This week, mayoral candidate and former Gov. Andrew Cuomo had some highs — and some lows. He was once again confirmed to be a frontrunner in a new Siena College poll, but he was also denied millions of dollars in public matching funds because of a so-called technical glitch. Meanwhile, Queens Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani is the first mayoral candidate to max out on public matching funds. Mamdani, along with some of the other candidates, spent the week going after President Donald Trump. NY1 political director Bob Hardt, investigative reporter Courtney Gross and statehouse reporter Bernadette Hogan break down a busy week in the race for mayor. After that, the “Off Topic” team continues its series of profiles on Democratic mayoral primary candidates. This week's installment finds them discussing Jessica Ramos, the Queens state senator running to the left of most of the other candidates. The media's lies about Ashli Babbitt and those who attended the mostly peaceful protest of January 6th, 2021 have been as deliberately despicable as the government-fed narrative on several levels. On top of all of it was the demonization of military veteran Ashli Babbitt, who was murdered by a trigger-happy police officer on the day Americans merely gathered to question the integrity of an election which saw rules changes and vote-counting issues among other problems, expressing their right to assembly.Ms. Babbitt was one of many women who were at the gathering in front of the Capital Building on that day. Jack Cashill, who tells the story of these brave freedom-fighting women in his new book, ASHLI: The Untold Story of the Women of January 6, joins Dr. Jerome Corsi today's The Truth Central.Unlike the women who descended on Washington in 2017 to protest the inauguration of President Trump, the women of January 6 did not come as women. They came as Americans, as patriots, as defenders of the republic. They did not wear pink hats. They wore MAGA hats. Their issues were indistinguishable from those of the men in their lives—the rule of law, free and fair elections, and the preservation of constitutional rights.Cashill also digs into the media's and government's desperation (due to Md. Babbitt's murder) by creating a false martyr on their side, police officer Brian Sicknick, who died as the result of strokes suffered the day after the protest. The phony narrative claimed the events caused the strokes. Cashill rips apart the lies and political maneuvering.Jack serves as senior editor of Ingram's magazine and writes regularly for American Thinker, American Spectator, and WorldNetDaily. It's Thursday, September 12th, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Muslims in Burkina Faso, Africa killed hundreds last month An al-Qaeda linked group killed hundreds of civilians in a town in Burkina Faso, Africa last month. The town of Barsalogho is home to about 90,000 displaced people. Most of them are Christians who fled Jihadist violence elsewhere in the west African country. Paul Robinson with Release International said, “Christians in Burkina Faso have been suffering attacks and displacement for several years now. … These militant groups have proved that they will stop at nothing to seize control and impose their interpretation of Islam on everyone by force.”  Burkina Faso is ranked 20th on the Open Doors' World Watch List of nations where it is most dangerous to be a Christian. Thousands of Brits march for life Thousands of people gathered in London on Saturday for the annual March for Life UK. SPEAKER 1: “Today, you are marching not just for the baby, not just for the woman, not just for the family, but for future generations.” The theme of the march was “Abortion isn't Healthcare.” SPEAKER 2: “We will not stop until the Fight for Life of the innocent preborn human is guaranteed -- from conception to natural death.” And another speaker addressed the proper definition of justice. SPEAKER 3: “Our most basic form of justice must apply to all, or it ceases to be justice and become selective privilege. Life is not a privilege to be earned, but a gift bestowed on us, at conception, by Almighty God.” Leaders from many denominations joined the event, including Patrick Regan King, an Evangelical pastor in London. He noted the pro-life cause is taboo in some of the evangelical church, saying, “People don't want to talk about it, they don't want to deal with it honestly from the pulpit, or only in very broad, vague terms. But the power of redemption is recognizing abortion for what it is, recognizing the sin that it is against God, but also recognizing that there's freedom.”  2 Timothy 4:2 says, “Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and encourage with great patience and teaching.” Trump: I will not sign a national abortion ban On Tuesday, ABC News hosted the first presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump. The candidates engaged in a heated debate covering topics like abortion, immigration, healthcare, housing, the 2020 presidential election, the Israel-Hamas war, and the war in Ukraine. Unfortunately, religious liberty was not featured in the debate nor did either candidate mention God. On abortion, Trump accused Democrats of supporting abortion up to and after birth. He also reiterated that he would not sign a national abortion ban. Listen. TRUMP: “I'm not signing a ban, and there's no reason to sign a ban, because we've gotten what everybody wanted -- Democrats, Republicans and everybody else, and every legal scholar wanted it to be brought back into the states. “The states are voting, and it may take a little time. But, for 52 years, this issue has torn our country apart, and they wanted it back in the states. I did something that nobody thought was possible. 