As conversations around sexuality and gender identity dominate today's culture, Christian parents face a daunting challenge: how do we love our daughters unconditionally while holding fast to Biblical truth? With the world telling girls that identity is self-defined and ever-changing, it's more important than ever to guide them back to the unchanging truth of God's Word.    In this powerful episode of the Raising Godly Girls Podcast, host Patti Garibay (Founder & Executive Director Emeritus, American Heritage Girls) is joined by Melinda Patrick—Director of Parent Support for His Wonderful Works, podcast host of The Bridge Between Us, and author of The Daring Rescue. Drawing from her own family's journey, Melinda offers practical wisdom and heartfelt encouragement for parents navigating conversations around LGBTQ identity with grace, compassion, and unwavering faith.    Together, Patti and Melinda dive into the pressing issues facing Gen Z girls today—and Gen Alpha girls to follow—from cultural pressures during Pride Month to the influence of social media and shifting moral standards. They explore how to communicate Biblical values without compromising love, why intercessory prayer is vital, and how parents can overcome feelings of shame, fear, or confusion when their child's beliefs clash with their faith upbringing.    This episode also unpacks Melinda's three key principles for loving your daughter while standing firm in truth: engaging with God, embracing your God-given role as a parent, and trusting in the spiritual equipping God provides. Melinda reminds listeners that God never calls us into battle unprepared—and that victory lies in co-laboring with Him.    Whether you're a Christian parent walking through these sensitive conversations now or preparing for the future, this episode will equip you with Biblical wisdom, compassionate strategies, and the encouragement to lead your daughter in truth and love.    Learn more about Melinda's ministry, resources, and podcast at melindapatrick.org.    Find an American Heritage Girls Troop near you, visit americanheritagegirls.org        Add even more Biblical wisdom to your parenting quiver, visit raisinggodlygirls.com

Have you ever found yourself holding onto someone who couldn’t fully open up to you? Have you ever stayed in a relationship longer than you should have, hoping things would finally get better? In today’s episode, I’m doing something a little different. My good friend Lisa Bilyeu flips the script and interviews me. Lisa is the co-founder of the billion-dollar company Quest Nutrition, founder of Women of Impact, and one of the most honest, fearless voices I know when it comes to growth, relationships, and empowerment. Together, we unpack some of the most misunderstood truths about relationships, from why we settle to how we can start making choices rooted in self-worth rather than fear. We talk about how to stop crowd-sourcing your most important life decisions and why learning to listen to your own voice—without all the outside opinions—is one of the most healing things you can do. I share the real reason many of us struggle with being alone, how to break the cycle of chasing emotionally unavailable partners, and why true love should feel like peace—not anxiety dressed up as passion. This episode is about so much more than dating. It’s about rebuilding your self-worth one choice at a time. I walk you through my 5 daily habits that help me build inner confidence, how to tell when you’re compromising in love versus losing yourself, and the honest questions you need to ask before deciding whether to stay—or walk away. In this interview, you'll learn: How to Stop Settling and Start Choosing From Confidence How to Trust Your Intuition Without Second-Guessing Yourself How to Break Free From the Fear of Being Alone How to Create Peace In Order to Attract a Healthy Relationship How to Know If You’re Compromising or Abandoning Yourself How to Build Self-Worth With 5 Simple Daily Habits I’m so grateful to Lisa for creating this space. I hope it brings you a deeper sense of direction, healing, and the reminder that you are always worth choosing—especially by yourself. Raising Godly Girls

In a world where “love” is often redefined by culture, how can Christian parents teach their daughters to love others while remaining anchored to God's unchanging truth? This week on the Raising Godly Girls Podcast, co-hosts Rachael and Melissa tackle one of the most pressing and sensitive conversations facing families today—how to love without compromise during LGBTQ Pride Month and beyond.  Our girls are growing up in an age of loud messages about identity, sexuality, and affirmation—many of which directly contradict the Biblical Worldview. Whether they hear it in school, see it on social media, or experience it within their own friend groups, they're being asked to choose between “truth” and “love”. But what if they don't have to? What if, instead, we taught them how to walk in both—just like Jesus did?  This episode features insights from AHG Founder and Executive Director Emeritus Patti Garibay, who reminds us that Jesus never separated love from truth. With a Biblical lens from Matthew 5:17 and John 1:14, Rachael and Melissa reflect on the importance of helping our daughters see people first, speak the truth boldly, and love others deeply without affirming sin. They also share personal stories—from late-night questions to identity confusion in the tween years—and offer encouragement for parents navigating similar seasons.  You'll walk away with practical tools to help your girl understand that true love is not silent in the face of sin, nor is it unkind in the name of righteousness. Instead, Biblical love rejoices in the truth and points others to the hope and freedom found in Christ.  Whether you're having a conversation around the dinner table or sitting fireside at AHG camp, this episode will equip you to disciple your daughter with clarity, compassion, and confidence.  Subscribe now and join the Raising Godly Girls community as we raise daughters who reflect Christ's love—full of grace and truth.  Find an American Heritage Girls Troop near you, visit americanheritagegirls.org        Add even more Biblical wisdom to your parenting quiver, visit raisinggodlygirls.com

