John Randall has an eye on Second Timothy chapter three today, and we'll be covering verses 10-17. The apostle Paul had his fair share of challenges and difficulty that's for sure, but he lived with determination and devotion to the Lord. We'll be encouraged to do the same in these difficult last days. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1368/29
In light of all that is taking place around us in our nation, and world, we've decided to turn to a passage of scripture that fits our situation like a glove so to speak. 2nd Timothy three describes what the last days will look like, and it's quite evident that we're living in them. Why will they be so difficult, and how are we to face them? Find out here on a Daily Walk! To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1368/29
There's no debating the fact that these are difficult days. From wars in foreign lands, antisemitism, immoral behavior accepted and applauded, abortions, and the breakdown of the family are just a few things we could point to as evidence of that. Many are asking themselves and others, "Are these the last days?" I think it's safe to say that they are as we read 2nd Timothy chapter three today on a Daily Walk. And as we look together at what will take place in the last days, pastor John Randall will encourage us to live for the glory of God. Just as there are good and godly teachers today, there are false teachers who seek to undermine what God is wanting to accomplish. But how are we to face these false teachers as they cross our paths? The apostle Paul gives us some help with that in Second Timothy chapter two. Timothy needed to face and confront them too. Join pastor John Randall for a Daily Walk as he provides a needed warning for the church today. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1368/29
We've spent several months going verse by verse through the gospel of Matthew. We've now reached a pivotal section in this account of the Lord's earthly life and ministry. In chapter sixteen we have a very touching scene where Mary is worshipping at the feet of Jesus. While some were critical of her, Jesus saw it for what it truly was… pure worship. And it should inspire us all to do the same. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1368/29
False teaching is prevalent. It's been in the church since the beginning and surely making its way through the church at the present time! But how are we to face these false teachers? The same way Timothy did! Today on a Daily Walk we recall a time in the early church when Timothy needed to confront the false teachers. And the apostle Paul would share with young Timothy the reasons why they are to be avoided. Pastor John Randall will relate all of this to our day, and the false teaching that exists. Paul in writing to Timothy encourages him to look to the soldier, athlete and farmer for characteristics to apply to his life and ministry. And these are words we really need to hear today too. For instance the soldier follows the commands of his superior officer without hesitation. And that should be our response to God's commands to us! Or how about the farmer, who needs patience when dealing with his crops. You can be sure patience will be needed in our lives from time to time! Agriculture is a huge part of America's heritage. It's amazing to consider that farmers are willing to invest so much time and effort into the land and their crops, knowing that they won't see any income until harvest time. And even then, a sudden hailstorm, or unseasonable weather can destroy all of their hard work. That sort of diligent commitment is necessary in the Christian life as well. In fact, the apostle Paul used the metaphors of a hard working farmer, athlete and soldier to show us what Christian life and ministry is to be like. Today on a Daily Walk pastor John Randall continues his study of 2nd Timothy by having us consider chapter two. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1368/29

At times we'll suffer for doing right in God's sight, and we shouldn't be ashamed when that occurs! That's the message Paul wanted to emphasize to Timothy in the passage before us. Today Pastor John Randall begins a new book of the Bible - Second Timothy. It's the apostle Paul's last book that he wrote - just before he was martyred for his faith. If you were awaiting your death, in a dungeon, you might be down and depressed… but not Paul! He had a thankful heart and was quick to praise God and pray for others! What a great example to us. Is it possible to be wealthy without being worldly? That's the question of the day here on a Daily Walk as we finish up First Timothy. The answer in short is yes! Pastor John Randall has observed both a warning to the wealthy as well as wisdom for the wealthy at the end of First Timothy chapter six. Life comes at us fast - and if we're not attentive before you know it - the opportunities to really make a difference have passed us by. Or we see it and we're not ready for it. There's a way to not miss out on the blessing and opportunities of life. And it's not what most people think - as we'll hear today on a Daily Walk. The pastor like a shepherd of sheep is called to feed, lead and protect the flock. It's a big job but should they be compensated for that? We pick up where we left off in First Timothy, today. So make your way over to chapter four if you would. Paul is describing for Timothy, what it takes to be an effective minister or servant of God. And John believes these are qualities that make for a good minister today! To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1368/29
Maybe you're the type of person that hits the gym on a regular basis, seeking to improve your physical health or appearance. While that's certainly not a bad thing, there is something even more important that we want to focus your attention on! And that is to exercise ourselves toward godliness! We're talking about how we can be effective servants or ministers of God today on a Daily Walk, as we dive back into First Timothy. Why is the church so important? We'll pursue the answer to that question as we open up First Timothy today on a Daily Walk. We have a message the world desperately needs to hear, and we're to uphold the truth! But we're told in the last days people in large numbers will depart from the truth of the gospel. Paul is about to warn Timothy about false doctrine, and it's something we need to hear today as well! To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1368/29
If I were to ask you what is the church, would you immediately think of a building where people gather for worship? I think it's safe to say many would, but today on a Daily Walk we learn what the church really is. It's really not a building, but a family of people that belongs to God!In First Timothy three we get a 3 fold description of the church that we can benefit from! Today on a Daily Walk we get right back into our study of First Timothy. Recently we've been talking about leadership in the church, and today the focus is on the deacons, or those who serve in the church. They are to serve out of a motivation of love for the Lord, and have certain characteristics in their lives. The first we'll look at has to do with the consumption of alcohol. John Randall is midway through a study of First Timothy. Timothy was given the responsibility of selecting godly leadership in the church, but what should he look for? Paul gave him some help and listed 16 qualifications that should be a part of the pastor's life. And these are characteristics to be found in today's church leader too! Many of us are leaders in some capacity… whether it's at home, at work or in the church! Today on a Daily Walk we give attention to a couple of powerful parables spoken by our Lord in Matthew chapter 25. Jesus is coming again at a time when it's not expected, and we're to be ready for it! Part of being ready involves using what God has given us for His glory and the Kingdom of God. Question is, what are you doing with what you've been given by God? Are you faithful and are you ready? To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1368/29