60% thought Harris beat Trump A new poll from CNN found over 60% of registered voters who watched this week's presidential debate thought Harris outperformed Trump. However, over 80% of viewers said the debate did not affect their choice for president. Leading up to the debate, the two candidates were neck and neck in a national survey from The New York Times and Siena College. Trump led Harris 48% to 47% among likely voters. The poll also found that 17% of black voters support Trump, up from 7% in 2020. And 42% of Hispanic voters support Trump, up from 31% over the same period.  Household income up, but not keeping up with expenses This week, the Census Bureau released its 2023 report on income in the U.S. Adjusted for inflation, the median household income was $80,610 last year, up 4% from 2022. It's the first increase since 2019. Although household income is back to pre-COVID levels, families have not seen a rise in living standards. That is in contrast to the years leading up to the pandemic. The median household income, adjusted for inflation, rose 14% between 2015 and 2019.   Americans becoming more liberal Lifeway Research released analysis of a recent Gallup survey on moral issues. Americans are becoming more liberal on morality while also becoming more pessimistic about the future. U.S. adults support abortion, suicide, and polygamy now more than ever before. Most adults also support birth control, in vitro fertilization, divorce, having a baby outside of marriage, and sexually perverted lifestyles. Nevertheless, most Americans say moral values in the country are getting worse, and about half say the state of moral values is already poor. Proverbs 29:18 says, “When there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint, but the one who keeps the law, blessed is he!” Four citizens blasted into space And finally, four private citizens blasted off for space from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Tuesday. The SpaceX rocket carried four crew members including billionaire Jared Isaacman. They are on a five-day mission, known as Polaris Dawn. ANNOUNCER: “T+ 35 seconds into the Polaris Dawn new mission.  Flying crew on board Dragon and Falcon 9 to new heights.” Their goal is to reach nearly 900 miles above the Earth's surface which is three times higher than the International Space Station. They are also attempting the first all-civilian spacewalk.  Close And that's The Worldview on this Thursday, September 12th, in the year of our Lord 2024. Subscribe by Amazon Music or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Nigerian Muslims shot two Christian men On August 4th, Islamic Fulani militants shot two Christian men in the Bokkos area of the Plateau State in Nigeria, reports International Christian Concern. The men, whose names are being withheld for their protection, are thankful to be alive.  One of them said, “To the glory of God, we both survived.” David John, the medical director of the hospital where the men are currently receiving treatment, said the hospital's staff would provide them with the best medical care.   Bokkos was one of three Plateau communities targeted by Muslim Fulani militants during the Christmas Eve massacre in 2023. In those attacks, more than 200 Christians were killed, including 148 people in Bokkos.  According to Open Doors, Nigeria is the sixth most dangerous country worldwide in which to be a Christian. Pray for God's justice in Nigeria.  Proverbs 21:15  says, “When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers.” Ukrainian navy takes out Russian gas rig Ukraine blasted a Russian gas rig in the Black Sea near the Dnipro River, killing 40 Russian soldiers, reports The U.S. Sun.   Dramatic footage shows a giant fireball erupting from the Russian headquarters after it was targeted by the Ukrainian Navy.  The decimated rig was packed with “reconnaissance equipment” to help with Russia's war effort. Ukrainian officials claimed the gas rig used to be controlled by their military, but had become occupied by Russian President Vladimir Putin's forces in recent years. Harris leads Trump in 3 battleground states Vice President Kamala Harris leads former President Donald Trump in three crucial battleground states, according to new surveys by The New York Times and Siena College. This is the latest indication of a dramatic reversal in standing for Democrats after President Biden's departure from the presidential race. Harris is ahead of Trump by four percentage points in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan, 50 percent to 46 percent among likely voters in each state. The surveys were conducted from Aug. 5 to 9. Trump: Kamala Harris not smart enough to hold news conference Despite her rise in the polls, Donald Trump does not think Kamala Harris is smart enough to hold a news conference. TRUMP: “She can't do a news conference. She doesn't know how to do a news conference. She's not smart enough to do a news conference. I'm sorry. We need smart people to lead