In this sermon from Genesis 19:1–20, Pastor Byron outlines 8 Signs of a Compromising Christian by examining the life and choices of Lot. Though Lot was a believer, his testimony was ruined by years of compromise—living in sin, tolerating wickedness, and resisting God's will. His life serves as a warning to modern Christians who are ashamed of godliness, hide their faith, form unscriptural relationships, rationalize disobedience, damage their witness, cling to the world, resist God's authority, and distrust His plan. Despite God's mercy, Lot's compromise led to devastating consequences for his family and legacy. The sermon closes with a challenge for believers to wake up, cast off darkness, and fully follow Christ before it's too late.

The weekly Sunday morning sermon delivered by Rev. James WilesMicah 3:1-12“And I said: Hear, you heads of Jacob and rulers of the house of Israel! Is it not for you to know justice?— you who hate the good and love the evil, who tear the skin from off my people and their flesh from off their bones, who eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them, and break their bones in pieces and chop them up like meat in a pot, like flesh in a cauldron. Then they will cry to the Lord, but he will not answer them; he will hide his face from them at that time, because they have made their deeds evil. Thus says the Lord concerning the prophets who lead my people astray, who cry “Peace” when they have something to eat, but declare war against him who puts nothing into their mouths. Therefore it shall be night to you, without vision, and darkness to you, without divination. The sun shall go down on the prophets, and the day shall be black over them; the seers shall be disgraced, and the diviners put to shame; they shall all cover their lips, for there is no answer from God. But as for me, I am filled with power, with the Spirit of the Lord, and with justice and might, to declare to Jacob his transgression and to Israel his sin. Hear this, you heads of the house of Jacob and rulers of the house of Israel, who detest justice and make crooked all that is straight, who build Zion with blood and Jerusalem with iniquity. Its heads give judgment for a bribe; its priests teach for a price; its prophets practice divination for money; yet they lean on the Lord and say, “Is not the Lord in the midst of us? No disaster shall come upon us.” Therefore because of you Zion shall be plowed as a field; Jerusalem shall become a heap of ruins, and the mountain of the house a wooded height.”1. Koshee's flagship product, Koshee Protect, uses on-site AI detection to monitor security camera feeds in real time—identifying suspicious behaviors such as theft, weapon detection, perimeter breaches, and more. “We're not doing facial recognition,” Uselton emphasized. “We're focused on behaviors—jumping a fence, concealing an item, or pulling a weapon—not identities.” The system is designed for a range of customers, from small retailers and gas stations to global logistics companies. It works by processing video locally, maintaining privacy compliance while sending immediate alerts with image frames when predefined threats or behaviors are detected. The platform is highly configurable, allowing users to set different detection parameters by camera, location, and time of day. Koshee also provides role-based alerts, enabling specific employees to receive notifications depending on the context—such as detecting weapons in restricted zones or after-hours movement on remote sites. With integration options for both direct customers and channel partners (like MDI), Koshee is enabling smarter, more responsive security without compromising data ethics. In the book of Revelation, the church at Pergamum had begun to compromise the Word of God. Its members encountered some false teaching, and they decided to go along, to get along. Today, Ron examines what Jesus had to say to them and how we can apply it to our own Christian experience.

