popular distortions.
1 A model prayer. 2 A family prayer.
Jesus first teaches us to pray "Our Father!"
When we don't forgive we put ourselves in a prison, we think we are punishing someone else but we are the ones suffering the most.
1) Why do we Forgive? 2) How do we Forgive?

In this continuation of Jesus' instruction on prayer, Jesus teaches us, through example, how to pray. His example is both instructive and convicting. Listen in to hear why.
God makes a way for His followers to overcome temptation and to not be overcome by evil. It is simply by asking for God to help with our temptations and to ask God to deliver us from the evil one. This prayer model can help you win over temptation and over evil.
The Lord's Prayer helps believers confront "me-ism" which has been around since the beginning of time. "Your Kingdom come, your will be done" reminds us that there is a Heavenly Kingdom which is greater than the kingdom of self or mankind. This teaching will expand your prayer life.