this country because our country has never been in this danger before, both economically and from an outside perspective.” Kamala Harris: “Everybody needs to be woke!” A video of Vice President Kamala Harris declaring that “everybody needs to be woke” in 2017 has resurfaced and gone viral on social media, reports Media Research Center. Appearing with philanthropist Laurene Powell Jobs, the widow of Apple Founder Steve Jobs, Harris spoke at the 2017 Recode Code Conference. Listen. HARRIS: "We have to stay woke. Like everybody needs to be woke. You can talk about if you're the woke-est or woke-er, but just stay more woke than less woke." Send letters to 6 imprisoned pro-lifers Pro-life rescuers either in or awaiting prison have made – and are making – gigantic sacrifices for practicing non-violent civil disobedience at abortion mills on behalf of their pre-born brothers and sisters.  By giving up their emotional support networks of family, friends, and colleagues, these pro-life heroes are in danger of a loneliness that can be felt even – or especially – in a crowded prison cafeteria or yard. Some of them have been handed years-long sentences, reports LifeSiteNews.com. You can send letters to six of these imprisoned pro-life heroes through addresses you can access through a special link in our transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com. You can send letters to Jonathan Darnel, Will Goodman, Lauren Handy, Heather Idoni, Jean Marshall, and Bevelyn Williams at their respective prisons.  Even a 2-3 sentence letter, which would take no time at all, especially from your children, would lift their spirits. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 says, “ Therefore, encourage one another and build each other up.” Please read the 10 tips for writing them and sign the prayer pledge for the pro-life rescuers facing a decade in prison. MacGyver-minded officer saves toddler And finally, from Kansas comes the story of a quick-thinking rescue that hauled a 14-month-old toddler from a would-be tomb at the bottom of a drain pipe, reports Good News Network. The terrifying ordeal was caught on camera and saw a Moundridge Police Department officer build on the spot a makeshift catchpole typically used for pulling varmints out of hard-to-reach places. Secured under his shoulders, the loop of rope at the end of the catchpole was able to lift the boy, named Bently, out from where he was trapped 10 feet down a section of 12-inch-wide PVC pipe that had been buried vertically. The parents said they called 9-1-1 just before 2:00 p.m. when they realized Bently had fallen into the PVC hole. Blake, the father's boy, described his emotions before the rescue to the local news station. BLAKE:  “Looking down at him as he was screaming, he wanted out of there, he wanted help and you can't do anything. It's complete helplessness. It's horrifying, it's haunting, to feel so helpless, knowing that your child is in serious need of help.” When police, fire department, and EMS arrived at the family's home about 40 miles northwest of Wichita, Officer Ronnie Wagner had an idea. WAGNER: “I threaded some rope through a PVC pipe, tied a knot at the end of it so that it would slip, and we used it to wrap around under his shoulders here and lift him out of the hole.” Watch a video of the dramatic rescue through a special link in our transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com. The toddler's father was deeply grateful. BLAKE: “It's a blessing and a miracle to have a First Responder that lives right behind us. There aren't words to express our gratitude.” Zephaniah 3:17 says, “The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you … and will rejoice over you with singing.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Monday, August 12th, in the year of our Lord 2024.  Subscribe by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com. KCRW's Left, Right & Center

President Biden is trailing Donald Trump in several battleground states, according to new polling from the New York Times and Siena College. While polling this far out from an election often doesn't represent final results, it can reveal trends that candidates should seriously consider, says Mo Elleithee, executive director at Georgetown University's Institute of Politics and Public Service. In Biden's case, the polls indicate less support among young voters, nonwhite voters, and blue collar workers. With Biden and Trump agreeing to a series of debates in June and September, can the president use the head-to-head settings to regain ground with those crucial groups? The Democratic National Convention will take place in Chicago this summer. There are some concerns that the contentious atmosphere surrounding the convention, including nationwide campus protests and anger with the president's support for the war in Gaza, could lead to a scene similar to the unrest at 1968's DNC, also in Chicago. Are those concerns overblown? And would more protests allow Donald Trump to emerge as a figure who can end the growing sense of chaos among voters?Kansas is the focus of our 50 states series this week. Mandatory diversity, equity, and inclusion statements have become a growing legal concern for legislators and administrators in Kansas and at universities across the country. Does requiring a commitment to DEI fall mean forcing an ideology on faculty and students?

