I am on the prowl, indeed! Welcome to PodKats! This is Kats, John Katsilometes, of the Las Vegas Review-Journal. My column is called Kats!, appropriately enough. Our guests on this episode of PodKats are members of the cast of Ester Goldberg’s Totally Outrageous Brunch, which is opening this month at The Sayers Club at SLS Las Vegas. The adult variety show will perform at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Airington portrays Ester, a funny and foul-mouthed redhead of a certain age. The show is loaded with talented Las Vegas performers. It’s newly named, and completely renovated, but it’s actually the former Sahara Hotel and Casino, a place filled with history–and more than a few legends. Considered the last of the Rat Pack hotels, this site hosted performers such as Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., Dean Martin, and Judy Garland (just to name a few). After closing in 2011, the SLS Hotel took over the building in 2013 and undertook massive renovations. All of this and more on this week’s episode of Travel Today from the SLS Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