Today on a Daily Walk we open up First Timothy chapter two, and verses 8-15. In recent years there's been some discussion within church circles, as to whether or not a woman should be a pastor or teach over a mixed crowd. The passage we're about to look at makes it clear what the answer should be, and remember this is God's unchanging Word written for our benefit and good. We're about to continue our study of First Timothy and today we come to what you might say is a hotly debated issue in the world and church today. But pastor John will stress that we should allow God's Word to guide us to what is right and acceptable, not the culture! In chapter two, Paul addresses the role, appearance and action of women in public worship. How should a women dress, and act in the church setting? Can they teach and preach from the pulpit? Well let's allow the Word to answer that for us! To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1368/29
How's your prayer life going these days? I think we'd all agree there's always room for improvement. And sometimes we need to refocus, as we've gotten off track! Today on a Daily Walk we'll take a look at what the focus of our prayers should be, as we get back into First Timothy. Pastor John Randall will also emphasize the person that makes prayer possible, as well as the posture of prayer. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1368/29
Did you know, according to pollsters the average Christian in our country prays about three minutes a day. That's if they pray at mealtime and bedtime! We'll notice the priority of prayer as well as the types of prayers to be prayed. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1368/29
Pastor John Randall is in the early stages of a study in First Timothy, and today on a Daily Walk we'll set our sights on the first chapter. You can bet that the enemy would like nothing more than to distract christians from what really matters, and get us sidetracked. Too often believers enter into foolish arguments, debates, and start to focus on things that don't matter in the light of eternity. Or they start to add or detract from the Gospel message. To do so, is dangerous. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1368/29
Today John Randall will bring us another message from his series through Matthew's gospel. We all know the Boy Scout motto, “Be prepared”. It's also a very good motto for us as we await the time when the Lord will take His people home in the rapture. Will you be ready and prepared when that happens? Let's get ready, as we join pastor John in Matthew 25. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1368/29
Today on a Daily Walk we begin a new study of First Timothy. In the coming weeks the plan is to go through each verse in the epistle with you! Now God has a message for us to receive and deliver to others, but far too many get sidetracked and delve into things that have nothing to do with the Scriptures. It's a dangerous thing, and worth some time talking about so it doesn't happen to us. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1368/29
Today we'll present the final study in Second Thessalonians. There are certainly a lot of people who are out of work these days—some to no fault of their own and they have a strong desire to get to work. But there are those who don't want to work, and are able. The Lord, through the apostle Paul has something to say to such people, and we'll hear what that is in just a moment. And as we do we'll see how to deal with the disorderly. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1368/29
It's during those times, we need to remember how much our Lord loves us and that He is faithful. And the Thessalonian church needed to hear that. Maybe you do too? So you're saved and on your way to heaven… that's great! But how should you live now in light of your salvation in Christ? We're going to talk about that today on a Daily Walk. We're entering into a very practical section of Second Thessalonians today. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1368/29
Pastor John Randall picks up where we left off in our study of Second Thessalonians today. Paul wrote this second letter just a few months after his first, and wanted to praise and encourage the Thessalonians for their faith under fire. But he also wanted to remind them to beware of false teachings and false prophets. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1368/29
Pastor John Randall will bring us another challenging message from God's word today as we continue our study through Matthew. We'll pay another visit to the Olivet Discourse in chapter 24 today. If you'll recall this is Jesus' response to His disciples' question concerning when the Temple would be destroyed, when the end of the age would occur, and when His second coming would take place and His Kingdom be established. But today we want to pause and consider how we are to live in light of what of what we've been made aware of. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1368/29
All around the world Christians are being persecuted for their faith in Christ. Whether it's being passed over for a promotion at work, being criticized in a college classroom, or your life is being threatened… it can really shake us up. Today on a Daily Walk we'll be encouraged by the example of a church whose faith was growing, their love was abounding, and they exhibited great patience when persecuted! Have you ever been asleep when you should have been awake? I think we've all been there. Maybe we overslept and missed an important test at school, or an appointment at work! There are also scores of people today that are asleep spiritually speaking. But this is the time to be awake, and waiting for the imminent return of Christ! The day of the Lord is coming, so let's get ready for it today on a Daily Walk. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1368/29
Last time on a Daily Walk we gave our attention to the rapture of the church, the next event on the prophetic calendar… and now today we'll move on to discuss what will follow that. The Bible speaks often of an outpouring of God's judgment… the day of the Lord! And Jesus will then return. Many won't be ready for it, but that doesn't have to be the case for you! Like the Thessalonians we'll hear about today, we can and should live in expectation of the Lord's soon return. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1368/29
We may wonder at times as we look around the world, “Could it get any worse?” It's good to be reminded that Jesus is coming, and if you're a believer you have a glorious future with Him to look forward to. That's the perspective we need to carry through life, no matter how bad things get around us. Pastor John Randall will urge us to live with that understanding.