The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode: 3:05pm- Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump dominated on Super Tuesday. Entering the contest, Trump had earned 273 delegates—he now has 1,004 delegates and is expected to reach the 1,215 delegates needed to officially win the party's nomination as soon as March 12th. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Trump's primary rival Nikki Haley announced she was suspending her campaign after winning only one primary (Vermont) on Tuesday. 3:15pm- Shane Goldmacher and Adam Nagourney of The New York Times write of President Joe Biden's Super Tuesday performance, which saw him reach 1,506 delegates of the 1,968 needed to win the Democrat party's nomination: “But yet again there were flashing lights for a president who is struggling to rally the whole of his party behind him. Nearly 20 percent of Democrats in Minnesota voted for ‘Uncommitted,' in an apparent protest vote against Mr. Biden's support of the Israel military response to the Hamas terrorist attack of Oct 7. Mr. Biden won less than two-thirds of the vote in Hennepin County, home to Minneapolis. The protest was an extension of a campaign that started in Michigan last week, when 13 percent of Democrats voted uncommitted. The larger share in a state with fewer Arab American voters—but a large and active progressive wing—suggested that the movement of voters pressing Mr. Biden for a policy change was gaining traction. There were other signs, too. In Colorado, the noncommitted vote was 8 percent. The ‘no preference' vote in North Carolina hit nearly 13 percent; that is worth noting as Mr. Biden considers contesting a state that Mr. Trump won by a whisker in 2020. It is far from clear what those voters will do this November. But should they back Mr. Trump, support a third-party candidate or just stay home, they could cost Mr. Biden a close election. Minnesota wasn't the only state that cast a bit of a cloud over Mr. Biden's night. In a small indignity for the sitting president, Mr. Biden tied in the delegate race in American Samoa to Jason Palmer, an entrepreneur. (It's really OK if you had not heard of him before.) There are no Electoral College votes in American Samoa.” You can read the full article here: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/06/us/politics/super-tuesday-trump-biden-takeaways.html 3:25pm- While appearing on CNN with Wolf Blitzer, political analyst and former Obama Administration Advisor Van Jones predicted that if Donald Trump wins the presidency in 2024, Russia would invade European countries—resulting in American soldiers dying overseas. 3:40pm- During a House of Representatives hearing on monetary policy, Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-NY) suggested that sending an additional $60 billion in aid to Ukraine would, somehow, help ease domestic inflation. 4:05pm- Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump dominated on Super Tuesday. During his victory speech from Palm Beach, Florida, Trump said of the general election: “November 5th is going to go down as the single most important day in the history of our country.” 4:10pm- Wall Street Journal opinion columnist Jason L. Riley writes: “In November, the New York Times and Siena College released polling results in six swing states that are expected to determine the election: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The survey indicated that 22% of blacks would vote for Mr. Trump, along with 42% of Hispanics. In 2020 Mr. Biden won the black vote, 92% to 8% and the Hispanic vote 59% to 38%, according to the Pew Research Center. Black and Hispanic voters have been an important part of the Democratic base for decades, but these coalitions aren't everlasting. In 2016 Mr. Trump won by energizing people who hadn't been politically active. Now he's stealing voters from the other team. A follow-up Times/Siena poll of voters nationwide was released this week and showed black support for the former president ticking up to 23% and Mr. Trump leading Mr. Biden outright among Hispanics, 46% to 40%. The liberal press can't comprehend why nonwhites would back someone who has spread conspiracy theories about Barack Obama's birth certificate, smeared Mexican nationals and taunted his own former transportation secretary, Elaine Chao, for being Asian. But it's not that complicated. According to the survey, more than half of all black and Hispanic respondents rank current economic conditions as ‘poor,' while 26% of blacks and 37% of Hispanics say they will vote for Mr. Trump because his policies benefited them personally.” You can read Riley's full editorial here: https://www.wsj.com/articles/bidens-worst-nightmare-blacks-and-hispanics-for-trump-economy-2024-presidential-election-fbbe674c?mod=opinion_lead_pos6 4:15pm- During MSNBC's Super Tuesday panel discussion, Joy Reid baselessly claimed that Republican voters are only “voting on race.” However, as numerous polls are indicating, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump may very well win the Hispanic vote outright while concurrently earning the support of a large percentage of Black voters. 