In this episode, the boys are a bit stuffed after Thanksgiving, but they are still plenty thankful for a terrific season.  But now it's time to look ahead to what Nashville SC will need to do this offseason so that they can compete for a championship in 2026.  First and foremost, what's the answer at goalkeeper?  Who's going to back up Dan Lovitz?  Does our midfield need to be touched?  And who's going to fill the gaping hole left by Teal Bunbury?  But seriously, the boys share their letters to Santa and their top Christmas wishes for NSC going into the holiday season.  And if that's not enough, the boys have visions of hot chicken takes dancing in their heads as they talk about what to expect in 2026 and explain why Apple TV is no good for the growth and popularity of Major League Soccer.  Finally, the boys break out their crystal balls one last time to make predictions for the team's offseason, and they conclude a very fine season with best wishes to all and to all a good night.  And they drink beer.

Despite the Whitecaps going down to 10 men, and then 9, LAFC's chances either connected with the woodwork or went wide. The match would be lost in penalties, as both Sonny and Mark Delgado missed their chances and LAFC fell on kicks, 4-3. The Steve Cherundolo era is officially over.

Hey, soccer fans! Major League Soccer and the Chicago Fire have released their 2026 season schedule. Listen in as Nick gives you the breakdown of the season, the matches he's highlighted, and what the Men in Red's non-conference opponents look like. The Fire's 2026 season has a long home stretch, a long away stretch, and featured matches against the Philadelphia Union, Vancouver Whitecaps, and Inter Miami. We also see the Fire host Sporting Kansas City and the Portland Timbers, while travelling to Seattle for some cross-continental action. The 20 year old South African centerback is primed to jump from the South African Premiership, prove himself at a higher level, and possibly leap to a top league in Europe. For now, though, he's expected to sign with Chicago and provide a much-needed defensive piece as the club is likely to move on from Chase Gasper and Omar Gonzalez, and Jack Elliott's future is in doubt. The development joins other major investments in Portland, pushing total revitalization efforts beyond $100 million.We discuss the distinctive look and feel of the project and its potential impact on the neighborhood. After that we talk about plans from Louisville-based Texas Roadhouse Inc. to replace its very first Louisville store, near Outer Loop, with an updated and more modern space nearby.Reporter Olivia Estright is on the show as well to talk about a couple stories that she has been working on this week, including the closure of two restaurants in New Albany, Indiana. The owner was trying out a plan for dual concepts in a space on State Street, but it didn't take, she explains. Estright also discusses the relocation of Mahonia, a plant shop that's moved from NuLu to St. Matthews. A big road construction project in NuLu was one of the reasons for the moves, she explained.After a break, Reporter Stephen P. Schmidt jumps on to chat about the United Soccer League, of which Louisville City FC is a part. As we've reported before the USL is launching a new top tier Division I, which will have a system of relegation and promotion. Soccer fans in the US have bemoaned the lack of such a system in Major League Soccer, so the new league is drawing plenty of interest. Schmidt recently penned a story in which he offers his take on what the league will look like when it launches in 2028.
