Andrew Kummerer is currently the Director of Youth Soccer at FC Delco and the Owner/Camp Director for Star Soccer Academy. Andrew is also a former Boys High School coach at Malvern Prep and Men’s Assistant Coach at Elizabethtown where he also played for 4 years gaining bachelors in business administration. I first met Andrew in 2015 when we were both participants of the USSF C license in Orangeburg NY. In today’s podcast we talk about Andrew’s first introduction into soccer growing up in South East Pennsylvania and his progression up the coaching ladder. Stephanie Savino is currently the Retail Development Director for Major League Soccer and Assistant coach at Asphalt Green Soccer Cub in NYC. Steph is a former women’s college coach with the Pratt institute and dual sport athlete at Siena College where he gained a bachelor’s of science in Marketing. Steph is also gained a USSF C license and Advacned National with the United Soccer Coaches. I came into contact with Steph via her popular Friday afternoon CoachesWithCoffee Zoom call. I later found out that Steph recently graduated from Ohio University with a master of science in Recreation and Sport Science with a concentration in Soccer Coaching. Nicole Evans. Nicole is currently the Girls 9v9 & 11v11 DOC at Almaden Soccer Club in San Jose California. Nicole is a USSF & UEFA B License coach As well as a United Soccer Coaches Premier diploma and former 30under30 participant. She also gained a master’s degree in Advanced Performance Football Coaching from the University of South Wales and bachelors in Health and Physical Education from Murray State University where she captained the Racers to Conference champions. Brian has been working with athletes and teams for over 15 years since earning his MA in Sport Psychology from John F. Kennedy University in California. He joined Sport Psychology Institute Northwest as a sport psychology consultant in 2007, and took over as director in 2011. Now as the Director of AMPlify Sport Psychology, he is constantly evolving his craft. Brian’s interest in sport psychology developed during his time as a high school football kicker/punter, college soccer player, and USSF C license soccer coach, where he found the mental game to be important, but under-taught. He believes strongly that training the mind is as important as training the body, and has dedicated his professional life to helping athletes achieve their goals, play up to their potential, and improve enjoyment in sports and in life. Joe Cleary moves into his second season as Head Women's Soccer Coach at Wayne State College. He was promoted to head coach of the Wildcat women's soccer program on March 7, 2017, becoming the ninth head coach in program history. In his first season as head coach, Cleary guided the Wildcats to records of 4-8-6 overall and 3-7-5 in the NSIC. WSC improved its shots on goal average from 11.8 to 13.8 and saw 12 different players score goals during the season. Cleary spent two years as an assistant coach with the Wildcats before taking the head coaching position. In his two years as an assistant, he helped WSC make a six-win improvement and the schools' second winning season in the last 11 years. In 2016, Cleary helped coach the Wildcats to a 9-6-3 overall record and 6-6-3 mark in the NSIC. The nine overall wins were the most at WSC since 2006 and the six conference wins were the most since the 2005 campaign. In his first season with the Wildcat program, Wayne State was 4-11-3 and 4-10-1 in the NSIC. The team allowed 10 fewer goals and the team's goals against average dropped from 2.39 to 1.83 in one season under Cleary. Cleary obtained his bachelor degree in athletic training from the University of Mary in 2012 and earned a master's degree in human performance in 2018. Joe is a certified athletic trainer and earned his USSF "C" license in 2013. Cleary resides in Wayne.