4:30pm- The Biden Administration has finally started to police the U.S. Southern border…sort of. Ok, not really. The Department of Justice has charged a California man with smuggling greenhouse gases into the United States. Meanwhile, an undocumented migrant—who is wanted for rape in Oregon—was arrested in Florida, but Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) refused to take him citing a lack of detention room. During a press conference, Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) explained that his administration pressured ICE until it did its job. 4:50pm- BREAKING NEWS: 6ABC Digital Staff writes: “At least eight people were shot at a SEPTA bus stop in Philadelphia's Burholme neighborhood, Action News has learned. The gunfire rang out around 3 p.m. Wednesday at Rising Sun and Cottman avenues. Sources tell Action News that at least four of the eight victims are juveniles. Three of the juveniles suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and the fourth was shot in the chest.” You can find more details about this developing story here: https://6abc.com/philadelphia-shooting-today-septa-bus-stop-rising-sun-cottman-burholme-st-vincent-street/14496671/ 5:05pm- On Wednesday, MSNBC host Joe Scarborough claimed that “this version” of President Joe Biden is the “best Biden ever”—suggesting that the president, at age 81, is as mentally sharp and observant as ever before. Similarly, a recently published New York Times article suggests that Biden's inner circle just needs to “let Joe be Joe” via TikTok posts, late-night talk show appearances, and chatting with reporters. How many 80-year-olds are posting on TikTok? Is this strategy really letting Joe be Joe? 5:15pm- Why did Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis meet with Vice President Kamala Harris before indicting former President Donald Trump? A Georgia court is hearing testimony to determine if Willis should be disqualified from the Georgia election interference case she brought against Trump. According to allegations, Willis engaged in an improper, romantic relationship with the lead prosecutor of the case, Wade—paying him an estimated $650,000 in taxpayer money. Willis is also alleged to have directly derived financial benefit from the relationship with Wade in the form of several extravagant vacations. Last month, Robin Yeartie—a longtime friend of Willis—testified that Willis and Wade had a romantic relationship dating back to 2019. 5:30pm- Grace Ashford of The New York Times writes: “Former Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo of New York has been subpoenaed to appear before a House subcommittee to answer for his administration's handling of nursing homes during the coronavirus pandemic, reigniting a flashpoint that could further damage his chances at a political comeback… The Assembly investigation did not directly evaluate whether Mr. Cuomo's order had led to the deadly outbreaks in nursing homes. But it did find that the administration had selectively reported statistics from those facilities to avoid criticism. At issue was New York State's method of categorizing nursing home deaths. The state did not include in its tally nursing home residents who died in hospitals or other facilities from Covid, effectively reducing the reported mortality rates for nursing home residents.” You can read the full article here: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/05/nyregion/cuomo-covid-nursing-homes-subpoena.html 5:45pm- Leif Le Mahieu of The Daily Wire writes: “House Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan (R-OH) is looking into whether GoFundMe and Eventbrite cooperated with federal law enforcement during their investigation into the financial transactions of supporters of former President Donald Trump. Jordan wrote to executives at both companies on Monday, asking them to provide any communications with the FBI and the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, a bureau of the Treasury Department. He noted that FinCEN emailed banks about flagging ‘MAGA' and ‘TRUMP' transactions.” You can read the full report here: https://www.dailywire.com/news/jim-jordan-investigating-whether-gofundme-and-eventbrite-helped-feds-snoop-on-trump-supporters 6:05pm- Daniel Chaitin of The Daily Wire writes: “Pennsylvania's senators, both Democrats, have withdrawn a request for $1 million in taxpayer money to support a renovation and expansion project for an LGBT center in Philadelphia after federal funds for the organization were blocked in the House last year. Sens. John Fetterman (D-PA) and Bob Casey (D-PA) wrote to the Senate Appropriations Committee on Tuesday to declare they no longer want an earmark for the William Way LGBT Community Center in spending legislation for the current fiscal year…Word of the $1 million earmark request getting pulled spread on social media on Tuesday evening. The popular Libs of TikTok account on X, run by Chaya Raichik, posted a screenshot of the letter signed by Fetterman. She noted that it followed the account's ‘Exposé' featuring screenshots of advertisements for adults-only events at the center that featured sexually explicit content.” You can read the full report here: https://www.dailywire.com/news/pa-senators-fetterman-and-casey-withdraw-request-for-1m-to-fund-lgbt-center 6:20pm- Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump dominated on Super Tuesday.