BIBLE IN TEN

Saturday, 15 March 2025   Then a certain scribe came and said to Him, “Teacher, I will follow You wherever You go.” Matthew 8:19   “And having come, one scribe, he said to Him, ‘I will follow You wherever, if You may go'” (CG).   In the previous verse, Jesus saw many crowds around Him and commanded that He and the disciples depart to the other side. Having said that, Matthew next records, “And having come, one scribe.”   Nothing is said of who this is. It simply notes that he is one of the scribes. It is surmised, and likely so, that this person saw Jesus' miracles and was impressed enough to follow Him. But the reasoning behind the decision appears to be for personal gain. It was just noted that there were “many crowds.”   Crowds consist of people. Many crowds mean lots of people. Where lots of people gather, money is usually abundant, even among the poor. Like with selling insurance, a little from each quickly adds to a big bank account. It is the rule of multiplication.   Jesus, on the other hand, wasn't there for “many crowds.” Instead, He was there to accomplish the will of the Father, regardless of the gain He could receive. The scribes were already in a position to have wealth. He says nothing of giving up his current status. Instead, it next says that “he said to Him, ‘I will follow You wherever, if You may go.'”   Jesus is set to go to the other side. The scribe may have assumed He was going to increase the number of people he could encounter over there, thus increasing his possible income as well. This is all speculation, but Jesus' answer to him in the coming verse appears to suggest it is a correct line of reasoning.   Life application: In the church today, like in the church throughout history, there is often the idea of gathering wealth through multiplication. It is normal for a pastor or preacher to want to increase the size and scope of his ministry. This should be expected because he is putting forth a message that he, hopefully, believes is true and is worth getting out to the masses.   However, a ministry can get quickly derailed from that original purpose by receiving exactly what it was looking for. By increasing in size, there is also a need for more space to meet. In making more space, which costs more money, there is then the need to make more in order to pay for the things it has taken on in the form of liabilities.   And so, more people are needed to help pay those incurred liabilities. As such, a ministry expands, gets a certain number of people to give, sees the money coming in, and then wants to expand again. One way this has been handled, which then takes the pressure off the local church, is to form denominations.   The RCC, for example, keeps the original structure of instruction but now places all the liabilities (and ultimate profits) under one main umbrella. That main body can now control the direction of all other churches under it. As more money is needed, it begins to assimilate aberrant teachings into it because it needs to keep the revenue stream going.   This is known as syncretism, the uniting of different beliefs, cultures, schools of thought, etc., as if each belief is acceptable within the larger umbrella. This is the RCC in a nutshell. It has innumerable false teachings at various levels and in various cultures that may not flow up or over, but they keep the local churches happy.   Sometimes, these aberrant teachings get an audience, and the entire church begins to accept them into their religious thinking. Having happy and content worshippers, regardless of the truth, is profitable. Therefore, a general state of apostasy begins to take over.   It has been seen in innumerable denominations over the past centuries. Today's major denominations have doctrines that are completely at odds with the original teachings that established them. And the reason for this is almost always the same, money. Compromising for the sake of money, along with fame and power, is a hallmark of churches that expand too much or too quickly.   Be on guard concerning where you go and who you listen to. Subtle changes concerning doctrine within churches or denominations may not seem to be a big deal, but within a span of time, the people in the pews have been stewed into a state of complacency that they didn't even realize had come about.   Only the wise will look around and say, “Things have changed, we need to move out of here before we are stewed along with everyone else.” How do you think abortion has become acceptable within so many denominations? What about homosexuality?   These denominations would never have tolerated such things when they started. But now, they permeate almost all churches within their scope of authority. In some cases, every single church has bowed the knee to such terrible changes in doctrine.   Glorious God Almighty, help us to be set in our doctrine early on. And we know that will not take place unless we are aware of what is proper. And we cannot do that unless we know Your word. Therefore, O God, give us the hunger, desire, and time necessary to know Your precious word. Amen.

Send us a textFor this week's podcast episode, we're continuing our series through the letters written to the seven churches at the beginning of the book of Revelation. The letter to the third church was located in an Ancient Greek city called Pergamos (Revelation 2:12-17). The New King James translation refers to this church as "The Compromising Church" and you'll see as we discuss through the text that there were valid reasons for this title. Jesus warns the church as some members were adhering to the teachings of Balaam and the Nicolaitans, which involve idolatry and immorality. The letter urges them to repent and promises rewards to those who overcome these issues, including the gift of hidden manna and a white stone with a new name!We also would like to invite anyone who lives in the Philadelphia area to worship and study God's word with us at our in-person meeting that takes place every-other Monday night at 7:30pm. #182. We're back with another installment of ASK P, an episode where I answer listener Qs and give, surprisingly, SOLICITED advice. In today's episode, we're talking about how to handle body talk in relationships, and asking “how important is sexual fulfillment in a relationship?” Listeners write in about lowkey despising their best friend's partner, approaching mental health-related topics with their boyfriend and compromising on engagement & marriage timelines.
